We had insufficient ventilation in the attic after a major renovation of a 1912 house. Different companies gave us different solutions - most suggested major work or full roof replacement. Jason came in and took a lot of care in walking through a less intensive solution to try first, and patiently answered a lot of questions. In the end, we installed new intake vents and replaced some upper vents with some great solar ones. This is working really well so far and we appreciated the common sense advice, prompt quote and installation.

The inspector Dave was excellent for pre and post audit, taking me through all the details and also the different rebate program requirements. My low score reflects the terrible admin support once the post -audit process was done. I had to email several times over three months to followup and ask them to complete their end of the online submissions for the federal and Enbridge rebates. The followup and support on that end of this process was very bad.

This is third time Ive used this company and it was another great experience. From booking my appointment to the actual move, it was organized, professional and the staff are all great. Thank you again!

Billy, Ben and Nick moved us in the middle of a heatwave with some thunderstorms in between for good measure. They worked incredibly hard and were extremely professional. They treated all of our furniture and boxes with care — and there was a lot of stuff (full house from family of 4). We would not hesitate to call them again. On the back end, Tiffany was very responsive and helpful when I booked the move, and easy to reach for any questions I had.

I was very impressed with their communication, setup, speed, and the quality of their technicians. The initial visit to assess our space was worth the service call fee, as we had a weird basement in-floor heating setup that the previous owners stuck onto the existing water heater (supposed to have a different kind of tank or a separate one). Nicholas laid out all of our options and patiently answered all my questions. I did not feel like there was any pressure to go with the most expensive route. The appointment process was quick and smooth (within a week). They came at 9 am to remove the old rented Enercare tank and installed the new one, cleaned up and were out by 3 p.m. They seem to genuinely care about the quality of their own work and I would definitely call them again for plumbing, AC, HVAC or other-related work.

The 4 different recommendations from neighbours were so spot-on: Ben and his crew exceeded our expectations from helping us plan the scope of work, working around some weird issues on our old downtown house to executing all of it under time with a spotless clean-up at the end. Our flat roof needed full replacement after years of spot "fixes." Ben was clear on suggestions and patiently answered many of our questions. He also warned us that we wouldn't know how much new insulation would be needed until they tore it up (turns out we needed A LOT!). He kept us updated on that throughout the job. We also had a mangled trough that was touching the side of our neighbours' house, which leaked constantly, and no other trades could come up with a smart solution other than to try and replace it. Ben suggested removing that trough completely and "angling" the new flat roof to send water towards a new back downspout. Then not happy with the ugly look of the downspout jutting out, he and his crew figured out a way to run it under our existing back wooden walkway by carefully cutting it away and replacing the wood pieces. His crew worked so hard through two very hot days to complete the job (less time than anticipated), and then cleaned up so well that we couldn't even find an errant screw or garbage anywhere. We had 2 very, very minor things that needed adjusting afterward and Ben responded quickly and came within a day or two to address them. They have great pride in their work. Super professional; could not recommend them more. With the insulation and roof vent etc, we've already noticed a better, more even temperature, and no more trough issues!

I’ve been using A+ as our regular monthly cleaning service for several months now. They are punctual and thorough and easy to communicate with if I have to change plans last-minute. I’ve used different cleaners in the past and A+ is most consistent and have done the best job. I’m relieved to finally find a service that’s high-quality and reliable. Price is competitive as well.

First of all, I have no issue with the actual technician or his work. Isaac was wonderful. It is the dispatcher/customer service line that was an extremely bad experience. Our furnace quit this morning so I called at 7:30 am to ask for a service visit. I had to sit through at least three different attempts by the agent to sign me on to their one-year plan ($260 for unlimited service calls, parts/labour). (I personally don't believe they're necessary for a fairly new furnace.) She asked me several times to repeat my information even though I know the line was clear and I was speaking slowly. It was more like she was distracted. Then when we finally got to booking my appointment, I was again put on hold. Several minutes later, she passive aggressively said she had to check with someone else how to book a simple service call — because I was her first-ever customer who declined to buy the plan. Long story short, my husband stayed home for the 11 am-3 pm window she promised. No one came so I called back. There was NO RECORD of an appointment. I spent at least 20 minutes on the phone with this woman and she didn't even book our appointment properly. I was livid. When I asked what Enercare would do to make up for their mistake and the inconvenience, I was offered — a small discount on a one-year service plan. It was insulting. Why would I want to lock myself into service for a year, when 1) they can't even get a simple appointment right, and 2) actually step up to offer me something to keep me as a customer. Even if it was $10 off my service call, it would have shown they cared about customer service. Even though the technician himself was wonderful — he replaced a broken igniter in the furnace — the company's "customer service" on the front-end has turned me off them for good.
