Lawn treatment

I have been a Dr Green customer for at least 6 years, I am totally frustrated and dissatisfied with their service. Called them three weeks ago, and left my number for them to call back, because they can never answer customer service calls right a way. They never called me back. Then I called them, and told them that I had a major weed problem, they would just move my August treatment forward so they don't have to make an extra trip even though they adverstised that they would make service calls if need be. They said they would come out last week, but didn't due to weather. They promised they would come out this week, and weather is hot and sunny, and they haven't come out. The weeds have been growing out of control for the past few weeks, I didn't prepay close to $500 for this type of service. Will not use them again.

Weed Control

No improvement after 3 months of weed control. Waste of money and effort. The weeds are more than what was before.

Dr. Green's Lawn care

When someone from Dr. Green Services called us asking if we would like to add some more things to our existing services, we told them not only did we not want to add services, we wanted to cancel all their services. After a long conversation where they even offered to do the services free (which we declined), we told the person that we wanted the service cancelled. They said ok and disconnected.

If the service had not been cancelled, they should have visited our place in early spring and sprayed the lawn. they did not do this and there were no notices on our lawn saying it was sprayed nor did they bill us. We get a bill from Dr. Green in June in the mail sometime in the second week of June. When we came back to town on June 18th, we saw a sign from Dr. Green in our lawn saying it was sprayed and saw a bill in the mail(which was mailed in early June) which was for services allegedly provided by them in April. Then we get a second bill for their visit in June. I called Dr. Green immediately. I told them we had cancelled services. they said we had not and if we did what was the cancellation number. I guess we were very naive and didn't get the cancellation number in that early conversation where we thought it had been taken care of. She said there was no cancellation and do we want to cancel? I said, yes, of course. She then said ok, it is taken care of. Then she offered to split the bill with us. I said no, I shouldn't have to pay for cancelled services. After a lot of back and forth she said she will look into that early phone call and get back to us. this was on June 19th and we still hadn't heard from them on July 19th and so we sent them a registered letter disputing the bill.

We got no acknowledgement about that but they kept calling and asking for payment. When we tell the billing department that we have a matter pending, they say they can't help us. I called customer service today and was given a run around.

So all you people thinking of employing Dr. Green's Services, beware! Try to record everything they say on the phone and get as much in writing as possible. Ask them on what dates they will come for the first visit. They bill for services they have never provided!

Another Unwanted Lawn Care Service… STAT SWAT!!!

More than two months ago, their workers came to my house suddenly to do something. Fortunately, I was at home on that day. I let them leave and told them they made mistake and I never hired them. I thought that was over. However, after some days, they came again to do something else and dropped off a $106 invoice in my mail box. I called them and told them the story. However, they said they have voice record to show I have agreement with them. But they can not show me the record. Meanwhile, they still try to sell me additional service. I said no. I told them I did not have any agreement or contract with them. I wanted them to cancel my bill and did not want their service. I though it was over again. Then I received invoice with extra interest from letters again and again. Meanwhile, they called me to ask to pay. I sent a complain letter, however there is no answer. The only thing they know is to ask money again and again. I saw here that Dr. Green was trying to bill people for services people never wanted or received. What do you think? Basically, I think people should stay away because of - providing service without agreement; - intruding private property without permission.

Unwanted Lawn Care Service

I had not wanted the service for 2012 since my contract last year was only for that season or so I was told/sold. The workers showed up at my house in spring 2012 to spray, I informed them no service was wanted this year as I had not sign a contract & sent them away. On the second unwanted visit, I again informed them I did not want the service period. They said they "had to keep showing up" until "customer service" informed them. The E-mail notification one day before the visit kept showing up so I figured I would sent a cancellation that way. The system is a one-way communication that is "not monitored" except to inform of upcoming visits so customers can not simply cancel that way either. I phoned their CS number to be put on hold. I refused and told them my name & that I had cancelled..."they would look into it !!) What's to look into ? I cancelled period. They never called back. There had been no service perform up until the phone call in which I cancelled. But they showed up agian and sprayed while I was not home... which bothered me because I have a small dog & the neighbour was pregnant, I simply did not want any spraying this year ! Then a notice of upcoming "aeration" appeared & it was impossible for me to know when they would show up to stop them. Last year when they did the aeration they damaged the side walk in front of my home. I finally was able to convince them I had cancelled, while they argued back that they had no record of it ! So I thought it was over. .. Two invoices showed up charging for the services I did not agree to & I have since had no less than 3 phonecalls to pay up. I have refused. When I tried to tell my story to the silver-tongued well-rehearsed rep. she simply did not listen while I attempted to explain. She refused to acknowledge the initial cancellation. Her agenda was to get the money period with no concern or thought about the customer's wishes & rights. They don't care period. The system is disreputable & set up to make it excruciatingly difficult to cancel with delay tactics & carefully rehearsed tactics to prevent you from being able to cancel the service. I never agreed to the service for 2012 period. Since the first 3 services in the program never happened at all before they went against my wishes and came to spray & aerate half way through the season, this is an indication, they do not keep track of a program. If they cared at all about a program, they would have noticed no invoices for the first 3 visits because I had sent them away ! I will never hire them again.

General Lawn Care Package

They were nice enough to come back and kill the weeds upon request. They did everything from the aeration to spraying on weeds and seeding the grass. I'd say the benefit wasn't there for me from their services because I failed to have the grass at a minimum but the weed killer wasn't as affective as I thought it would be.

Aeration, Weed and Feed Service

Stay away, price quoted was never price that came in bill. messed up timing and did all visits in a 6 week period and even then only spot sprayed for weeds that they could see at the time and so I've spent the last month pulling more weeds than I did last year without the service. Wouldn't even move a small kids toy when aerating, just worked widely around it. Complete waste of money.

WEED CONTROL...STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Signed up with them before the season started, seemed like a great deal at the time...discussed my lawn "issues"...never had core aeration done on the lawn and weeds. Core aeration was to be done in mid April...then end of April...then May...then first two weeks in June...then I get a notification on the 25th of June that they would be coming the next day asking that I clear the lawn of any obstructions....instead of showing up I get a phone call telling me that they are unable to make it and I should be doing it in November anyways....the best part is that each time I had enquired on why they hadn't been showing up in April and May as they said they would I was told via email and over the phone that it had been escalated to Management each time. In terms of weed control, they show up on May 30th, right before a down pour to spray my lawn…I call to enquire and they send someone out again on the 8 of June again...4 hours before a down pour…I enquire again and they never come back. I get a call last week with some guy trying to sell me additional services claiming that this year is the worst year for grubs...in a nice way I suggest that they should worry more about completing the services they've committed to instead of trying to sell anyone anything else. Especially when they are incapable of providing the service I've already paid for. We are in the middle of summer and my last scheduled visit was at the end of May (2 month gap). I go to their website over the weekend and issue a complain asking that someone/management call me…instead of calling me…I find a paper indicating they've come by to spray today (August 2) with the following hand written message "I have blanket sprayed your lawn due to the amount of weeds"…and this is after I've already spent 4 hours over the weekend filling up a paper yard bag with monster weeds….and by the way…management has yet to call me. I paid $300 for lip service and a lawn that looks worse this year than it did last year…if you take my money…SHOW UP. At least my neighbours, family & friends won't have an issue with them…cause they know to go elsewhere. It also appears that they pick and chose who to respond to on this forum, while I understand Kyle is only one individual but with a 5.8 out of 10 average rating I would think they would hire someone full time to monitor and respond to this forum…I wish I did....BTW you should ignore the perfect 10's given to them...it's strange how they all seem to be submitted continuously in groupings from different locations on the exact same day...check out March 19, March 27, April 30, 2012, etc....see how many 10's you can count on Nov 25, 2011.
