Window Choice

Window Choice was highly recommended to me by some fellow friends. The estimator was prompt, informative and presented many options to myself and my wife. We also checked references and they were all positive. So we decided to move forward. The installers were prompt , professional and took care in their work. Even after all was installed and little adjustments to the window closures were needed on a few windows, the company returned and adjusted all fine. We are very happy in the quality, value and workmanship. Another happy client for sure. :-)

This review is a little overdue but I just recently discovered HomesStars and thought this review was due. James and his team provided quality windows, patio door and custom sized door at a reasonable price. The work was done on time, on budget and no mess left behind. James was able to secure the gov't rebates just as they were ending and was came back to fix some small damage to our front door that WE caused at no charge. I will not hesitate to call James again to quote on our next job.

We were referred to Window Choice through family and we are so happy we went with them. James and his team are amazing! We had a small issue in the beginning however James is a consummate professional and handle our concerns and worked with us until we were 100% satisfied. We only had to provide a $50 deposit to secure the order as James is so confident in his team and was not prepared to be paid until we were happy. He was patient and took his time to ensure our questions were answered, big and small. We never felt rushed, he made the experience easy and painless. Our doors are BEAUTIFUL and add such elegance to the curb appeal of our home. We were so happy with his work that we decided to use Window Choice again for a new home we just purchased!

I moved into my new home recently, for which I desired to replace the main door and few windows. Window Choice gave me excellent choice and quality and workmanship. The workmanship was very satisfying and overall the product gave a very good value for money. I found Niraj and the installation team very professional and punctual. They were very customer friendly as well.

I have been working with Window Choice for many years, They replaced my home windows and recently they replaced my front door. Mr. Niraj Mittal from Window Choice is very cooperative and efficient person. He guides you to go for right choice, economical but still very elegant and eye catching. My latest experience of front door is very pleasant. Door design is very good and eye catching, everyone who visits us, gives good comments and ask about the supplier cost etc.

I had a patio door installed at a reasonable price. I was told by Jamie at the time of the quote that their service was great and that if I had a problem that I was to advise them and they would take care of it. Upon completion I notced a small hole in the screen. I advised Jamie and was forwarded to the company that made the window, they missed three service calls and rescheduled two more calls. I was told that a guy quit, that there was an emergency and then that the screen wasn't in stock. I contacted Jamie on several occasions and was told to tell the company that you have been patient but you want it done, and the latest, that Windows Choice only installs the unit, they don't make them.
So, the promise that is being made at the time of quote...don't believe it. They "talk-the-talk" and that's about it. Pay a little more and get a reputable company that will do what they promise. The last e-mail Jamie sent is textbook on how not to treat a customer.
In reaction to the company response below...the work done by the installers was great, the 1 out of 10 was for the back office support. The promise was for service beyond compare, and pushing off the customer to deal directly with the window factory is not customer service, nor is just replying to e-mails. Service is taking responsibility and being the point of contact for issues, and this was not done, it was handed off to someone else and when they didn't live up to expectations, Window Choice should have at least stepped in. James didn't do me any "favours" when he bid for the work. He competed for a contract I assume he wanted to do, otherwise he could have walked away, which he seems to be doing now. By the way, I was property manager and am now a social housing administrator and have vast experience dealing with trades. I'm not often dissapointed but when I am, they hear about it. Hence this review. Again, the 1 out of 10 was for service not product, James seems to have lost the thrust of the comments.
Please note that since I posted my comments on the reply from Window Choice, James has logged on and changed significant portions of his original reply in an effort to appear more resonable. This puts what I'm writing without proper context. This includes his original comment about "not doing me any more favours" and that "i must be often dissapointed with my contractors". Changing these comments is dishonest and further draws attention to the company's level of integrity. My remarks remain unchanged and perhaps will give the reader a clue as to the original exchange. This reflects so poorly, that I'll now change my rating to a 0. This shows that the company is more interested in damage control than earning a good reputation.
One last comment though, it is true that not many companys warranty the screens, but that warranty is related to rips and tears during use, after the unit was installed, not the fact that the screen was delivered WITH a hole in it.

We had our front door replaced by Window Choice in May 2013. Our double front door was replaced with a single door with 2 sidelights and a transom. The sales rep James MacKay was great to deal with and very responsive to any questions that we had. Custom designed glass work in the transom was also not a problem. We ordered the door in early April and had the door completed and installed within 6 weeks; on time and on budget. Zoran and his associate installed the door in less than 1/2 a day and did a clean and fantastic job. We are very pleased with our new door and the service we received from Window Choice. We would recommend them to friends and family. Many thanks to James and the team!

I've had great experience with Window Choice, they are professional and their work is very clean and well done. We initially had our bedroom windows replaced, and recently we've done our kitchen and family room. We're now planning the rest of the windows, also with this company. They are reliable and work was done on time, as contracted.

We put seven new windows in our house on the second floor. Window Choice came to give us an estimate first and I was more than impressed with the price and the salesman who showed up. We had two more estimates from companies closer to home. One company asked if we had any scaffold in case they had to install the large window from the outside. That is one of the larger window manufacturers in Ajax. We decided to give Window Choice our business. Eric the salesman came back to firm up the deal then we had to wait. After a couples of small delays our windows are coming. The installers were professional and polite. They worked from 730 am to 430 pm or so and didn't stop. The windows look great and so far seem to be doing what I want them to do (keep the heat in). I will deal with James and crew anytime I need windows or the likes. Over all the price was the best and the customer service is great and work is professional. Thanks Pete

I painfully interviewed over 10 companies and at the end was going to go with another company based on price but Niraj came back and offered me a good deal that fit within my budget and promised me the same quality job and workmanship that I observed at a neighbours home - I was very impressed with their work and final result. The job was done very professionally and the team who worked in my home were friendly and nice. They allowed me to spray my mold prevention liquid before installing the windows and did their best to be careful and help clean up after as we have very small children who were still crawling at the time.
Only problem was that our unique window grill design (which other companies either refused to design or wanted extra money for) was manufactured incorrectly for only one window - but the company did not hesitate to satisfy us - it just took awhile because Niraj had to work closely with the manufacturer to ensure it was done right which meant he had to go out of his way. Also this same window cracked a few weeks after installation but for this they were much quicker in manufacturing and coming by to replace the window (I think this was because the manufacturer already fixed and created the design template for the grill pattern so they didn’t need to do that again!).
The quality of their work is superb...after reviewing many contractors and asking a million questions to understand their step-by-step process I noticed that Window Choice covered extra details that other companies charged extra for. I did my research and visited their references to review their work along with the other two contractors I considered at the end. My own hard work researching everything paid off as it has now been over a year and the windows have made a difference both esthetically (got quite a few compliments) and the windows are good quality and help with energy efficiency. Their work is warranted for quite a few years and so far they have honored every part of their warranty which gives us piece of mind. I have recommended them and will definitely continue to do so.
