Mesh and his crew was able to replace, reuse, and install our railing and banister on short notice. They were a pleasure to deal with and did an excellent job turning an old, out of code, railing to an up-to-code railing. They also recommended to re-use the handrail, which they sanded, stained, and re-installed within a quick 2 day turnaround.

The new railing transformed our newly bought place and made it modern. We love it!

Last week, Ideal Stairs replaced our carpeted stairs with hardwood stairs and we are so thrilled that we made them our first choice.

Our introduction to Ideal Stairs came as a result of a project they had recently completed in our neighbourhood and had their signage posted.

Our initial telephone contact was with Mesh who responded to our request for a quote in a timely manner. After providing Mesh with pictures of our stairs, we had a virtual consultation and he gave us a detailed explanation of what the process entailed. He was readily available to address any additional questions we had prior to our decision-making and confidently assured us that we would not be disappointed with any work undertaken.

Once the project got started, Rajan communicated with us daily to ensure that we were pleased with the work completed and to address any concerns we had, as well as to keep us apprised of their scheduling.

During one of his courtesy visits, after a discussion with Rajan, he suggested replacing the spindles for an updated look. Without hesitation, we took his professional advice which we appreciated and are so glad that we did. This has definitely added a WOW to the finished project and our oak staircase looks impressive.

The team of workers worked diligently throughout the project and executed their craftsmanship with excellence. At the end of each day, before leaving, they ensured that the workspace was thoroughly cleaned up.

They did an exceptional job in turning our mundane stairs (including replacing the stringers) into a masterpiece within a week. The quality of their work and attention to detail is evident throughout.

Upon completion of the project, both Rajan and Mesh followed up with us to ensure our satisfaction with the finished product. Our stair project was reasonably priced and the company also absorbed some of the costs for the additional material which was required to reinforce the safety of the upper railing.

I will say that Ideal Stairs absolutely exceeded my expectations. I needed an extra handrail installed for a senior having difficulties going up and down the stairs. Mesh quoted me a price within a day or two of my email. He told me that it would take about 6 weeks but they delivered this in half that time. The price was much higher than other quotes but Mesh based on the reviews and my conversation with Mesh I had the confidence in Ideal Stairs.

Now comes to the actual product. Absolutely amazing workmanship. The handrail looks far superior to anything I imagined getting. Its looks better than my builder handrail. The installation took a little longer than I expected as they stained the handrail at my home. I'm guessing because they needed to make sure the stain was a close match to my existing handrail. The two installers did a meticulous job ensuring the handrail was installed correctly and securely. The curve of the handrail at the bottom was done to perfection.

My stair railing have been split in the conjunction point and need to repair. After talking to Mash for his profession advice. I decided to updated my outdated carpet stair way to a more solid hardwood stair and railing with the iron picket all at once. Rajan and his team did a wonderful job for me. They are very friendly and did answer all the question I have asked. Very professional and highly recommended.

This is a truly professional company. In April 2023 they installed new stairs, handrail and upper hall flooring. Their attention to detail workmanship and cleanliness was beyond expectation.
From administration to the installers end result everything was positive.
The design they use differs from others providing a neater smoother feature.

After using Ideal stairs I would never use anyone else. They did an exceptional job on my stairs and matched the newly installed flooring to perfection. Their tradesmen are true professionals, as is the management team too. The results exceeded my expectations, we are so happy with the results, so glad we chose this company.

Meshs knowledge of stair construction was very helpful. It was one of the main reasons that we chose ideal stairs for the job. He was extremely attentive to our requests. We had a last minute change and he was flexible and understanding.
The install crew were very respectful and professional.
They showed up on time and did not leave that day until the project was complete. They also did their best to minimize the inconvenience during the process. Upon completion, they cleaned the entire area, even the garage where they did all of the cutting. They left our house with no sign of a renovation being done.
In conclusion, the workmanship was absolutely outstanding and we are extremely happy with the way it turned out. From the initial deposit to the completion date was approximately 2-weeks. I would absolutely used them again for future projects and highly recommend them.

Mesh & Rajan to the rescue!

At the beginning of Dec, 2022, we hired a contractor begin work, to remove carpeted stairs, install hardwood treads and remove, repaint and reinstall railings & spindles. After his first day of work, he left us in a complete mess & unsafe conditions, he attended on 2 more occasions without any real progress except for excuses as to why he couldnt continue on with his work. On Jan. 18, we terminated him the contractor. That same day we contacted Mesh at Ideal Stairs. He advised us that they normally dont accept work beyond Durham Region but after hearing of our dilemma, they asked us to attend their office that same day. In spite of the distance to Port Hope, they agreed to take on our project. The next day, Rajan sent out a team to start and complete the project. Two weeks later, project completed. New treads, new risers & stringers, new spindles and painted railings. Even a last minute request to include our basement stairs was taken on without hesitation or delay. We have received rave reviews on their work by family and friends. We highly recommend Ideal Stairs!
