I had not wanted the service for 2012 since my contract last year was only for that season or so I was told/sold. The workers showed up at my house in spring 2012 to spray, I informed them no service was wanted this year as I had not sign a contract & sent them away. On the second unwanted visit, I again informed them I did not want the service period. They said they "had to keep showing up" until "customer service" informed them. The E-mail notification one day before the visit kept showing up so I figured I would sent a cancellation that way. The system is a one-way communication that is "not monitored" except to inform of upcoming visits so customers can not simply cancel that way either. I phoned their CS number to be put on hold. I refused and told them my name & that I had cancelled..."they would look into it !!) What's to look into ? I cancelled period. They never called back. There had been no service perform up until the phone call in which I cancelled. But they showed up agian and sprayed while I was not home... which bothered me because I have a small dog & the neighbour was pregnant, I simply did not want any spraying this year ! Then a notice of upcoming "aeration" appeared & it was impossible for me to know when they would show up to stop them. Last year when they did the aeration they damaged the side walk in front of my home. I finally was able to convince them I had cancelled, while they argued back that they had no record of it ! So I thought it was over. .. Two invoices showed up charging for the services I did not agree to & I have since had no less than 3 phonecalls to pay up. I have refused. When I tried to tell my story to the silver-tongued well-rehearsed rep. she simply did not listen while I attempted to explain. She refused to acknowledge the initial cancellation. Her agenda was to get the money period with no concern or thought about the customer's wishes & rights. They don't care period. The system is disreputable & set up to make it excruciatingly difficult to cancel with delay tactics & carefully rehearsed tactics to prevent you from being able to cancel the service. I never agreed to the service for 2012 period. Since the first 3 services in the program never happened at all before they went against my wishes and came to spray & aerate half way through the season, this is an indication, they do not keep track of a program. If they cared at all about a program, they would have noticed no invoices for the first 3 visits because I had sent them away ! I will never hire them again.
