Awful Customer Service

I purchased Dyson V15 vacuum which comes with what supposed to be 24-months warranty. Had a problem with the machine and contacted Dyson Customer Support and provided the invoice of purchase. They first said they will order the defective part. Then, later they stated that parts are not available for this model so they will exchange it for me. They asked to ship the defective machine to them so I can get my replacement.
I waited for more than 6 weeks to get them saying they will not support this machine because it was purchased from unauthorized retailer!!!!
Such an excuse to get away with not honoring the warranty because the machine is registered on their website in my name. And how I would know whether a retailer is a Dyson-Authorized retailer?!! what if the retailer was authorized and now they are not. How would I know when they became unauthorized? what if the retailer became out of business?
Very ridiculous excuse not honor the warranty.
If you purchase a Dyson product, you must know you are on your own. You will potentially lose your money because you will not receive any support.

dyson vacuum

Dyson ball animal 3 powerhead keeps detaching from vacuum. called customer service to resolve the issue and was told I could have a one time exchange. Selected a different model as the original vacuum was out of stock. Confirmed with a customer service representative I was getting the vacuum of my choice. New vacuum arrived today which wasnt the vacuum I chose, but another animal ball 3. According to Dyson web site this particular model is out of stock! Over the course of 2 months regarding this issue I have spoken to 4 different customer agents and have been told 4 different things. Waiting for a Supervisor to return my call regarding this issue.

Terrible customer support

Worst customer support I've ever received!
I have a problem with the motor head on my Dyson V8 (wheels don't turn properly). I first tried customer support through chat: got nowhere, the agent (was it human? still not sure) couldn't grasp what I was having a problem with despite photos and detailed description. Gave up after about 90 minutes...no exaggeration! Since then, I have called three times, no call lasting less than one hour. They agreed that the problem was covered under warranty and proposed two solutions: since the necessary part was not in stock, I could wait until it became available (no timeline estimate, but if it fell outside of the warranty period, too bad, it wouldn't be covered...huh?!?!), or ship them the whole vacuum (nothing wrong with the vacuum itself) and they would send me a new one (so...I'm without a vacuum for at least two weeks...I can live with that...but they won't guarantee the turnaround time). I asked that the problem be escalated, and after waiting 20 minutes I spoke with Miguel ("a manager") who gave me a speech about company policy and said take it or leave it...he couldn't give a damn and became belligerent.
As a manufacturer of a premium product for which I paid a premium price on the expectation that service would be available if required, Dyson has done a terrible job with their support. Good (not great) product, the worst support.

Unacceptable Customer Service and Delayed Refund

The WORST customer service EVER. I returned an online purchase on August 27th, and they received the product on August 28th. Its now October 11th, and I still havent received my refund. Every time I call, they put me on hold for half an hour, then tell me I need to wait another 24 to 72 hours. Its beyond frustrating and shows how little they care about their customers. Theyre clearly not doing their job properly. This will be the last time I ever shop directly from this company. What a shame.

Dyson doesn't care about its customers

I will NEVER buy a Dyson product again.

In 2020 bought a Dyson V7 cordless vacuum. At first I was pleased with it but soon found out it was far lower quality than I had expected. While it was still under warranty, the battery failed. It took me several hours on the phone with a tech support person that they finally admitted the battery was faulty. Then they tried to get out of replacing it under warranty because I bought it through Amazon and not directly from Dyson. Eventually, they agreed to provide a new battery under the warranty but said it was out of stock. It took six weeks before they finally sent it and I was without a vacuum all that time.

About a year later, the mini motor head failed. I had to go through the same routine all over again before they finally sent a replacement. The vacuum is now only 4 years old and out of warranty.

Recently it quit working when either the big or mini motor head was installed, but still worked without them. Again, several telephone hours with tech support confirmed that the V7 main body had failed and needed replacement. They quoted me about $200 to replace it but again it was out of stock. I waited 6 more weeks without a vacuum until I phoned customer support to find it was still out of stock. They couldn't provide a compatible replacement. The best they would offer my was a 20% discount on an upgrade replacement.

At this point, either I just got a lemon, or all there products are of shoddy quality. Based on their poor customer service, I suspect the latter. I have since bought an equivalent knockoff product from Amazon at a much lower price and am extremely happy with it.

Not only would i never recommend a Dyson product, I would HIGHLY ADVISE AGAINST THEM!

Supersonic Hair Dryer Died

My Dyson Supersonic hair dryer died after 18 months use once a week. Dyson said it needs to be replaced but is out of warranty. There are no authorized repairs near me. It would be expensive to ship for repair and the Dyson agent told me it would be extremely expensive to repair if even possible. I would never have paid this much for a hair dryer but it was a gift. I loved it but would never buy another Dyson product again. Shockingly terrible customer service on a premium product!

Dyson Ball vacuum Warranty issue

The motor bar stopped working. My warranty had 6 months remaining.
The agent I talked to went through the troubleshooting. It was determined that that the part needed replacement. The part did not arrive after 2 weeks. I called again, and a different agent said they would provide me with new vacuum, as parts not available. I had to return my vacuum to Dyson. After 3 weeks I called Dyson again. I had received info from the shipper that vacuum was delivered. They could not find the vacuum - apparently issues in the shipping department. Finally, i received an email from Dyson that a replacement would be shipped.
However, after 3 weeks - no vacuum. I called again and was told I could purchase a new vacuum with20% off. I told them about the warranty. The agent said there was no warranty. So after 3 months - they have my vacuum and they removed my warranty .

Warranty means nothing without replacement parts

Bought a cordless vacuum a few of years ago from Dyson. I needed to buy replacement parts for it. I waited months for them, they never seem to be in stock. Their email notification doesnt work for these parts and if it does the price is much higher than what was on their site originally. They offer you new vacuums at 20% off when they dont have the part. The costs of course are much higher if you do this. When I finally got the part, it seemed like a refurbished part and it damaged my floors. They screwed up on the warranty replacement when the part was in, now they have no replacement part anymore. Their conclusion was they will send me one when it comes in. Only issue is their new models dont have these parts and they never have stock. So basically the warranty means nothing.
