A Team Appliance Repair

On October 12, 2021 booked an appointment for October 13, 2021 for window 11am to 2pm. I was quoted that service $80 and if any repair needed to be done $80 would be included in the repair fee. Waited until 2pm to call back to ask where a representative was, they mentioned they tried to get in touch with me to move my window to 3pm to 6pm - there was no attempt, I even confirmed what number they called. Finally they were like yes someone is on the way. The technician arrived and stated that for the dishwasher the mother board was no longer working but was fixable. I asked in his expert opinion would it make sense to just buy a new dishwasher instead in investing in a diagnose and repair of $250.00. He stated that he could fix it and it would be too expensive to buy a new dishwasher at $700.00. I asked him to call me back if a part needed to be included. I did not recieve a call back and total cams to $333 plus $395 additional for a part. My tenant stated that it was still not working. So I called the main line to get an understanding of the technical JP's comments. They basically told me that's the service and too bad. So I'm cautioning any individual to use another company before using this one as their business lacks integrity. Just look at the Better Business Bureau raring. They don't even care to answer the requests.

They came to repair a know error code on our washing machine which needed a part they knew about. Showed up without the part, told us it would take 5 days to arrive so offered a temp fix for $330.00 as soon as the tech left our house , the machine stopped working. They refuse to come back and refuse a refund. Also they quoted this part first $350 and then changed their minds to $550. Customer service is a foul mouthed ride highschool drop out. The service technician was rude, forceful, dirty and smelled of bo , he stunk up our whole house. After spending this money we are now forced to buy a new washer because they left our machine in worse shape then before they arrived. It doesn’t even start anymore

One of their technicians came to my house and charged me $280, and might I add that he would only accept cash, to service the main board and the cooling system of my fridge.

Less than 24 hours later the fridge is still not repaired. Lisa from customer service refused to hear me out and either provide me with a refund or send someone to actually get my fridge working. She kept repeating I had to pay $1800 more for them to come replace the compressor.

The technician advised me that he had fixed the fridge but it was a temporary repair and that I would eventually need a compressor. He accepted the payment with my understanding that the fridge was going to work, but eventually I would need a new compressor.

I understand that I called on a holiday Monday, however Lisa from customer service department refused to allow me to speak to someone in management, or resolve my problem. She kept insisting that I spend $1800 for them to fix the compressor.

The apparent dishonesty I received from the technician, and the lack of integrity and professionalism from Lisa is compleutely unacceptable.

Due to this experience, I give this company ZERO Stars and reccomend that you choose another company before you too get swindled out of $300+

I called The A team Appliance Repair to fix my faulty dishwasher (won't complete cycle). Tech came in and immediately wrote an invoice for $333.35 which he called labour charge. He asked me to sign and pay upfront. I asked him to finish the work before I pay but he insisted. He charged my credit card and said he will reset the panel. Within 15 minutes, he said he reset the panel and then turned on the dishwasher and said it is fixed. We asked him to wait to test the appliance before he leaves but he declined and walked out. Five minutes into the cycle, the dishwasher stopped. Nothing was done by this Tech to fix the appliance he charged $333.35 for. We then called the Tech's office to complain but they were not ready to listen to our complaints. Please do not call The A team Appliance Repair to offer you any service at home. The Tech was bold enough to write on the invoice that parts in the amount of $589 will be required without discussing it with us or presenting us with the invoice. He left it on top of the dishwasher that he never worked on. Help protect innocent customers from facing this type of negative experiences.

Dishwasher leak, tech attended the first time ordered a part and still leaked, attended a second time ordered a different part and still leaked then said a new motor is needed. It’s like going to a mechanic for brakes and when you leave the mechanic he says you need a new transmission. Makes zero sense. The tech is incompetent and management won’t refund the parts that were never the issue. I don’t recommend this company, poor service.

I called the Appliance Repair Team to have them come to look at my washer machine which was not draining properly. They came later the same day, seemed like very responsive. Told me that if I replaced the drain pump then the machine would work again, total $300. Since a new machine is about $900 then I told them to go ahead. After the repair, I tried the machine and it had exactly the same issues and errors that it had before.

I called up the company to get the service tech back because he didnt fix the problem so they arranged to come back in 5 days. Not as responsive also considering that they were just there and did not fix the problem.

Tech arrived again and said that he reset the machine and it shoud be fine now. Then he left and in trying the machine it still has exactly the same problem, still not fixed.

I call the company and they tell me that the tech told me that to fix it will be $800 more. He didnt tell me anything! but he should have told me this amount on first visit then I would have declined since a new machine is $900.

Talking with the company I made clear my disappointment and that their tech charged me $300 on first visit for nothing so I should get this money refunded. They (Sam at Appliance repair team) refused and said that they cant refund for completed work. But remember they didnt do anything because the problem was still there.

I did read some reviews on the company after this and many similar complaints. DO NOT HIRE THEM.

Additionally, Sam did hang up on me during the call after refusing to provide a refund or fix the machine as they said they would on first visit.

I cannot emphasize enough, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Charges by the job and not the hour - quoted me $295 for less than one hour of work. Did not tell me the price of the part until 'after' installed. Part was $725 and retails for $275 delivered. Ripped off !! Fridge works - you get a 1.

DO NOT EVER LET THIS COMPANY INTO YOUR HOME.
They will misdiagnose the problem on your appliance on purpose. They will make you believe that getting a new appliance is not a good idea and that the only problem is to replace a compressor on your fridge. They will make you believe that once the compressor is replaced, everything will work. They will make you pay 50% deposit for the compressor, and the $280 service charge. Then the day they're supposed to install the "compressor" they will tell you, it is actually not the compressor, it's something else. Here's the kicker. They still want you to pay for the rest of the service even though they never installed the compressor! And they come up with different reasons as to why you still need to pay for the rest of the service. Thats exactly what happened to us.
Whatever you do, DO NOT EVER GOOGLE "appliance repair" on your computer or phone. Their company name will show up first on the search engine, not because they are a reputable company or that people google their company names numerous times, but its maybe because they pay google to have their name pop up first. Please call your appliance brand service number directly instead. They will NEVER send A Team Appliance Repair to your home to fix your appliance because they are blacklisted from top appliance brands. They know what they do to people. They are not there to repair your appliance. They are only coming to your house for one reason and one reason only and it's not to fix your appliance and charge your fairly. If this review can help someone else from being treated the way we were treated, it makes me feel better. KARMA will eventually catch up to them. Good luck!

Do not use this company!!! Our Bosch dishwasher was leaking and we called them in in May 9th. The side strip on door was leaking and when we called we asked if repair people had parts and were told they had some parts in truck. We book service call which was $80 which we were told would be waived if we used them to do a repair. When the technician arrived he agreed we needed a new strip for side of door .
He told us it came in a kit with the door support and the cost of repair was $400. We had to give them a $207 deposit. He said it would take 2-5 days to get part in. After a week we called and checked on the status of the part and was told 1 of the 2 parts were in but they were waiting for the other part. We then communicated that the technician has told us it was a kit and how would one part come in if it was indeed a kit! We said if it wasn’t a kit We asked if we could just have the part we actually needed. After many calls and promised they would call back after they spoke to technician they finally came in on May 21 to do repair which we were told would now be $176 which seemed more reasonable. He had the incorrect part with him- the bottom door support which we did not need. At this point we decided we just wanted to cancel service with this incompetent company. We were told that they would refund us only $62 out of the $207 deposit we had paid them . After many calls we finally got the $62 credit on June 4th.
The customer service team give you the run around and don’t get back to you. Avoid using this company. W have ordered the part ourselves from another company for $70 and will install ourselves. The people I dealt with over the month were Ella, Val and Sharon.

Our washer was diagosed wrong so we ended up getting a new washer for no reason! The hot water hose was filled with calcium which wasn't cleaned!
