Installed furnace and air conditioner

Our contractor had furnace & a/c installed in 2013 during our house reno.
Both units now leak water, have cold air blowing out of the pipes attached to the a/c unit. Find out the pipes attached to the a/c not installed/connected properly.
Have tried to call this company as we have a 10 year warranty.
Both numbers do not work - assuming this company is now out of business!

Ducting and install gas furnace in raised bungalow

They never showed up when promised, I missed lots of days off work because of this, they didn't install ducts in the 2 downstairs bedrooms, when they installed the furnace they blew a fuse but didn't tell anyone, it was the middle of winter and luckily this year it was a mild one as the furnace was off for 4 days! We agreed on a $500 discount and they were paid in full.

Now we discovered that they cut holes for the ducts upstairs in brand new hardwood way bigger than the size of vent covers and about 2 months ago we discovered that they didn't put a duct in the downstairs bathroom. They kept promising me that they would go and do it, the salesman Pavle
told me that the owner Sasha didn't want to do it but he told Sasha that it had to be done. Now Pavle isn't answering or returning my calls or emails.

I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

Installed new furnace

Worst choice I ever made. They installed a furnace last winter and it has broken down 3 times. They come and do patch work then leave. They once didn't even want to come out because they thought my wife didn't know what she was saying. I hate this company and now I'm stuck another winter with no heat. Can't get a hold of anyone and I had to call direct energy. Gave AB Comfort the bill and they refused to pay for it. So much for 15 years parts and labour. Direct energy told me the furnace was not installed properly and it would have to be reinstalled. I am going to take them to court. I hate this guy Sacha. Made my Christmas hell

Furnace and Hot Water Tank

Sasha and the team are very knowledgeable in their trade. They are quickly able to assess the situation and give you a range of options to suit your needs and wallets. Our job was completed in one day with a full check of our HVAC system prior to their departure. In the event of problems, one call gets them to your house within a day. Would highly recommend again.

replaced heating system

As a General Contractor, I have never come across a less trustworthy, more unreliable, more incapable company.
A job they said would take 2 weeks took 8 months, and actually never got finished. They rarely showed up more than two days in a row, and often two to three weeks between visits.
Almost everything was incorrectly installed and had to be repaired, or reinstalled. No installation manuals ever showed up on site, even though they were readily available, and all mistakes were clearly covered in the manuals.
The workers took absolutely no care when working in the house. They cut holes through carpet, they never used any drop sheets or cleaned up after themselves, and they cut through structural members within the house to install their ducts.
Unbelievably bad service, and I've seen some of the worst.

geothermal installation

Our heater was end of life but AB Comfort lent us a temporary one to allow us time to install the Geothermal. He was also very flexible in schedule. We were doing a major renovation (addition) so different parts of the installation took place over a period of a year. There aren't many options out there for Geothermal in Toronto and AB Comfort was also the most affordable.

furnace, air-conditioner and fireplaces

ABCOMFORT was our heating contractor at a house in a Yonge and Lawrence area. They did complete ductwork including design, a furnace, central air and 3 fireplace as well as air purifying system. They were very professional, the job was done on time and the price was excellent. They even arranged the credit for us at no extra charge. They did me a favour and applied for a permit at no extra cost. They were flexible with any adjustments I asked for and very knowledgeable about their field of work. They were recommended to me by a friend and I will gladly recommend them to all my friends.

Complete HVAC & hot water for our new home

AB Comfort was the HVAC company brought in by our general contractor to install our furnace, AC and hot water when my wife and I renovated our home. The "average" ratings I have assigned their price and quality reflect that I am not knowledgeable enough to assess the quality of HVAC work, and that I do not pay the bills and thus cannot comment on their pricing. I *think* our furnace is all right I say this because we can heat our home. However, AB Comfort has had serious difficulty ensuring that we have hot water and AC, and even more difficulty understanding the severity of these problems when we've been back in our house for six weeks following 5.5 months of renovation and one of us also works from home. On that note, their customer service is abysmal and may be their biggest problem. They said they realize this and are working to improve it, but that was after we threatened to use our holdback money to hire another HVAC company to finish the job. We will not use AB Comfort again, and would not recommend them.

Company Response

Our company was hired to perform the work at the property during the renovation of the house. (41 Hoyle Ave. Toronto) However, with Martha Stuart's "OPEN CONCEPT" we had experienced another long jurney of invisible ducts with homeowner how to run heating through the house without seeing it. Their general contractor (Carick Home Improvements) who they hired was never on the site, did not help us at all through the homeowners wishes of open concept in million dollar neighborhood. Despite that we had to work over the furniture in the basement (one of our guys pooled the neck over the couch) and guess if we should demolish something or not, homeowner did not have even decency to clean the house to have it ready for main work. Homeowner does not recognize our labour time loss which was over $2,000 for meetings, changes,go back and forth to engineer, no ready walls etc. In addition to the original contract, customer ordered a gas fireplace, gas BBQ line and USED POWER VENTED WATER TANK (which was wrongly hooked up by a plumber who was hired by the builder) - statement by our gas fitter - Stefan (who installed over 1000 of water tanks), customer holds additional appx. $2,000 for the gas fireplace (when we got fed up beeing hostages). Even we pooled out the water tank by builder's request and gave to a customer a credit on already hostage balance for the used $600 hot water tank. So, customer has decided that balance pays to general contractor who arranged a rental tank instead of clearing up the outstanding with ABCOMFORT. Did not even discuss about extra time involved with the chages. Anyways, homeowner's warranty for equipment is OFF by BRYANT and warranty on labour is OFF by ABCOMFORT for using their equipment during construction despite telling the builder and homeowner not to use the brand new furnace for the purpose of construction. Appx. $4,000 outstanding will be settled in court and there is no price and no money that ABCOMFORT will tease anybody for their spoiled wishes especially when we are being held hostage. I hope that our other 5000 customers come forward and agree on that.
