We had a 20-year-old fireplace pilot starter not want to turn on. Initially, my husband and I called another company to give us their recommendations and service the fireplace. The original company gave us the wrong time scheduled for the servicing showing up early and not calling us when they arrived. When I called them, they said I made the mistake and made us wait another week before they came back. They told us that they had to buy several parts costings us well over $1,000 and to consider buying a new one.
