Everything was very good. Cost was right on the estimate. Dustin was professional and courteous. Kept me informed on what was happening and the different options available to me. Very happy with the final product. Since there has to be a negative next time bring an ash tray so cigarette butts are not thrown on the lawn. Would definitely recommend Hatton's to others looking for work to be done on their hardwood floors.

We were very happy with the quality of work, customer service, and time efficiency of the work performed. Dustin did an excellent job of seamlessly blending our sixty year old oak flooring with new oak flooring in our home addition. He also repaired several nagging squeaks in our existing flooring, and created a beautiful curved oak border between the wood flooring and the front foyer tiling in our living room. Joel and his team worked meticulously to remove stains in the existing flooring and the company accuratively predicted that we would not notice any transition between the old and new flooring. Cal was very accomodating with our need to view a variety of stained oak options and made up several large enough floor samples to help with our decision. This is a small family business whose employees clearly take pride in their workmanship and enjoy creating beautiful hardwood floors in their customers' homes. It was a pleasure to work with this company and they exceeded all of our expectations.

Our Community Centre hardwood floor takes alot of traffic. Sometimes, larger functions can result in some pretty hard use for this public facility. Given that our facility is over 30 years old and the flooring had been used for floor curling, we were not sure how well it would refinish. Not only did Hatton's do a great job of refinishing it, but they provided us with some great tips to help us keeping it look it's best.

Cal and his team has been great to deal with and took care of my renovation customer through great service and knowledge. All repairs to old hardwood turned out great and with a last minute color change they rolled with it and still finished ahead of schedule in order to allow the family back in their home sooner then expected.

The wood craftsman, Dustin, did an amazing job of laying the new hardwood and feathering it into the existing hardwood. We have had many compliments by visitors to the home on how great it looks. The sander/varnisher was not well and in hindsight did not have the constitution to do his job as profeciently as hoped. He left the job early, showed up late, and somedays did not show up at all. The job took over three weeks longer than estimated. Much debris was varnished into the floor. At the jobs completion I was told this would come out over time as socks act as sand paper. Two years later this largely has not happened. I have added several mats and dimmed lights to hide the debris. In calling Hatton’s we were told we could pick out the debris and more finish could be floated on, although I am afraid there is too much to pick out without damaging the floor. The floor had been refinished once before and there was no where near the amount of debris that it now has. My last house had a site finished hardwood floor and it was clear of debris. I have had many negative comments about the amount of dirt in the floor varnish. Reinstallation of baseboards indicated that the floor was sanded too much in some spots. Very personable employees.

I recently had my floors installed by another company who left my floor in rough condition. I live in Edmonton and the boys from Hatton Floors came up from Calgary and completely restored them to a beautiful finish.. They were friendly, helpful, and in and out before I knew it.

I took up carpet in the bedroom and found hardwood floors, but they were in rough shape with numerous voids in the floor from where the room had been reconfigured some twenty years ago. I contacted Cal about an estimate on repairing the floor and refinishing. He was very prompt about coming out to inspect and estimate the project.

He determined that it would be more cost effective (cheaper) to take up the exceedingly damaged floor in the bedroom and replace it rather than feather in patches to the various places that required repair.

The house is a bi-level split and I also had him take a look at the front stairs which were in rough shape (gouged, painted battleship grey and very squeaky and loose etc.)

The job they did on the stairs is fantastic! They completely rebuilt the staircase and removed the old fir treads, replacing them with solid oak. They glues and screwed everything and used the old fir material to reinforce the staircase. The stairs are now so solid and quiet that it is like walking up a concrete staircase. The work on the stairs was quoted to be more than the bedroom work, and I was on the fence about the work, but I am so glad I decided to go ahead with it!

Cal was easy to work with, he got the job done quickly and the floors are beautiful.
My space needed existing floors to be shaved from an artisans painter floor to a new looking space.

We had the pleasure of hiring Cal and his crew (Dustin & Brent) to renovate our home and to remove the Lino and Carpet and replacing it with natural Canadian Red Oak and they did a wonderful job. I really can't describe the professionalism, timing and the neatness of the whole crew. Just one meeting with Cal and you sense that he is very knowledgeable, honest, direct and prompt. Very impressed and happy to recommend Cal and his crew to any person looking for work of art and quality and on top of that their dedication to make sure they leave your house with a smile on your face.
