McKinnon replaced our old furnace and updated some duct work for us just in time for fall. They did an excellent job, answering all of our questions, and giving us good options to move in an environmentally friendly direction while managing our costs. The technicians were professional, clean and efficient. I would highly recommend.

As a homeowner whose furnace was over twenty years old I knew that I needed to have a new one installed. I was considering heat pump because of the government incentives. I know next to nothing about either of those. Michael was very patient and helpful, and provided all the necessary information about heat pump(s) and various types of furnaces via email.
He answered all my questions prior to my choice of equipment as well as during the installation. The workers were punctual, courteous and completed the installation as planned. I actually chose Michael's service because during the pandemic he was one of the furnace specialists I called to my house after being subjected to a nasty scare tactic by the company which I was paying for yearly maintenance. Michael was knowledgable and honest, and even gave me some useful tips regarding ownership vs leasing of water heater(s).

My air handler died in the middle of a heat wave and while most companies I called would not even come take a look due to the specific type of unit I had installed, McKinnon was not only helpful but quick in coming out to diagnose the issue. I received several quotes for various repairs or replacement options and decided to put in a new unit given the age of the old one. They were over with the new parts in 2 days for the install and everyone involved was very professional and nice in answering my questions. They have an excellent customer service all around and I will certainly use them for future repairs/replacements.

They were so quick, extremely helpful, honest and fair and came earlier than expected to help me out as my system was in dire need of repair and had started leaking. I have only good things to say and would recommend them anytime.

From coming in to look at the room and give a quote to installing a Mitsubishi ductless unit, the whole process went smoothly and quickly. I was given a choice of 3 different units- which was nice to have. The guys came in around 9am and the job which included installing a compressor on the flat roof was completed by approximately 5pm. The installers were very efficient, neat and polite.
I have been using McKinnon to maintain my boiler for many years. They have been solving my heating and AC issues for years. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

We are so delighted! Michael, the owner, made time to see us same day to assess the situation and provide options. It was so refreshing to get expert advice on our options with no upsell, just the facts. Once we made our decision on the unit we wanted, the work started on time and the install services played out exactly as contracted. The install team was friendly, very skilled, they ensured the unit was working properly before they left, and took time to walk us through the settings.
The office staff were also fantastic. They are very pleasant and proactive, and they took care of all the paper work with the rental company. I can't say enough about the McKinnon team. They have deep expertise in heating and cooling and they really understand customer service. I highly recommend McKinnon and will definitely use them again in the future.

I was experiencing a slow water leak from my cooling coil in my forced Air AC unit. Michael, from McKinnon Heating Cooling visited my home to take a look at the issue. He was professional and honest. He didn't try to up sell me and or down sell me. He gave me his opinion and told me what I needed to fix the issue.
The office contacted me right away and helped me set up an appointment based on my availability.

1 - When the technicians arrived to replace my coil, I was impressed with their professionalism and candour.
2 - They explained everything to me and walked me through the steps that they were taking, something I also appreciated.
3 - When all the work was completed, my AC was no longer leaking and working like new.
4 - The technicians took the time to explain to me what to watch for, in case of any issues. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess after the work.
5 - I have to mention that even the staff who talked to me on the phone and through email were polite and understanding to my needs.

There are a lot of great things I can say about my experience with no complaints from me. I was very pleased with McKinnon Heating and Cooling and will use their services in the future. I know that I will receive fair, honest and professional service from this company.

Old condenser died and Mckinnon was able to have someone over the next day to review what's wrong and had a replacement installed the 2nd day. Initially ran into issues with the new coil but Mckinnon came back no questions asked and replaced it.

Wonderful group of people, all friendly and understanding from the phone to in person. Would highly recommend.

Our central air unit suddenly died after 20 years. And of course during a heat wave. McKinnon came through with a quick quote that was quite reasonable, a speedy install date, and a highly competent technician to install it. Great service. Great quality. Cool house now.
