We live in a modest 50 years old bungalow for 16 years. Because of the house structure and poor insulation, the heat distribution was not even through out the house. We thought by redoing the stucco wall with EIF’s (in 2010) and upgrading the attic insulation to 15 inches (in 2012) will be either energy saving as well as maintaining the temperature even in the whole house.. On the contrary that makes the house even stuffier. So may be my HVAC system has problem.. I look up and sourcing for changing my old air conditioner or plus furnace. From the internet and papers I called 3 company, one sales person just gave me the price of both air con./furnace, the other one only interested to quote me the expensive types (meaning to solve my problem), only Cy from Spring Home Heating and Cooling gave me a breakdown of options and brought in George the installation and service manager to look at my duct work. He recommended to extend 2 pipes from the furnace in the basement to my bedroom where only has a return using as an outlet, also suggested to install a HRV (heat recovery ventilator) which will bring in fresh air from outside and exchange stale air from inside. My husband and I bought the idea deep down we know this is the solution to our problem, also it is an investment to our health. Energy saving is good in a way but if the house is too insulated, condensation and mould growing can be hazardous.
The job of replacing old units of air conditioner, furnace, installing HVR and adding two pipes was finished in one day by 4 technicians. George even came back several times to sort out some issues on the air ducts until we are satisfied. May be it is too soon to justify the difference, but at least when we come home we don’t feel suffocated to open doors and windows which in a way is loosing energy. The temperature of the house is faster to reach the attained degree. We are very pleased with their job ethics, George once replied in his email saying “I understand that the installation is one day work for us, but the system will be there 20 years for u. That's why the customer satisfaction is the most important for us”. If there is scale over 10, we will give 11. Keep up the good job.

George explained and compared different models of A/C and furnace in details and patiently. Workers came on time and worked hard and professionally, and were able to answer all kind of questions . A/C and furnace are high efficient and quite. This summer is better with Lennox at Home. I believe I made right decision to have Springhome to take care of A/C and furnace.

We had Lennox Air Conditioner installed by Spring Home in May 2012. Before we made the purchase decision, we did a lot of research online and contacted different companies for quote. When George showed up at our house for evaluation, we realiezed immediately that he was very profossional in heating and cooling. He listened to our specific needs patitently and gave us valuable advice and suggestion. He even helped identify and fix the issues of our existing humidifying system installed by other company. The installers did excellent job as well. Subsequently George followed up with us to make sure that everything was OK. I planned to replace my mid-efficiency boiler last year because of the rebate. Called a few contractors, only George from Spring Home told me that my boiler is only a few years old and still in good condition. The saving could not cover the replacement cost at all because high efficiency boiler is very expensive. He didn’t try to sell me something that I didn’t need. At that time, I already decided that I would hire him if I need heating/cooling service in the future. I turned on my air conditioner this March in the first hot wave, and found that my 20 years old air conditioner didn’t work. I called Spring Home. George came to my house the same day. We were in the process of replacing our 20 plus year furnace and A/C and were requesting quotes. We meet Cy at the Toronto home show and explained our situation. Cy asked questions and made some suggestion. We liked what he had to say and requested an estimate.
Cy inspected the old furnace and gave us a very reasonable quote which we accepted. Two technicians from Spring Home arrive on the installing day ( I have to take time off work to be home).
The technicians removed their boots whenever they entered or left to house. The covered their walking area with a cloth – tarp to protect my floors. I was informed what would happen t every step of the installation.
In the end, they did an excellent job. Their work was neat and tidy and they cleaned up after the job was done and took away all the old equipment.
The next day I received a call from Cy to make sure the work was completed to my satisfaction.

We recently (April 2012) had Spring Home Heating & Cooling supply and install 2 Mtsubishi ductless a/c unitss in our 2 story home. The pre-sale experience (recommendations, information and quotation) was extremely helpful and competitive. The installation team was prompt (imagine a contractor who actually shows up exactly when they saay they will!), professional and efficient. Beyond their promptness, they fully explained exactly how the job would proceed (answering my questions and addressing my concerns directly and knowledgeably), and then completing the installation within 1 day (even while having to coordinate with a second contractor who was doing some required masonary work). They followed up a day later to ensure we were satisfied and when a few MINOR adjustments were required they were done promptly and completely.
