If you are looking for an honest individual who will give you honest feedback hire Imran. He came to diagnose our fireplace issue. The pilot was not lighting on our 19 year old gas fireplace. He immediately saw that we had never had it serviced and restored and cleaned everything and gave us the option to fix or replace our pilot. We chose to fix for now and if the issues continue he says he will replace it within his 6 month warranty period at his fair price.

I contacted Imran @ Gas Fireplace Services & Repairs after reading the positive reviews on HomeStars. I made an appointment with a very nice person (who I found out is his wife) and Imran came yesterday (Saturday) to service/repair my gas fireplace. Having recently purchased the home and never owning a gas fireplace before, I had lots of questions for Imran. He was very pleased to answer my questions and was OK with me watching the service so I could learn how to operate the gas fireplace and the controls underneath. Imran was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of tips/information on the fireplace. The fireplace had likely NEVER been cleaned/serviced and was very dirty. Imran thoroughly cleaned the entire fireplace, secured screws, etc. and got the fireplace working (which it wasn't). He took out every log (which were not placed properly), rock, etc. and cleaned them. The glass door was covered in film and he made it shine It looks like a brand new fireplace - I could not believe the difference! He even applied some type of material that made the previously blue flame look natural. This was money well spent and I highly recommend Imran and his services. He is an expert in gas fireplaces, very respectful and honest. We are thoroughly enjoying the fireplace now.

We had a 20-year-old fireplace pilot starter not want to turn on. Initially, my husband and I called another company to give us their recommendations and service the fireplace. The original company gave us the wrong time scheduled for the servicing showing up early and not calling us when they arrived. When I called them, they said I made the mistake and made us wait another week before they came back. They told us that they had to buy several parts costings us well over $1,000 and to consider buying a new one. Something didn’t feel right when we were told this, so before considering buying a new one, we called Imran for a second opinion. Boy was I glad that I did that!! Imran came on time, did not have to replace any parts, he was well mannered, honest, good to deal with and knowledgeable. After telling him my frustration with the other company, I could tell he cared to do his best to help us. He told us the previous service technician did not connect the wires correctly. The fireplace works great now and I have found my go to fireplace expert. We very much recommend him! Thank you, Imran, for rescuing us!

Since Imram repaired our condos fireplace in 2012, we have asked him to perform two additional maintenance cleanings over the years. He is knowledgeable and will leave your fireplace like new and the surrounding area of the chimney spotless. A very pleasant man, we hope he will continue to service our fireplace in the future.

Imran is one of those service providers whose card you never want to lose, and I hope that he will be keeping my home and family safe for years to come. This year I moved to a condominium and I was appalled at the condition of the fireplace -- I doubt it had ever been cleaned. Imran made it safe and I enjoy it every day now in full confidence.

This is the second time hiring Imran to service my fireplaces. I first met Imran last year when he came to fix my fireplace before I sold my house. In my new house I have two fireplaces that looked a little worse for wear.
Imran made the drive, outside of his normal service area, and arrived as scheduled on a Sunday morning. Imran arrived with his usual smile and his tool bag and set to work. Imran’s attention to detail and pride in his work is obvious when you look at the finished product.

Imran is a true craftsman. My pilot was quite rusted and instead of doing a costly replacement he patiently worked away at it, clearing the clog and getting it working again. He was courteous and thorough, and I'd recommend him to anyone with a fireplace problem big or small.
