Appliance Repairman

DO NOT use these guys. I paid him 316.14 to fix my leaking washing machine and 1 hour after he left it was still leaking. He came back 1 WEEK LATER and phoned me for a quote of 276.00 plus hst to fix the problem. Then what did I pay you 316.00 for ?? Customer service stinks. I WILL NOT have them back. The part to fix the machine is 22.00. I am reporting them to the BBB. Total rip off. Took 316.00 and never fixed the problem. He was here a total of 15 minutes. STAY AWAY from these guys !!!!!!

The worst experience I have ever had. They charged me over $500.00 to replace a belt on my 12 year old washer. The secretary is rude and confrontational and would not give me any contact info to complain. They lure you in to sign to have the work done and have no business ethics what so ever. Do not use them.

This company is HORRIBLE, DO NOT GO WITH THEM! They don't even deserve a star rating.
We called the company because the latch on our microwave broke and the guy came and eventually quoted us $500. Given how expensive this was, just for a door hinge, my partner and I looked into it further. We ended up being able to fix the microwave on our own, in 30 mins for less than $3. Furthermore the guy told us the wrong parts were needed when he came for the service call. HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE EXPERT. Thank goodness we didn't move forward with the repairs, but we are still out $90 for NOTHING!! I called the company to ask for a refund for the $90 service call fee (given he was completely wrong) and the management was SO RUDE, and could care less. They provided no solutions, or accommodations and barely listened to what I had to day.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. I wish I had done better research on our situation and this company (their reviews are terrible!). This company will likely be a big waste of your time and money and they don't deserve either.

Our microwave is not hearing up food. We called the Applicance Repair guys. We were told that there was an 85$ charge for the service call. After cancelling 3 times they showed up with two technicians and found out the problem after 10 minutes. They charged s $276 for the service call. There was no discussion of the fee for "labour" at the service call. Do not use this company. Will be bringing a small claims action.

Shame on me. I should have Googled this company. F rating at the Better Business Bureau, Toronto Star investigation etc. Terrible company. The first hint was they do not tell you what the cost is up front. Still have the problem and now I need a part. I will go elsewhere. Not throwing good money $280 after bad. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. BEWARE!!!

A basic water control problem could have been resolved at significantly lower cost and effort. A new vendor was able to resolve cheaper and quicker and my use of Repair Guys could have been avoided.

Although a lovely man, the gentleman who came to do the repair, Tony, could not take my BOSCH washer apart properly and could not assemble all the new parts together. He ended up reusing some old parts, I have the remaining new pieces. The machine was filled and did not leak, however, all cycles were not checked when he was finished. My washer now makes a metallic rubbing sound that was not apparent before and sadly the Appliance Repair Guys do not warranty their work. They require an additional payment to return and fix their mistakes! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!

This is the most misleading company I have ever come across. Lesson learned check Home stars first ...
Having said that I feel compelled to write a review to WARN other potential victims of this company.
Like other consumers who have posted I too got the $80.00 quote, and then the $280 charge once on site. ONLY to be told AFTER the fact that they don't have access to parts, that they didn't know how long parts would take and would get back to me.
I called their customer service later in the day to advise them that the way they operate is misleading, and to not go forward with the quote on parts. I said that given they had not been transparent up front I felt I should be compensated with a partial refund. I ended up getting some long story about appliances and at that point I advised I didn't need an appliance parts ordering lesson, and that what I needed was for them to be upfront about how they operate. There was no accountability..no compensation (even partial) for their lack of business integrity.
Do NOT consider using them for even a second.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. INSTEAD OF DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM THEY DO A "MAINTENANCE" FOR $280 THEN TELL YOU A PART IS NEEDED. IF THEY HAD BEEN UP FRONT AND HONEST IN THE BEGINNING I WOULD NOT HAVE GONE FOR THE REPAIR. THEN YOU WAIT 2 WEEKS FOR THEM TO GET THE PART AND THEN LO AND BEHOLD ANOTHER PART NEEDS FIXING. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND SHODDY - AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS

This company is in it only for the money. I have never had worse service. I now see that my experience is the norm for these folks. Book an appointment for a $80 quote. While on site, they tell you that for $280, they will "service" the machine which is probably all it needs. If any parts are required, you would have to pay. They make you sign a paper saying this and then 20 minutes later, they claim that they updated everything in your machine but unfortunately, it needs a part and they will have to get back to you. Now, I think he knew all along that he was not going to fix it.

Weeks later and several calls later, they finally quote me $521 for the part. The total cost of the repair would greatly exceed the cost of a new dryer!!

Do not call these people for any reason.
