From the initial call Vahn was not only patient and helpful in answering all my questions, but extremely informative on helpful tips to ensure our home inspection was done thoroughly. I called some of the other top ranked home inspectors on Home Stars but I found them very abrupt and impatient with me when I asked questions. Vahn came in and walked us through each portion of the house taking 4 hours to conduct an extremely thorough review. I would highly recommend Vahn anytime.

I would say that Vahn went over and above with what I expected in a home inspection. Vahn invited us to follow him through the whole process. It was an eye opener and we learned a lot. Not only did we get a thorough report, It was much more extensive than we would have imagined. Very soon after the inspection, he provided us with 82 detailed pages with LOTS of pictures of OUR home, not examples of somebody else's home. He also followed up with me letting me know that I could contact him at any time in the future with questions for the life of my home ownership. I selected the Extended Home Inspection with a full thermal scan and it was worth every penny for the added peace of mind. He is very knowledgeable and he encouraged me to ask questions. We have heard horror stories about the home inspections, but the experience we had with Vahn was wonderful. He was very punctual, professional, courteous and knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions regarding the inspection. He provided me with continuous feedback as he inspected each area of the house, so I was constantly informed about the condition of the property I was purchasing. Vahn's report (which is 93 pages) contains detail information regarding the condition of the house as well his recommendations; which I find very helpful. Vahn addressed our concerns and gave detailed answers to our questions in a twenty minutes phone call which made us decide to hire him for a home inspection last week. Vahn was very knowledgeable, detail oriented while focusing on those major issues. We found Solex via Homestars and, due to their great reviews, decided to use their home inspection services . We were not disappointed. We put an offer on a resale home and arranged an appointment with Vahn who was very accommodating. He was polite and came to the house on time. He walked my husband throughout the house while he explained his findings. Vahn was very professional and patient with all our questions. In the end, he provided us with a comprehensive report of the inspection, complete with photos (even with close-ups of the chimney and flashings, etc). We had to pay extra for the thermal imaging device he used during the inspection but it was worth it as he was able to point out water leaks and missing insulation. Overall, we were very satisfied with Vahn's work, his professionalism and his ethics. We highly recommend him and his company to anyone looking for a home inspection service.

I was in search of a home inspector on a very tight timeline for a home in Thornhill, and after reviewing some preliminary reviews on Homestars for some top rated inspection co's, I decided to try Solex.

The high ratings are indeed justified...Vahn was prompt in both returning my calls to schedule the inspection with short notice, and in arriving for the appointment on the agreed upon date/time (he actually arrived early and was waiting for me when I showed up).
Vahn was thorough, and took time to explain his interim findings after each stage of the inspection. His final report via email was sent promptly as well (next day), which included a report that checked for any recalls that may have been issued with respect to the appliances in the home. The inspection report itself was provided in electronic (pdf) format, which I found extremely helpful when quickly searching for specific information (e.g. when my insurance provider was asking about certain things about the home's systems/plumbing when i was getting an insurance quote over the phone).

Recently I have been having some problems finding a good home inspector so I went online to see some reviews. I couldnt believe how many people were speaking so highly of Vahn, so I decided to give it a chance. Thankfully I made the right choice! I couldn't be happier with the experiences I've had dealing with Vahn and the Solex Group. This week will be the 3rd time I will be using Vahn for my home inspection. He was absolutely amazing each time I have used him for inspections. Always quick with booking an appointment and always on time. He never rushed through anything, and was more than patient to go through it with me and explain everything to make things clear. He was honest and took his time to look at every detail he could and make sure the job was done right! I felt more than comfortable when he was done the inspection and had an extremely detailed report in my inbox less than 24 hours later.
