Back in Oct 2008 our original (13 yr) Goodman Furnace ran into trouble, and as we were under contract with Direct Energy they investigated and found 2 problems, one the cause of our problem, the other a cracked heat exchanger. Bad news - RED TAG. Of course we were offered a new deal with Direct, however I had already had some bad experiences with their warranty service so I opted to call Goodman directly as I knew they had a distribution centre not far away. The person on the phone indicated that my unit did infact have a recall (our original installer never registered the unit) and recommended Dave Chaddick to work with us. Luckily this time we were not deep into winter. Dave came by, checked out the unit again and agreed the unit had to go, but worked closely with Goodman to get us a new unit, a rebate (and he had to work hard for that because the original installer had taken off all the serial numbers), and guide us through the gov't ECOenergy program. Really built up our confidence. Well last year we had excellent heating and comfort.
This year something strange happened. We had a mini flood in our furnace and adjoining room. At first we thought it was the fridge/freezer or water tank but upon further investigation it seemed clear that the furnace had water flowing (not dripping) in it. DAVE!!!! No problem, a text message, a call, and he dispatched Silvio. Silvio checked it all out, and although I cannot explain the details well enough, determined that something in the furnace definitely was not functioning properly and as it was so new made the call that we deserved a new furnace. Well he must have worked his butt off for this one ( I know what it takes to get HP to move on even simple items ) but that night Silvio and Jaime took control, delivering, removing and installing a full replacement. Keeping your paperwork is essential and made my side of the job simple.
Dave may run a small size business but his ethics seem to me to be in the right place and the guys he works with come through in spades. I have recommended other clients, and I am told that they in turn have recommended even more clients to these boys.
