Appliance Repairman

This company is very unprofessional. I do not believe they are qualified to repair appliances. I have been waiting for a month for a part and they keep cancelling my appointments. The technician took my machine apart and then put it all back incorrectly. Now it doesn't work at all. Before I could air drive the clothes because t wasn't heating. Now it just bangs and makes awful noises. I called and asked to speak to the owner and was informed he does not speak with customers. I do not believe they are ever coming back now the they have my money. DO NOT CALL THESE GUYS. They are also rated F with BBB and have 98 registered and unresolved complaints.

First time customer. NEVER AGAIN. Made an appt...took time off work..getting ready to go away on vacation...they never showed. Never called. Nothing. I called/wrote an email...no reply. I will never use this company. Surprised they are still in business!

Do not call this company. I am completely unsatisfied with their service.
I wish I had read the reviews on the appliance repair guys,before having the service done on my dishwasher. They do weekends, which is what prompted me to have them come over Sunday morning.My dishwasher wasn't draining completely and upon arrival the technician diagnosed it as a motherboard problem.
Similarly to the other stories here, he said he could fix it for $280.00 without parts, successful 80% of the time. I had to sign a Labour Quote Approval to that effect, no parts just labour, cash or debit only.
After spending about a half hour on it , he said it was fixed.
However, there was a pool of water at the bottom as he had found it earlier upon arrival. He said a little water is normal. Also, he adjusted the drain hose saying there was a kink in it. I figure that's all he did.Not satisfied at all with this company. I will complain to them for my money back,but I know I don't have a chance.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! Complete rip off! My story is similar to so many of the others here. Charged $80 to come out, ended up paying $316 and my washing machine was deemed unfixable. I have paid an obscene amount of money for less than 1hr of service with no working machine. The service technician was argumentative from the onset which made me very uncomfortable/unsafe in my own home. I had a stand off with him a the end to put the machine panel back on. This is unacceptable!! Changed insane money, for no service and felt unsafe in my own home. I was desperate to have my machine fixed so I did not take the time to review this company beyond the website. DO NOT USE Appliance Repair Guys EVER!!!

Wish I read the reviews before I called this place. Paid them 280 dollars up front and nothing done-couldn't fix it. Wish I could give less than zero score. Advise others -don't waste time and money.

This company is a complete rip off. I paid $80 for the service call, which was fine. But then they said my leak was because the dishwasher was not installed properly, so I paid $260 to have it reinstalled. He said he tested it and left, but the first time my tenant used it it leaked again. It took him 20 minutes and had zero parts, so the total service call was less than 1 hour and cost me nearly $350 and did not fix anything.

They told me they would not give me any money back, but sent the same technician who now said I needed parts for another $300 or so. So the entire job cost $800 and I could have bought a new dishwasher for this price. They are a terrible company. I think they rip people off, and their practices are dishonest.

Total Ripoff! Call someone else! $80 to come - then wave that if you use them - next cost is $280 plus tax to tell me what might be wrong with it. Paid that then had to call the office to schedule another appointment to actually to install a part that I don't think was actually needed. Another $287 to maybe fix it which wouldn't have fixed it at all. Diagnosed the wrong issue without really looking at the problem. Would not listen to my concerns at all.

Same story as everyone else. Is it legal what they do? I am waiting
to see what price they want for part. My story isn't finished yet.
I was told on phone that it was $80.00 per hour. That is not true.
That is just to get in your door. It is $316.40 for them to look at your machine. They say they will be back with a quote for the part. Still waiting.

I paid over $300 to fix my ice maker and it took them about 20 minutes and the ice maker is still not working and now they say I need a new one for $324 so $700 to fix an ice maker. They strong arm u when they come out , $80 to come and once there they charge u $280.

I can't believe this company is still in business! Last February our 10 year old Maytag washer started giving us lots of problems, so upon looking online for an appliance repair company, I found these guys. Their website looked good, they had gleaming reviews (yeah...I know, I know), and we liked the fact that they could come out pretty quickly. Same deal as the other reviews, they tell you the $80 will be waived if you decide to have them do the job, etc. That $80 quickly turns into $280 before you know it, PLUS there was a part that was needed to fix the unit which cost another $300+. Well, the guy finally came back with the part and "fixed" the machine, only for it to fail on us literally right after he left. When we emailed Appliance Repair Guys, they told us that this was basically a new service call and that we would be charged another $80 bucks for an estimate....ARE YOU KIDDING? So we insisted that NO this was not a new issue and that the repair guy needed to come back to inspect his work. He concluded that there was something else wrong with the unit and so we basically told them that we would NOT be using their service to fix this "new" issue. We did not pay the $80 and they harassed us and sent us to collections. A few months later we ended u having to buy a new washer and dryer set, which I WISH we would have done to begin with. *sigh* Honestly, I also we would have done the proper research before calling these guys up, because they are seriously the worst! I can't understand how they are still in business. STAY AWAY!
