Appliance Repairman

A repair person came out to repair dishwasher. He quoted me $280 after spending some time looking at system. After it was fixed he told me the work wasn't warranteed but I would be expected to pay. He let me know that we would need a pump in the future and it would cost $600.

He left, and the dishwasher never worked. After contacting company they did not respond to complaint in a satisfactory manner and instead asked me to sign and order for the new part.

I wish I had looked them up on homestars first. I have lodged a complaint on the Better Business Bureau and encourage others who have a similar issue to do the same.

Horrible Service! Charged 80.00 just to show. Then said they would need 280.00. to take apart the machine for serviceing. They didnn't say how much parts would cost. I wanted a written estimate before I paid 280.00 and he wouldn't give it to me. This made me uncomfortable so I didn't proceed any further.

Unpleasant man to deal with, I am very angry that they are still in buisness. I will check google for references next time.

Stay away

Same problem as everyone else. Called them to fix a fridge problem at my tenants condo. Technician came out and quoted $280 + tax to fix the problem. After the "repair" and processing the payment, he left a work order saying additional parts are required and without those parts the problem will continue to persist. Called Customer Service to ask for the cost of the parts and additional labour - that would be an additional $499 + tax! So I paid $299 + tax on nothing. And Customer Service says that's non-refundable because the "labour" was already completed. Thank you Appliance Repair Guys... for taking the $360 from my kids' mouths and putting it in your pockets for literally NOTHING.

Same story as everyone else. $80 to show up and not diagnose any problem unless we paid another $280. Unfortunately my husband paid him, I would have kicked the guy out. Highly unethical. I wish he had read the 170 other reviews about these shysters.

Be as far as possible from this company. The lady told me that the cost for the technician is $80 plus taxes, the techician will come in and advise the problem and if any parts needed to be replaced the cost would be given and the initial $80 will not be charged.
The technician came in promptly at appointment, we went where the machine was, ran the machine and said that the spinning bushes needs to be balanced and my charges would be $280 plus taxes. I reminded what the lady told me who called in. He said its my misunderstanding and called in his office where the lady said that it is 80$ plus taxes in addition to the quote from the technician and parts extra. I asked the guy that should be covered in $80, but he said that the $80 is just for home visit ONLY, not the quote for my services and/or parts required.
I wish i had reviewed the homestar before getting fooled by this company.
If you want my opinion NEVER EVER call them, better you buy a new applicance cause by the time they are done with the repair, you would have ended up buying 2 new appliances. :(

I join the long list of disatisfied customer. Same story I was charged 485 $ to fix my dishwasher. The repair guy was very verbally aggressive using foul language while he was working. I was happy when he left and did not verify his job. He left my dishwasher half installed with the insulation sticking out, the dishwasher is not put in properly under the cupboard. When I told them about it they told me the same guy has to come back in to finish the job. Of course I don't want him back in my house so no help from them. I learned my lesson I should have check this website . DON'T USE THEM PLEASE

Requested a service call, technician came took the model name down, opened his binder and said it will be $280 flat rate whatever the problem, not including the part cost. Nothing was opened up or diagnosed, This cost $80plus tax.... No service provided considering it was a "service call". DO NOT call this company, easy money from you if you don't like their quote. Terribly dishonest.

Stay away from this company initial call was $80 to show up tech said it would cost us $280.00 plus tax to repair fridge 4 visits later and still no working refrigerator after the initail repair they told me it needed the inverter ciruit board, well that didn't fix the problem even though their head tech guaranteed that it would and they now tell me it will cost an additional $680.00 plus tax and that all previous repairs preformed were necessary even though the fridge is only 3 1/2 years old and that if i want the new part the compressor ordered i would have to give them 50 % up front DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY very poor service

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I took some responsibility as I did not do my home work on this company, my gas range was not working so I contacted the company I was quoted $80.00 for diagnostic when the tech arrived he told me $280.00 which I agreed to then he told me he has to ordered a part which I also agreed to
I was told the part would be $800.00
and I was given the option to pay in 2 installments (half when the part was order and the other half upon installation).. The day of installation
the tech held onto the oven door to pull the stove out to work on it apparently
the door got broken from the hinges
I did not notice until he left I immediately called the office and left a voice message ( as it was Friday evening after 5:00 PM) I called back the Monday after the week end I was told they would send a tech out to fixed it at no charge to me.. Tech came out 2 days later and denied it was him that broke the door and want to charge me $500.00 to fix it.. I refused then they went down to $300.00 I also refused to pay any thing that company I am left with a broken oven door as Appliance Repair Guys and their technician refused to be honest and take responsibility for damaging my property
I will be contacting the Netter Business Bureau and Consumer SOS

Appliance Repair Guys did a horrible job. www.appliancerepairguys.ca. They quoted $80 over the phone to diagnose the problem with our dishwasher. The repairman came and charged over $315 just to diagnose the problem with the unit. He did a poor job explaining the process to us. He followed up with a phone call saying the parts would be $519! So a total of $834 for a machine that is 18 months old and was bought for $699l NEVER CALL THIS COMPANY!
