I contacted Cal Hatton for quote on installation of vinyl flooring over heated basement floor and for refinish of main floor hardwood. Cal completed quick visit for quote 6/22 with 3 week window to order & install. Mike arrived morning 18/7 to install. Work completed afternoon 19/7 in very efficient manner and looks wonderful. Mike was very helpful in moving furniture and even worked around stereo system stand to avoid having to completely disconnect the maze of wires behind. Thank you Mike!!! Still considering future date for hardwood refinish.

I have beautiful maple hardwood that had been installed by Hatton's before I purchased the home. I was doing a kitchen renovation and decided to refinish the floor because it had scratches and dents from years of living but after sanding and a coat of stain it looked terrible. I called Hatton's who came in and it now looks amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Would add that I have hardwood throughout the house and in the 11 years that I have lived here there is not one squeaky floorboard, so that speaks to the quality of the installation.

Our house is 15 years old and our red oak hardwood floors were showing scratches, discolouration and damage, particularly in front of the high traffic areas like the sink and the two entry ways.
Cal answered our email inquiry for a quote the same day we sent it and within two days had come to do an estimate. He is a pleasant, polite and punctual individual.
Our job had a specific start and finish date which was strictly adhered to and we sincerely appreciated this. All entry points to our house were being refinished so we needed live elsewhere during the renovation. Having the work done exactly on our time frame was wonderful. We are very happy with the refinishing and with Hatton's.

Our hardwood is beautiful. The installers and finisher were excellent to work with and have in our home. We had 3-1/4" pre-finished hardwood installed upstairs to reduce the amount of furniture that had to be moved around.

On our main level, and staircase, we had site finished hardwood installed to match the existing pattern (replacing carpeting) with 2-1/4" hardwood. The floor was then sanded, stained to match the upstairs, and sealed.

The staircase and main level are our favourite. Cal suggested the colour choices. They fit perfectly into our home. Thanks Cal and crews!

A roommate with a 75-lb dog moved out and I was left with scratches in the hardwood throughout the main floor. Cal was able to meet me at my home (at my convience) within two days of inquiry to perform an estimate and the job was booked for three weeks later. The work was performed on time and on budget - no complaints except that there are some slight streaks in the finish and I chose the less expensive repair option and some scratches still remain, albeit they are less noticeable.

After searching for flooring companies, calling approximately 4 different companies, Cal was the only one who called us back and actually showed up for our first scheduled appointment. Not sure why the other companies were in dreamland but we are sincerely appreciative that they never called! Cal is a true professional from day one. Exceptionally responsive, knowledgeable and reliable. We are thoroughly pleased with the finished product and are amazed at how quick the install was. I would highly recommend Cal and his team.

Cal refinished all the hardwood in our home about 10-15 years ago and did a fantastic job. When we decided to update our kitchen and add hardwood, we decided to go with Hattons Hardwood again. We were not disappointed. Cal gave us a couple of different options and worked with us and our budget and timeline. The floors look great and we are very happy with the result. We would (and have) recommended Hattons.

We had Hattons bid on the flooring and tile portion of our renovation project. Cal was great to work with, and really worked with us to figure out the best options for our project. We choose Cal because he demonstrated a knowledge and understanding the project needs that was greater than the others. When it came to doing the work he delivered exactly as described finishing earlier than originally planned. He was also very helpful in coordinating some of the work of the other trades. Calgary and his team did an excellent job repairing our hardwood floor after the fridge leaked and ruined a section of floor. We wanted to modernize the look (from the dated Oak finish) and Cal was very helpful in making many different color samples so we could pick the color we wanted. Hattons seamlessly replaced the damaged floor and then sanded and refinished our entire
Main floor, including stairs. The floors turned out excellent and we have had many positive comments from friends and neighbors. They finished the project on time and within the agreed to budget, which was a pleasant surprise.

I had scuffs on my hardwood floors. Hatton's did a light hand sanding and resurface and the floors look new again. Work was done timely and the dust was minimal.
