Quality of work 4 stars, tiling and back-splash were good, outline of gloves & sponge?? left on our brand new quartz counter (tiler claims he didn't do it) and grout haze in spots on both floors. Have pictures of all.Tiler entered our home while we were at church on Sunday morning w/o our knowledge (what if we had been in bed!!), did not fix the problem. Ceiling guy did not clean much so Jeff asked if I would for $100, took me a full day. We have never had ceiling repair so were completely unaware that we would not be able to stay in the house for 3 days.Timeliness 3 stars, a number of delays, don't know if that's normal. Confirmed with Jeff that we wanted to use him July 12, no detailed quote until Aug 5, job was done (mostly) Sept 21. Communication 2 stars, not detailed enough for what was being done/not done and caused issues resulting in extra charges. This is where the real trouble begins. Jeff is a nice guy to your face, not so much behind your back when you disagree with the extra cost his tiler wanted to charge. In addition to some other items he wanted to charge $500 extra for removing the sub-floor. That was included in our contract so we were not agreeing to it. Tiling to ceiling was not included in contract, Jeff said it wouldn't be that much different when we asked for it. His idea of not much, is different than ours, communication in writing first would have helped. My husband told him we needed a serious sit down and I have attached screenshots of the texts relating to that. He told us to contact his sub to work it out, that is not why I hired a contractor. He also mistakenly sent me a couple of texts that were meant to go to the tiler, about repenting sins and our mental state. I could go on but won't. We came to an agreement on the extras. Would not recommend due to how unprofessional he was and the number of delays. Being nice only works if it's real.
