Solex Group Professional Home Inspection

The owner of the Solex Group (Vahn) was phenomenal during all phases of the inspection, answering every question, no matter how small it was.

What I appreciated the most during the inspection was the fact that he went around the exterior and interior of the house and explained things that were issues, could be improved, and he even made some suggestions. I think that is the best part, especially for a novice home buyer, the verbal interaction with the clients. From my perspective, I learned a lot of things that I would have never known otherwise, or would have felt embarrassed to ask about.

When it came time to check out the roof, Vahn didn’t hesitate, he took his ladder out, and like Spiderman, he was up on the roof in a matter of seconds. If you talk to some other companies, they will visually inspect the roof from the ground. I am not sure how that’s supposed to work. Vahn also went into the attic.

I would suggest spending the extra $50 and get the thermal imaging which can pick up things that the naked eye cannot, such as possible drafts and leaks. Ask about this service and what it entails. For an additional cost, you could also do mould or radon gas tests. Just putting it out there, if any of those meet your criteria.

Within nine hours of Vahn leaving the site, I received a 40 page report is chalk full of information, findings and photos (plus another 15-20 pages in appendicies). The next day, an addition was made to the report, which was impressive because I thought once the initial report was sent, that would be it. All in all, Vahn is a true professional. The customer service level was top notch.

We needed tan expert opinion about some problems in a bathroom. Very difficult to decide on who to hire services from, but some good reviews led us to Solex Group. Vahn was able to come on a really short notice. He was not only knowledgeable and professional, but also patient and willing to explain in a friendly way (some impressive gadgets he's got as well). The report was very concise and unbiased, presenting all the facts and recommendations. We would definitely recommend Solex Group to my family and friends.

We used Solex group for pre-inspection for a house in Richmond Hill. Due to time constraint we had to find someone who was willing to do the inspection on Monday on anlonn weekend, luckily we found Vahn and he agreed to perform the inspection. Vahn arrived at the house 10 minutes before the scheduled time and he was very thorough and honest during the whole process the best part was he took me and my wife to all the places in the house he was inspecting and would give us details of what he thought throughout the process. He was very methodical and started from outside the house then garage then basement and then backyard and kitchen and slowly to the upper level and attic. He provided us with a detailed report within 24 hours of inspection, the report helped us decide not to put offer on the house as there were too many issues, we highly recommend Vahn and we would use his services again, thanks Vahn.

We contacted Vahn for an extended home inspection of a property we eventually bought back in Dec 15. It was an old house built in late 50s. It was our first home purchase and we didn't know much. So we really needed someone who could tell us about the conditions of the house. We were grateful that we found Vahn. The initial communication was smooth. He came in on time, and spent a good four hours inspecting the house, even taking a look inside the attic. His inspection was very detailed. He was also very patient, and explained everything to us in very simple language. The infrared inspection was well worth it, to confirm that there was no active leaking. He sent us a 120-page (!!) report the next day, including all the details as well as some useful information. our agent who has been in the business for many years said he had never seen an inspection report like this...
We actually contacted Vahn for a second inspection on another property but had to cancel it as the agent wasn't available. (It turned out that the house was sold during our communication.) We will definitely use Vahn in future and recommend him to family/friends. Thank you Vahn!
