Kitchen renos

Would not recommend these slackers to my worst enemy , had a simple kitchen renovation job move a few outlets for new refrigerator and microwave location as well as move the natural gas line 2 feet from existing corner. They started at 10 am were done and gone by 1:30pm I was billed 75$ dollars an hour for labour at 11 hours !!!!!!! they removed some dry wall as well as done ceiling panels and weren't even bothered to refasten them in place was charged 260$ for materials that consisted on 2 flex gas line and 2 power outlets what a nice mark up do not used Brody's mechanical my wife ended up finishing the job by reinstallng the dry wall and ceiling panels removed to top it off we found 4 or 5 doodle pages at a smoking table in the back room obviously sitting on the job doodleing on my dime

New HVAC system

Terrible experience since install date and no communication from company since the end of June and none of my issues have been addressed since the salesman agreed to make it ALL rightl. I should also mention that I have yet to receive even a simple apology from any staff at Brody's. Since this experience my friend told me he never pays a company in full until 30 days after install for this exact sort of issue. A company will be more likely to make issues right if they haven't received full payment. I'll remember that for next time. It's worth mentioning that Brody's has not offered me any compensation for my terrible experience either.

My system was installed on a rainy day. The apprentice worked at my home without the journeyman for over an hour making mistakes. He wore his muddy work boots in my home and left chunks of mud and wet on my floors and carpet. He wasn't doing ANY of the things the salesman assured me would definitely be done outside which included levelling the unit and accommodating the porch railing that needed to be put back on. I guess when you hire Brody's it's the customers job to try to ensure the apprentice does what the salesman said would be done. I had the railing removed to help the installers but it was very obvious by the holes in my ground and bolts on the step that a railing needed to be put back in place. More drill holes need to be made at the front of my house beside my front entrance to move the box whenever Brody's decides to stand behind the work they do. I guess Brody's doesn't care how many times they drill into a customer's brick to get it right since it's not their house. Should have been done right the first time by an employee that could problem solve without supervision. They DID NOT send a capable apprentice that took pride in his appearance or work. I supplied the levelling stone because the apprentice didn't have the means to level the outside unit properly....not even a shovel or stone. I also communicated after installation that 2 vents on my second floor weren't blowing any air at all and I'm still waiting for them to correct this during the hottest months of the year when we need it to be functioning properly. I guess they are too busy with the new installs that keep them making money.

The thermostat was installed poorly and holes were visible where the old one was. Brody's promised to supply a plate to cover the hole and properly mount it with anchors which should have been done by the apprentice originally but he didn't bother to. I would definitely NOT recommend this company because it seems once payment is made in full they don't value or care about any customer concerns. It's been almost 3 weeks since I heard from anybody at Brody's which is unacceptable!!!!.

The sales man offered me an appointment on June 29th at 4pm to come out to start making the situation right and showed up a day early on his own schedule. I should have told him to come back at our scheduled appointment time but I invited him in because I want my issues resolved which in turn caused my child to be late for a prior commitment. Regardless, it's very unprofessional on so many levels. It was a long weekend so perhaps the sales guy didn't want to come on the Friday before a long weekend. Why schedule appointments if you don't adhere to them or respect the customer's time?

I attempted to speak with the owner of the company to get my issues dealt with and he never called me back as I was told he would by one of their office staff. Instead, the salesman called and he still hasn't followed through on any of my issues and I'm still waiting to get my install completed and working properly. It's not looking very promising.

When the apprentice arrived alone to work at my home in the morning he was very unprofessional. I apologized to him for the rainy weather for my install date and his response to me was 'it's never a good day for this'. That sort of response didn't sit well with me and it has been downhill from there. Nothing since has made me happy about choosing this company. They have received their almost $9000 from me and that's all that matters to Brody's based on their actions since my June 23rd install date. It is now July 17th and not one issue has been rectified. Correcting their mistakes and apologizing to customers is obviously something very difficult for this company. I recommend choosing a company that values their customers from beginning to end. I have 10 years parts and labour on a unit from a company that treated me like I don't matter once the money was in their account. If there is anyway to utilize a different company that also sells York moving forward I will definitely do that. Steer clear!

Furnace and AC cleaning

I recently did a renovation in my home and Brody's Mechanical came and cleaned my furnace and AC. They were reasonably priced and very efficient and friendly. I later followed up for service in the fall and I was advised that an additional service call was not neccessary at this time, I could wait. I really appreciated this as a single mom on one income, every penny counts. I would recommend these guys to anyone.
