Thank you for your exceptional review of our quality design services Nikolay. This is a real 2 for 1 review and we would like to respond to it differently to show our sincere appreciation of clients who come back to us because of our honest professional service. All projects are surrounded by nuisances causing the golden triangle relationship between Client, Contractor, and the Architect becomes tarnished. With the law office project, all parties ended up broken-hearted. To say the least, we were surprised by the invitation to get involved in Nikolay’s house gut renovation but shortly after, we drank to a new partnership. Quickly, we started shedding our design experience into a new interior design focusing on a new residential elevator. At first, Jelena did not want to contaminate her open kitchen and master bedroom en-suite with a manly oriented elevator but at the end, she didn’t mind it at all. The design was rather quick and easy since we did several site reviews analyzing the space limitations versus the client’s wish list. I am guessing that many would be curious about this comment that architects always start with recognizing the limitations in order to discover the opportunities space will provide to be programmed. The other way around will bring desperation. We also like to send special thanks to Nikolay who understood that the house belongs to the lady and her voice should be the loudest. We all followed the happy wife-the happy life slogan and we all are good.

We would like to thank Green Hill for their strong support provided here. We are particularly grateful for the recognition of the real challenges with this project and the phrase “complex issues”. To make that phrase more precise we mentioned many times during the design and construction phases that this land was too small for the proposed building. It may seem impossible or rather funny but that was true and to everybody’s astonishment we completed the design and construction of that project successfully. This project had many unique aspects to it. To start with, the city of Oakville did not have that much experience with condominium design so we had to help them with the Ontario Building Code to review our own project. The other aspect of this project was that we did not use steel structure but structural studs which is very new in Canada. We created a detail shop drawing to coordinate the engineering panelling design with the site. That added many hours of project coordination in the office and on the site. I remember for the concrete ramp we couldn’t find large companies to pour the concrete ramp because of its complexities. So we took the challenge to draw a 3-dimensional shop drawing for it and go on site and collaborate with a small company to mark it, form it, and pour the concert for the ramp. I must say for this project, we were quite pumped up since it gave us many opportunities to pad ourselves in the back that we were able to test our creativity and say we did it again.

Thank you for your wonderful review provided. I must say that there are always challenges with every project we do however as I always say to my clients that they should not underestimate their role in the success of their project.
In 5 Nipigon case, we went through the planning stage within 5 months and permit process shortly after which by any standard was a miracle. It is very true that we paid our undivided attention to this project at the time but the success of our concerted effort was the client attitude who lend us his ears and listened and acted to our effective strategy and timing. The job of an architect is not just solving special or technical problems related to the building but coach the owners to become problem solvers on their own. Jimmy, Thank you for your fantastic review. it was a pleasure working with you and your family. I enjoyed the process of working on the 2 projects. First, we started planning to sever the land and build two detached houses and then the neighbor was not going to give a green light and we changed our plan to substantial renovation and extension.
