Put simply, I would recommend Integrity Electronics. I'll go into detail below, but the end-to-end experience with Vlad and Roman was positive. Read on if you want the full version of my experience.
I requested a quote from Integrity Electronics for a security camera system, and within a day or two I got a reply from Vlad. I provided some initial details and requirements up front. Vlads reply Included an initial plan of the camera layout, by using a Google satellite view of my house, annotated with proposed camera locations. He also recommended a hardware that met my requirements. The camera he selected had a dealer discount, which was passed along to me!
Before committing to the job, Vlad and I had a meeting over the phone. I really appreciated the fact that he set up a calendar entry for this call. When that time came, he called exactly when he said he was going to call, and we discussed some final details. I committed to the job and we established an installation date.
When the install date came, Vlad kept me informed of his ETA. Vlad and Roman arrived and the 3 of us immediately explored the perimeter, assessing installation options (which also included assessing the attic). I would have preferred an installation where the ethernet cable went through the attic, but that option was out of the question due to a number of limitations with my house. Vlad suggested another alternative that wasn't intrusive, kept the aesthetic clean, and used the bare minimum of conduit to fish a small length of the ethernet bundle into the unfinished portion of my basement.
During this time there was a lot of consultation between Vlad and Roman, but I appreciate the fact that Vlad was transparent with the discussions the two of them were having.
Once the tools came out, the installation of 6 cameras was quite fast. Maybe 4 hours. Vlad and Roman worked quickly and kept me informed throughout the day, answering all of my questions.
When the installation was complete, Vlad and Roman explained how the Network Video Recorder (NVR) works, and helped me get the software up and running on my phone and my computer. I felt a little overwhelmed with all of the information, and the decisions to make (such as constant recording versus event-based recording). If anything, I would have preferred a little extra time on this back end of the process, to feel more comfortable managing the system. However, I understand that the software isn't technically their responsibility.
I wasn't aware that the software seems to be tied to the camera brand - maybe I'm not quite correct about this. But my advice to others who like to research: don't research just the hardware, but also research its software, too. I'm not saying I'm disappointed with the software; I'm just saying it's tied to the hardware so it should be one of the things you consider in your selection process.
The day after the install, Vlad sent me a couple of emails; one was the invoice. The other two messages contained the network information for the recorder, and a the other contained link to the user manual for the recorder (with the PDF attached).
After the installation, I had a technical question about one of the cameras. I emailed Vlad and he called me the next day!
In summary, I'm very pleased with the service I got from Integrity Electronics. Vlad was really easy to work with and communicated well during all phases of the project. On the day of the install, Vlad and Roman were very efficient and accommodating. Thank you Vlad and Roman!
