take money for 14 months and no range.

Moved into our new cedarglen house on October 29/2015. Still waiting for my range that they told me a week before possesion that they didn't have it because the manufacturer is working on a defect. They told me I would get it by January 2016. They called me in January saying I should get it by march I also mentioned at that time my fridge was too small and I would like to exchange it. Thought that would have been a good compensation gesture but instead I was told too bad you've already been using it. March comes up got a phone call saying not sure when it will be in but I'll get back to you. October 2016 rolls around so I went to the store my sales rep wasn't there so I explained the situation and asked for him to call me. End of November sales rep finally calls tells me the oven still isn't in but I can pay an extra $800 and get the better one. I laughed and said are you kidding me. He also said if I would have told home earlier about not liking the fridge he would have exchanged it. He said he'd talk to his manager and call back. He called back and offered a range we weren't interested in. So we went to the store and picked out one we would like which was tagged about $400 more then the one offered. I emailed our rep saying the range we were interested in and he responded saying his manager wanted us to pay
the full cost difference. So basically they have had our money for almost 14 months and we don't have the stove we purchased and are even more mad because he said we could have exchange our fridge if we would have told them earlier WHICH we did. Thanks for the battle trail. An apology instead of excuses would have been nice as well.

New Kitchen Appliances

Bought all new appliances for my kitchen at Trail Appliances in July 2016 we are now in December 2016 and my fridge is not keep anything cool. Called Trail Appliances and they were not helpful in trying to get someone out to look at the issue. They actually gave me another phone # of another service provider, they advised they can't do anything unless they have a service order # so I called Trail Appliances again and they did nothing except say they couldn't get to look at the issue for a few days. If this was a dishwasher or oven issue I would be fine with that answer. But when I have a fridge full of food that is going bad, this is more serious of an issue. In the end Trail Appliances service department did nothing for me and I had to call Samsung directly to assist me. And good thing I did because now the part is going to take a couple of days to get here to fix the issue. In the new year I am looking at getting a new washer and dryer and I will not be purchasing anything from this company!!!

Kitchen aid Induction slide in range.

We did a full kitchen renovation and bought new appliances. As the range was being installed the other day, for some reason the door of the range simply shattered. It was not being pushed or pulled by the door at all, as it was being slid in gently, it simply made a pop noise, and like a waterfall, just shattered. We contacted Taylor the manager right away. Even though the door is not under warranty they said Trail would cover the cost of replacing it.

Endless Problems, horrible customer service

When I purchased my new home in 2013 I swore I would never use Trail again due to their awful customer service. Ridiculously poor communication. Our washer was hooked up wrong so we suffered a flood on our first day of using it. A few months later the handle on our over the range microwave fell off. Took weeks and weeks of fighting to try and get a hold of trail and book an appointment.

Here I am again with a new condo and am forced to deal with Trail again for all of my appliances. First they bring the wrong dishwasher. Then it shows up scratched. It also won't dry properly. After waiting forever to get contacted (by two different people) who I had to re-explain everything to, to make an appointment, they finally show up and have ordered the wrong part so will need to return. Big surprise. Instead of ordering a new handle that was scratched, they brought a front panel. Nothing complicated. Then they say re: the drying issue, there is a rinse aid plug that was closed (why wouldn't they have ensured this was open when we installed it, and why weren't we offered this solution over the phone?) So now we have to rebook for them to come back again, obviously during the week so we have to take time off work. Thanks for proving everyone I know right Trail, you guys suck.

Dreadful experience with Trail Appliances

Trail sold us a defective dishwasher that never worked from the day it was installed. They don't take responsibility for selling defective appliances. and try to say the issue is between the customer and the brand company, even though we phoned the day after it was installed to report the problem. We are trying to get our $ back, including the amount we paid for installation. We have spent hours on this, being sent from one phone number to another. Today the store manager refused to commit to reimbursing the total amount, refused to try to find a mutually agreeable time to pick the defective product up (otherwise we have to take time off work), then hung up on us. I'd advise anyone else shopping for appliances to save themselves a giant headache and go elsewhere.

Knowledgeable Staff, Professional White Glove Deliver

I originally purchased a Samsung Dishwasher from Trail Appliances 11 Ave SE location approximately 2 years ago. Because the delivery and installation service was so professional, I returned to Trail recently when I needed a new refrigerator, stove, and range hood.
I found the sales associate on my recent visit knowledgeable, and very patient. I had to change the delivery date 3 times due to changes in my personal schedule.
The delivery men were again, professional, polite, and they removed my old appliances for recycling, and installed my new appliances in a timely manner, without scratching my walls, or damaging anything.
Prices on new appliances are comparable to prices I have seen everywhere. They did knock off a bit for my set which makes up for the delivery and recycling charges.
I will return to Trail again when I my washer/dryer needs to be replaced, due to the fabulous professional white glove delivery service. I like the fact Trail deals in nothing but appliances. So their sales, delivery and installation staff know their products.

Appliance purchases

Purchased a washer, dryer, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and oven from Trail in 2014. To date (now 2016), all appliances except the washer/dryer have had problems. Had 2 different Trail service techs out over the years and they did not provide consistent explanations. Now have to replace one of the appliances, and when I asked the salesguy what they could do to help, his answer was "it's the luck of the draw which unit you get when you first purchased them". They were not willing to provide any further assistance. Not encouraging or useful.

Extremely bad

We have a Kitchen Aid oven that our landlord got less than a year ago, it stop working a few months after we got it, they took one month and a half to fix the fan, and three months later it happened again, this second time we have been waiting two months for the company to fix the control pannel, when they finally call, they cancelled becaused they argued that they received the wrong piece, so we had to wait again, when finally they give a day to come to repair it, THEY DONT SHOW UP!, and when we call to complain, they told us, that they came to our home and nobody
was there, and we were waiting all the time they told us to wait, so they have the worst service in Calgary, if you buy there, be
prepared for problems and no solutions for a long time

Buyer Beware on extended Warrenty

I bought a Kitchen Aid dish washer and Electrolux all fridge and freezer from Trail about 2 years ago I had it arrive early as to cabinets had to be installed around it and i wanted it on site to measure. I keep the protective wrap on during this time and had a professional company doing the work but when we too off the wrap he was a slight imperfection on the door. Trail would do nothing and made me get a hold of the manufacturer which also would do nothing sense this wasn't report right at delivery. Lesson learned.

fast forward 2 years and the dishwasher has quit it was to top of the line panel ready one for that year. Call trail as we had bought what the sales man called the additional 3 year in home service warranty. I did ask him if this was through trail and was told Yes. Can you imagine my surprise when I call trail and found that it is a third party that does this not them as promised. A just to make matters better they tell me that they only cover the parts I'm going to have to shell out a minimum of $120.00 in labour. The news just gets better iI have been told that one of the parts isn't in stock any where and that whirlpool Canada will have to order it in and this could take 2-8 weeks.

The worst part is i sent one of my best friends their and he spent about 10K on new appliances on his kitchen and he too go the warranties and I double check they told him the same thing that this was their own in home service warranty and the work was done buy them.

Lesson learned i would have been better off to buy at the brick

water softener and dishwasher

Paid $3000 for a water softener. From the start it has made a loud squealing noise that wakes us up at night. It is under warranty but they still charge a $110 trip charge to come look at it. Also dishwasher has leaked since I've received it. They've been out 4 times to look at it and still can't figure it out and will not replace it. So I've also paid $1000 for a dishwasher I cannot use and has damaged my brand new cabinets. I've went through Coast in the past and they were much better to deal with.
