Moved in to a brand new condo in Etobicoke in February (California Condos). All appliances were supplied by Tasco and ownership transferred to me. From day one the fairly inexpensive Frigidaire fridge was making abnormal noise while operating. Like having a huge boiling pot of water boiling all the time in the kitchen. Called Debbie at appliance service at Tasco. She sent a repair person within 1-2 weeks. The repair person did not even want to listen top the problem and said straight out that he can't do anything. I called Debbie back and experienced the worst customer service call I had in my entire life. She was very rude, threatening to hang up and telling me to fix it myself if i'm so sure that there is a -problem.
After complaining to the builder they send their consultant Sebastian and he acknowledged that there is really abnormal noise coming from the fridge. We even made sound recordings. They send out the same repair guy twice, but again without any attempt to diagnose, he replaced some parts but the noise is still there. I asked him to replace the fridge since after 3 repair calls it could not be fixed. He said he will see and call me. I waited several weeks but no call. Finally when I called I was told that Sebastian is no longer with the company. So I asked to speak with his supervisor and was told to speak with Barb. After explaining everything from scratch she said she will see if she can get the fridge replaced and call me back. At this point this is going on for 6 months and all the time I live in a small condo with a very loud fridge. After a couple weeks with no call back I called her again and she said they will not replace the fridge since it is cooling they consider it operational irrelevant of the abnormal noise plus I have it already such a long time, even I complained about it from the first day I moved in my condo.
So I will have to purchase a new fridge since I cant stand the noise, but not before I submit a complaint to Better Business bureau and Tarion new home warranty. It is not about the money, but about principals and this company poor customer service.
PS: they will reply to this bad reviews with "sorry please call 416 642 5600.." etc.. but still won't do anything. I called that number many times before with no resolution. That was the reason I left this review ... to want other people of this bad company.
