Our former property manager recommended us with 2 HVAC companies but after seeing the high rating of Home Trade Standards on Google reviews and HomeStars, we decided to give Kevin a call. Kevin was wonderful, and he was very quick to answer our texts. The technicians Mike and Hassan did an amazing job installing 2 of our fan coil units. They were friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We are very pleased to receive excellent customer service from Home Trade Standards!!

This company helped us resolve an impossible situation in an efficient, responsive, reliable and price competitive way.
Here is what happened:
Unexpectedly we were faced with replacing a broken condo heat pump of a very specific type during post-covid opening and major Ontario heatwave, when technician can pick and choose their appointments and many do so.
Called around a number of various HVAC companies and variously were quoted very high or dealt with incompetent intake personnel or were given useless far-off appointment dates. Some did not want to provide service, claiming supply chain shortages or being fully booked.
Found Home Trade Standards on the web and contacted them after hours. Kevin the service manager called right back and delivered a quote very shortly. We got installation appointment in less than a week. Even though manufacturer /supplier erred and sent the wrong type of the pump, Home Trade Standards technician arranged to correct it and we had the pump installed and blowing ice cold air the following day.
The company was honest, easy to deal with, understood our predicament and the first one that actually showed customer service.

I was given a quote and promised a Magic Pak HVAC unit for my condo, plus $100 cashback. When I accepted the offer, I was informed that there are no Magic Pak units available in Canada at the moment and I have to accept a Canadian product Napoleon. This is a new product on the market while Magic Pak has been a leader for decades. I was forced to accept the alternative (for the price of Magic Pak) since I had a new tenant in my condo unit and could not make him wait. The installation was ok and I am told the unit is working well. I am still chasing the company for the cashback - 6 weeks since the install and numerous emails - still waiting. Overall - not a great experience.

Kevin sent Igor and Martin to recondition our HVAC unit. Several
companies wouldn't or couldn't work on our Skymark unit as it
is out of production. Our unit is now blowing icy cold. They
were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. We would

Home Trade Standards provided quick response time to my inquiry about replacing the humidification system at our down town condo. The technical explanations were thorough and the quote came very quickly. The technician who cam to do the install was professional, courteous and very thorough. He responded to my questions thoughtfully and helped set up the system to the most efficient for our requirements. Notwithstanding a slightly more complex installation than we originally expected he overcame the obstacles and finished the job quickly and neatly. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if the need arises.

I called this company related to the problem with my unit heat pump (Hvac). They took care of the problem very quickly. They are very honest and Professional. Our Heat Pumps (our condo unit has 2) were not providing heat. Home Trade Standards came in and fixed the issue quickly and the technician George did a fantastic job.

Home Trade Standards came in for a service call at my apartment and very quickly found the issue. Unfortunately it was something that the building management is responsible for fixing, but they generously reimbursed the cost of my service fee.
