We had our home built by Heron Homes and everything from start to finish has far exceeded our expectations. Dealing with Alan not only made the transition easy but it was satisfying seeing our home go from a plan to reality.

No problem was too big and no small issue was overlooked. Every time we needed to discuss some issues regarding our build, Alan was always there to assist, suggest, recommend and more importantly was always willing to hear what we needed.

I have no hesitation in recommending Heron and Burke for any construction that you might be planning. Alan was able to give us a product that he and his company took great pride and respect in constructing.

Alan and Paul, along with their team of architect, engineer, interior designer and the endless number of trades people they have work for them on a project are all true professionals and provide a product that goes above and beyond.

As both Alan and Paul said to us throughout our renovation, when they provided options, they would say This is what I would do for my own home. They really took the time to help us understand our overall plan for not just renovating the house, but turning it into a masterpiece.

They took their time with us to walk through every detail along the way. As we worked with them on a weekly basis to see the progress at our house, we were able to see all of the underlying changes and the quality of workmanship. I dont say that slightly, but I truly believe we won the lottery in finding Alan and Paul to do this project.

Due to the level of complexity with our home, and it being of heritage stature, we really were able to get into the nooks and crannies with both Alan and Paul, and all of the various trades people to make the house into something that is not just visually pleasing, but we know the underlying structure of the home is rock solid. In my mind, it is more important that things that are behind the walls and underneath the floors and above our ceilings are more important than just what we see from the drywall out. I know for a fact that all of those things were put together in a very solid way thanks to Paul and Alan; in addition to making the finishes from the drywall out, outstanding.

I would not hesitate to recommend Alan and Paul to anyone that I know to do any level of renovation big or small. Theyre very attentive to their customers needs and they really do suggest the things that they would want for their own home.

Our project was a complete gut of a 3500 sq ft, 100 year old, 2.5 story home in Toronto.

Paul and Alan came onto our project after we had to part ways with our original contractor. They saved our project.

They are very experienced, trustworthy, and just nice people to work with. They know what they are talking about, and do what they say they are going to do. They have long-standing relationships with high-quality tradesmen (e.g. flooring, tiling, siding). They don't cut corners and corrected things that needed to be. In our case, the included framing, roof, siding, and spray foam - these would have caused MAJOR problems for us down the road if they hadn't been caught and fixed. Paul was onsite more or less every day and was on top of the trades. He was also there to answer the many many questions that we had.

When it came differences in opinion on design/functionality, they walked us through options, and allowed us the freedom to make the final decision on specific details (e.g. railing dimensions, shower glass details).

We really like working with them and wished we had them from the start. They don't have fancy branding and marketing, but they know how to do construction. If we take on another project, we'll definitely be calling them.

Closing in mezzanine floor, new office, new porch and plumbing and heating of basement. Great team.

Alan Heron Homes did an amazing job redoing our ensuite. I was very specific on the stone and fixtures that I wanted and they did not disappoint.
