BEWARE: NEVER BOOK A TEAM APPLIANCE

This company is terrible and should be taken down. I was quoted $80 for the tech to show up and within a few minutes of him arriving I had to pay $300 in labor fees for him to quickly diagnose the problem. He quoted me nearly $400 for a part that actually costs $100. I was alone in the house with my baby so felt in a vulnerable place and also wanted my machine to be fixed. Be careful as they operate under many different names online so make sure to research before booking any appliance repair company. I am still left with a broken machine but luckily did not fall for purchasing a part from them.

Over charged-bad customer service-no warranty

They repaired our wall oven for $6,000 then we had the same issues a few months later. They then told us that there was only a 1 month warranty on parts after the repairman had told us it was 1 year. They now claimed it was a different part and cost of part would be another $1,500.
Had original manufacturer come in and look at oven and told us it was the orignal part that they replaced that was the issue.
The refused to accept that and would offer no relieve in coming back to fix the same problem again. Customer service is terrible.

Nightmare from hell

Charged us $316 to rip our dryer vent out of the wall, damage our electrical outlet & make our issue actually worse.

Would not honour their fake warranty. Would not provide a refund. Totally dismissed the facts and we're extremely rude.

I would have been better off literally continuing with my original dryer issue. I would never call them again in my life.

Shameless Money Grab

The cost of replacement parts and labour to repair a refrigerator was 90% of purchasing a new similar model. Once I realized this and tried to cancel the following work day just after the service visit, they tried to haggle me into accepting a 20% discount for which I was still not interested. As per the law I'm entitled to cancel the repair within 10 days but I was unable to get refunded for most of the upfront cost. No labour had been yet put into the repair, the serviceman had only made an estimate so the labour was yet to happen in the future but I was forced to pay that upfront. Given that according to their policy, labour can't be refunded I lost all money related to labour costs. Then there was restocking fees for parts. In the end I lost half of the total cost of the estimated repair. Wether it's industry standard or not I don't know but it's definitely immoral to charge for work that hasn't been done. Avoid paying anything upfront, you can't get your money back.

Misleading

I called A team and was told that I would receive a quote for repair of my Stove. I was told that the service call would cost $80, plus tax and that if I went ahead with the work, the $80 would be applied back to the bill. The service person came and then said there would be a labour charge for the quote. We paid $327.70 for his quote. When I inquired about this misinformation, I was told that it cost $80 for him to simply show up, to which I ask, why would I pay just to have him show up?? Meanwhle, the quote was careless and outrageous. He essentially suggested replacing most parts, with out testing which ones really needed replacing. NOT TRUST WORTHY.

Do Not Use A Team Appliance Repair

An unprofessional and unethical organization. $80.00 to get on site, followed immediately by arriving technician demanding $300 upfront for diagnosis of a simple, recurring issue (frozen cooling system) - technician was aggressive, and was asked to leave immediately

No offer of an estimate as you would expect from a competent and professional company (and has been my experience in the past for all appliance repair

Unpleasant...unprofessional at the very least, and entirely a grift

Repair of kitchen range (not)

Top oven on kitchen stove not heating to set temperature, called A Team Appliance Repair and a few hours later their repair guy arrived. He was at my home for approximately 45 minutes removed the back panel from stove did testing of relays on main board said stove needed new main board. For that I was charged $327.00 and he said that could not say for sure if that was the problem with the stove. Will not recommend nor will I call them again .

Beware

I had the same experience as other reviewers. The A Team Appliance Repair charged $80 service fee just to come to premises. Then they charged $285 "labour" cost, which the technician claimed would go toward the repair. However, it really only went towards the labour of diagnosing the issue. They then quoted an exorbitant amount for "parts", which apparently includes installation fees; this was never explained on the phone when booking or in person by the technician, but only after I called to complain about the costs. Very sketchy business tactics. By comparison, when I called another appliance repair technician, they quoted a service fee, came and diagnosed under that service fee, quoted the cost for parts and installation, which was a fraction of the cost of A Team Appliance (for the same part), and much more transparent. I plan to report to BBB.
