The Home Improvement Group - THIG

Les and the home improvement group have done a ton of great work on our house. They've repainted it twice, and renovated our kitchen and our front porch.

Les does a good job talking through the options up front and he always makes sure the results are great.

After interviewing almost 10 different contractors, I had a great feeling about The Home Improvement Group right away. That feeling was confirmed when Aldo started work on the two very different pieces of work we had for him. We have the highest standards and demand top level craftsmanship, which he fulfilled 100%. The bathroom renovation is beautiful, from the tile work to the plumbing structure beneath it all. The TV wall unit demanded a lot of back and forth and partnership on planning out the perfect design. Aldo's input was valued and added to the effect of the gorgeous end result. Couldn't be happier with the finished products.

THIG rebuilt our front awning after severe raccoon and subsequent water damage, along with a number of minor interior repairs. They did the work within the estimated time and budget. Scheduling was very easy thanks to their size and the handyman they sent, Tibor, did fast, tidy work in very hot weather. We will definitely ask for Tibor again. Extra thanks to Melanie for handling the logistics. We are now working with Les from THIG on planning a larger renovation.

They did a fabulous job laying the floors and install trim I n a timely fashion and working around the business while we served the customers.

We also had them paint our racks , walls and install a new countertop.

They have a extremely professional , and friendly team that work with their customers.

We were extremely satisfied with a job well done. !!

The general contractor was very nice and professional and helpful. His crew though was good but not great or exceptional. Demolition was performed without proper containment (for example, a gap was left between the plastic sheeting and the ceiling) and so construction dust was much more pervasive than it should have been. This was surprising and annoying. The carpentry and joinery was good enough but not great. Unfortunately, the team had no experience with barn door installation, which however I would not hold against them. And it must be said that we are sufficiently satisfied with the final result. I must also say that the initial plan to install pocket doors had to be abandoned because of wiring issues and the company supplied re-sized doors at no charge, which was very professional and much appreciated.

Exceptional craftsmanship and professional experience. Our kitchen reno was done in a timely manner and with great attention to detail. Thanks to everyone, especially Vigen, project manager, for handling all aspect of the reno with expertise.

Douglas listened to our issue and developed a plan to troubleshoot it and resolve it. The work was done well and as scheduled. The team was careful and worked cleanly (particularly considering it was plaster!). And the replacement crown moulding is a perfect match with the previous. Plaster repairs and painting were done efficiently without rushing.
We are very pleased and impressed.

THIG renovated our ceiling and we noticed a crack a month later. When I asked this be fixed, it was handled efficiently and quickly. Than did a great job. It was fixed under warranty.

Douglas Parra at The Home Improvement Group is a very competent and reliable project manager. Douglas was very patient and accommodated many changes we made to the original plan and provided invaluable feedback during the entire process that helped us to focus on what was important. The entire crew was very professional and trustworthy and did an excellent job. Our project was completed ahead of schedule and we are extremely satisfied with Douglas and his crew and will most certainly hire him for our future projects.

Jean Paul was professional and followed up with us every step of the way. I was particularly encouraged when I received the estimate a few hours after in-person visit of the basement renovations.
All the contractors were fast while proving exceptional quality.
