Marc's team is the best! they finished the work in one day. Our driveway looks awesome with stone boarders on both sides. Truly added value to our home and got nice compliments from my neighbors.
I made the right decision when choosing Nortown Paving to do my project.

Very pleased with work done on our driveway / walkway. Everything was done in a professional manner and the work crew consulted with us along the way to ensure the layout of the walkway was done to our satisfaction. Price was reasonable and they didn't cheap out on materials. Highly recommend!

We are very pleased. They communicated extremely well with timelines etc. The workmen were courteous and respectful.

These men work tirelessly and deligently to ensure their clients are beyond satisfied. 3 years ago they did our backyard patio, walkway with retaining wall and driveway. When they did the front patio they removed the asphalt that spanned the length of the house and the 3 massive concrete slabs from the front that were 12" thick. They check and recheck grading for proper drainage. Then they recheck again and get on all fours with a level, going across and filling in by hand as needed.

Update: 2 years later and some stones have moved, which I suppose should be expected. We noticed one side of our back patio never had edging put in and all the stones on that side were out of place and leaning into the garden. It took a while for them to come back and do that. They put it in before the winter and once the snow melted I noticed it was all sticking up in the middle. They left extra nails, so I guess I will be nailing it down myself.

Overall I suppose I’m satisfied because I know the removal was arduous and everything looks decent years later. I know they’re a busy company, but I would have preferred not to wait a year for the edging to be put in after multiple reminders. It’s just a shame that it seems that once they have all of your money the motivation to do a job and fix a problem is gone.

Oct 2017 - A short postscript. Shortly after my initial review was posted, I did receive a call from Nortown asking about the concerns I had with the concrete portion of the job. During this call, a promise was made by Nortown that someone would perform a review of my concrete issues on site. Unfortunately, no one ever showed up. In fact, the concrete review was rescheduled two additional times with Nortown over the next 6 months and Nortown was a no-show in both subsequent instances.

I had a driveway paved, as well as concrete front-entry steps and a garage pad formed and poured, by Nortown in November 2016.

I was extremely impressed with the organization and timeliness of the paving job. The crew was highly experienced and knew exactly what had to be done and went about getting it done in the most efficient way possible. It was a pleasure watching them work. In fact, they were so comfortable working together, that at times they seemed to communicate telepathically. Overall the paving job was great and carried out with pride and professionalism.

On the other hand, the concrete work was not executed to the same high standard as the paving work. I am very dissappointed in the concrete work - water pools on the steps, the edging and surface finishing was poorly done, the forming was imprecise and sloppy and a flower box footing was omitted. And, while not entirely atypical, a large crack showed up in the garage pad a few weeks after the pour. It turns out, that in my case, the concrete work was actually performed by a sub-contractor not by Nortown.

In conclusion, I have no hesitation in recommending Nortown for paving work. However, I cannot recommend them for concrete work.

Nortown did a great job at paving our very long driveway and then doing a great job on stone work for our entire backyard. It was a big job and they were very quick and efficient and brought a large crew with them. Our driveway had never been paved and it was filled with old chunks of concrete and other debris. The backyard was very irregular and they came up with solutions to make it look great. The finished product looks great and we are very, very pleased with the work they did and with the price. I had shopped around and did a lot of research and they had the best product and the best price in the city for our large job.

Update: Nortown crew finally repaired the deep driveway cracks after posting the comments below. I appreciate that they finally responded and honored their warranty.

The original re-pavement process from went smoothly last July 2015 and we were happy with Silvano and his crew. However, we noticed 2 areas of 'alligator cracks' that appeared 2 weeks after our driveway was paved. Silvano followed up and assured us that those lines should go away and for us to call Sep 2015 if they did not. Unfortunately, the areas remained. After discussion with Silvano, we opted to see if there are any other issues that surfaced after winter.

We contacted Silvano May 2016 as other deeper crack lines appeared. Silvano came to assess this summer and assured us these will be fixed by September. Unfortunately, since end of September 2016, I have been in touch with Silvano weekly to check if we are on the 'list to be repaired' and was reassured that we were weekly. 7 weeks later now, there is still now follow up. I think we have been more than patient with this process. I do hope that Nortown / Silvano will follow up with their warranty / word ... still waiting.

I will consider upgrading this rating then. This was so unfortunate as the first part of the process went so well.

Good price, on-time, extremely efficient, pleasant to have around, cleaned up beautifully, nice job - what more could you want? Our driveway is less than 7' wide, and most other companies couldn't do the job. Sam not only explained that they could do the job, but gave us a good understanding of our site conditions (concrete under asphalt), and very good advice about what to do. 8 guys and an army of equipment completed our job quickly and professionally. It has only been done a few days, but the driveway looks great and the water is draining away from the houses exactly as you'd want.

Nortown removed the old asphalt , prepared the base and laid the new asphalt of 900 sq. ft and prepared the base and laid 30 ft. of concrete border.
This was done in a professional and friendly way. They answered all my questions in a direct and professional manner
