I have never been more impressed with service received from any tradesperson ever than I was with Tim, the gentleman who came out to do a maintenance call for our fireplace and furnace. (And having had a number of tradespeople through the house recently, I speak from a wealth of experience.) Tim was polite, professional, helpful and he (in my opinion) went out of his way to ensure he did a thorough job. He identified a problem with our furnace. One that has been longstanding but had never been addressed by prior maintenance/service personnel. Our furnace sounds the best it has in a long time. We now do not have to turn up the television when the blower on the furnace kicks in. I have and will continue to tell the story about the fireplace maintenance for a very long time. The fireplace glass was black. We had had it maintained previously through our maintenance contract with enercare. Tim said it was quite bad but that he would clean it up and we'd take things from there. He called me downstairs several times (always politely calling me Ma'am) to explain what he had found, or what he was doing, or what a potential problem might be. To make what could be a very very long story short, what he found essentially was that the components were not put together properly. As a result, the pilot light had been largely obscured and the burner was likely partially obscured as well. I asked him what the result of that would be and he said that it would cause it to burn dirty - thus causing the massive amounts of soot on the glass and box. Our gas fireplace looks and is performing the best it has in years. Tim went out of his way to not only to maintain the fireplace and furnace, he went out of his way to ensure they were working properly. He identified items that were missed by the personnel who maintained them previously. I would not hesitate to recommend enercare and Tim specifically. I can only hope when we have our maintenance done next year that he will be available. Please extend our thanks to him.

It is such a good feeling knowing that you are sitting down to write a review for a company that exceeded all of your expectations. We have been in our home for 30+ years and were having our roof re-shingled. We had had some leaks at the location of the roof vents. Knowing that, we knew that the insulation would have been affected. Also, we knew that the standards in terms or R value would have likely changed dramatically since the house was built back in the 70's. We had not previously upgraded our attic insulation. I set about doing my research, particularly looking for consumer reviews. We were particularly pleased with the amazing reviews we read on HomeStars. We requested a quote from Insta-Insulation and from another company as well. We requested a quote for the roof and the insulation from that company. The other company's quote for the insulation was significantly higher and they requested a deposit. We were contacted by Insta-Insulation almost immediately after requesting a quote. An appointment was booked for a salesperson to come out and give us an estimate. Prior to the appointment, Insta-Insulation sent us an e-mail introducing us to the sales person who was coming out and detailed his experience in the business. Bruce arrived on time and was very professional. He advised us of the price and indicated that he would send us the estimate in writing via email. We received the estimate the following day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to delay having the work done. In any case, when we were able to schedule the work to be done, we contacted the office and booked a date. Several days prior to the appointment we were sent an e-mail confirming the appointment that advised us of any actions we need to take prior to the installation team arriving. We received a call the day prior to confirm when the team was likely to arrive. Adam and Eric arrived on time. They were very professional. They explained everything they were doing. They answered my many questions. They left my home as they had found it (except for the attic that is!) Our attic insulation was brought up to code. (We were only at 20 and code is now R50) We were very pleased with the office staff, the sales staff and the installation team. Everything from start to finish! We likely need to get some insulation down at the back of the house in future and we will definitely be calling Insta-Insulation to get that work done when we are ready.
