I purchased a refurbished computer from James about 2 years ago. I reached out to him asking about a system low battery error message - when I emailed him, no response. When I called and got a hold of him a few days later, he was courteous and subsequent email correspondences with him were too. The solution was to replace the battery which I couldn't find so James offered that the next time he was in Georgetown, he would swing by to help. That never happened - numerous attempts to reach him went unanswered, why offer to help when you have no intentions to! Btw, he's no longer in Acton (may want to change the company name???). If you are looking for that local, hometown service we're used to receiving in Halton, don't look here!

James is a great guy and did a super job fixing and cleaning up my computer. He's friendly, reliable, efficient and I would recommend him any time. If you're computer is out of control - call James!

I took my laptop computer to Acton Computer Repair on March 2nd 2011 for repairs. The machine had hardware problem’s "Hard drive", had failed after it got knocked off my table and hit the floor; James fixed it and recovered all of my data. The laptop was also riddled with every type of viruses one could imagine. I wasn't able to access the internet or run any program on my computer, without it freezing up. James removed all of them and optimized my computer that same day; I got my laptop back within a few hours so I got lucky with same day service, the price was more than reasonable and affordable. I recommend Acton Computer Repair to anyone having problems with their computer. I found the Owner James Snow to be very professional; he took the time to explain everything to me in great detail in terms that I understood, he has a great passion for his work and it shows in the way he deals with customers, and the little extra’s that he does like making sure everything was set up as close to what is was, he installed Google Chrome, Skype and other programs for me, set up my email accounts and made sure everything was running like clockwork before handing it over to me. I was overjoyed with his commitment to customer satisfaction.
I think that with James’s professional and caring approach, maintaining customer satisfaction will continue to be his priority; he truly values each and every customer, as well as their opinion. He is a very thoughtful and humble person. James, I wish you continued business and personal success.

whenever i need any help with my computer, the first thing I do is call Jim. It doesn't matter if it is a minor problem or if I can't get on the internet, he is willing to talk me through anything minor, if it is something major I know that I can drop off the computer and Jim will fix it in a short time, usually by the next day.

I am a senior and I find it very difficult to bring my computer to a shop for repairs. When I had a total computer crash I was devastated. I called Acton Computer Repair and told James my problem. Within a couple of hours he arrived at my home, fixed the problem and re-installed all my software, set up my internet and saved all my nearly eight thousand pictures! I was, and still am, totally grateful to him. I have been a loyal customer of Acton Computer Repair since its beginning and will remain so. You can't beat his prices or service and his follow up is great. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my computer.

Absolutely phenomenal! ACR is able to aid in learning and diagnosising issue with programs as well as computer hardware. ACR was able to determine that my power supply was bad (brand new computer from the box) by just answering a few questions over the phone. Other things that I have consulted about are the better programs to use over others, equipment and accessories to buy for the computer and to maintain proper care of my computer. The service is not only professional but friendly and is broken down into simplistic terms as to not overwhelm the not so savvy computer user. I will continue to use this company in the future and will be the only one who receives my business.
