Chouinard Bros Roofing

Chinourd Brothers came out to re-shingle our roof. We got an appointment within two weeks from when they came out to do a roof repair after a water leak. We called them late in the day Sat and by Mon afternoon they were here repairing our roof. For both jobs they arrived on time, both on the phone and in person everyone was very polite and courteous and readily explained aspects of the job detailing the shingles and extra vents that needed to be added. We appreciated their recommendations and their knowledge behind those recommendations. The job was done in one day and the clean up was excellent! The following week Adam was here up on the roof inspecting their work and walked around the whole house inspecting the clean up. Overall, start to finish Chinourd Brothers once again did a superb job and we would without a doubt recommend them. This is the second time they have done our roof.

We've used Chouinard for our roofing needs (2000 and 2012) and always been satisfied. Regardless, this time our plea for help occurred when the office was closed for the holidays, and my email answered on an emergency basis. Within a couple of hours, and at night, a patch was applied, and a couple of days later (Jan 2) the shingles repairs completed. Wow, Impressive! Moreover, each person (Lesley on the telephone, and the patch and repair gentlemen) were very polite, answered my questions, and left no debris. We couldn't be more satisfied.

Many years ago, my father recommended Chouinard based on his experience with them as homeowner and in business (CGC). It's great to know the tradition of excellence continues.

I had consulted 4-5 other roofing companies, many of whom never returned my calls, one which requested a $500 deposit until the work could be done in the spring!!
This company installed my first roof 15 years ago & the shingles survived all that time.
I was so impressed with the cordiality & professionalism of the entire team, the daily updates & follow-ups from Adam (foreman), the preparations and cleanup, the respect shown to both my and my neighbours’ property- such that the neighbours also commented positively. The work was done just before Christmas, in the brutal cold and winds as they had promised.
I would unreservedly & highly recommend them to all prospective clients.

Chouinard Brothers installed the roof on our new home. A year after moving in we had a leak in our roof. We reported it right away, but after 30 days of waiting and continuous leaking, another company fixed the issue.

After closer inspection we realized our roofing system appeared to have numerous issues. Chouinard Brothers were asked to inspect the roof and issue a report. Instead of inspecting the roof, they started fixing the issues so they didn't have to report them. We eventually received a one paragraph report without any supporting photos stating that there were no major issues.

Not satisfied with the results of their inspection, we consulted with a few roofing companies and acquired our own roofing report, which found numerous issues including Ontario Building Code (OBC) violations. Our concerns were brought to the attention of Chouinard Brothers and they denied the findings. It didn't matter that we were missing underlayment, nails were exposed and rusting (both of which are OBC violations), or that we had nail pops throughout our roof. These are just a few of the issues we have/had.

Chouinard Brothers had numerous chances to rectify the problems, but chose not to. They could have done the job right the first time - but they didn't. They could have issued a report that was complete and honest - but they didn't. They could have acknowledged the OBC violations on our roof - but they didn't.

In our dealings with Chouinard Brothers, they did not act with honesty or integrity. Their workmanship (as documented) is very poor, and our experience with them has been terrible. I would not recommend Chouinard Brothers to anyone!

Contacted them to repair a leak in our roof, they came very fast and the repair was completed on the same day. Their team is very professional and efficient. I recommend.

Came on time, cleaned up after themselves and nice to deal with. We noticed an improved temperature on the second floor right away.

We needed a new roof and we received 4 different quotes and although Chouinard Bros Roofing was not the cheapest of the 4, when we met with the staff member that quoted the job, both my husband and I had a really good vibe from him. He thoroughly explained the job and we are pleased with the outcome. The roof was completed in a timely manner just before the heavy snow began and the installers were polite and respectful of our property. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to our friends and colleagues. We will consider them again for a future siding project.

I have had a great experience with a recent roof replacement. Late fall, I found a leak in my roof and the people at Chounard Bros. quickly reacted and addressed the issue. All of the people that I dealt with were great to work with and followed through on any commitments. The work that they did was professional and the costs were reasonable.

Would definitely recommend them to anyone else.
