EV Charger Install

This was my 2nd or 3rd time using RLC. Contacted him on a Saturday evening hoping to hear back on Monday; he e-mailed back saying he could be at my place to spec the job in an hour! He was always very responsive by both text & email.

Installation of my EV charger was more complicated than most due to 3 factors:
1) Needed to add a new sub-panel
2) No easy path from panel to garage, so had to do some trenching underneath interlock stones
3) ESA inspection on all of the above (so I could get my rebate!)

Ralph did a great job with this large task that took he & his assistant from Dawn till Dusk, and followed-up multiple times afterward to make sure everything was ok & that the ESA inspection got processed.

New outlet installation

Ralph responded promptly to my phone call and arrived at the house on time as scheduled.
Found a preexisting wire behind the wall on the first try and installed the outlet and adjusted the breakers for the appropriate voltage.
He was neat and tidy and there was a minimum of disruption and mess.
The cost was extremely reasonable for the work done.
Highly recommended.

Installation of Light fixtures

Ralph and Tony were a great team!. We required a new light fixture for our Cantina and four additional pot lights for our kitchen. Ralph gave us a quote for the work to be done which we accepted. The day that the work was done both gentlemen showed up on time. Ralph and Tony were able to install all of the lights without damaging any drywall (an amazing feat considering our house was built in 1952). My wife and I were extremely pleased that they were able to install the kitchen pot lights without damaging any drywall as it had recently been renovated by the reality show Love It or List It. They also went above and beyond the original quote by hooking back up an existing outlet and light that had been disconnected by the Love It or List It electrician (who did very poor work) and inspecting the panel and informing us that it was not overloaded as I had originally thought. While Ralph was installing the light in our Cantina, Tony inspected all of the breakers and wiring around the panel ensuring that there were no loose connections. We have and will continue to recommend RLC Electric to friends and family and when we continue with additional renovations on our house, will definitely have them back to re-wire our second floor.

Pot lights, under-cabinet lights, installation of new light fixture

I needed pot lights and under-cabinet lighting installed in my kitchen, as well as a new dining room fixture installed. I appreciated that out of 4 electricians I contacted, Ralph was the only one who came over to the house in person to provide an estimate. Ralph found the most efficient way to wire the under-cabinet lighting without having to break into any of the backsplash tiling. He and his crew completed the work over 2 days. They were very knowledgeable, always prompt, detailed and tidy. I would recommend Ralph for his expertise!

Small electrical problem with a light fixture caused by a bad switch

I had a light fixture that wouldn't turn on. I tested the bulb and it was not bad. I took the light down myself and tested it with a multimeter. It was working. I was able to confirm by myself that the wire on the ceiling has stopped supplying power for some reason. That's about how far I was able to diagnose this myself with my limited knowledge. I gave Ralph a call and he came on the same night that I called. Performed the job quickly and carefully. I am satisfied.

Repair Outlet & Install/Relocate Light Fixtures

I spent a lot of time on Homestars, looking through reviews for electrical companies. I called RLC Electric after finding many good reviews for smaller electrical jobs. I called and set up an appointment for the following week. Ralph confirmed the appointment a couple of days before the scheduled appointment.

I had an outlet repaired, and a crystal chandelier installed in the dining room. The original chain fixture from the dining room was moved upstairs to a room with a high ceiling. The chandelier had some mounting parts missing and the wires were a bit short (due to whoever installed/removed it in the past two moves). I had no idea about these problems, until Ralph and Frank were preparing the chandelier for installation. Luckily, spare parts were in stock in their truck, so the installation went ahead as planned.

RLC does not re-wire chandeliers, they only install. If a chandelier has been through a few moves and wires have been cut short for whatever reason, be sure to have it re-wired at a lighting shop beforehand, to avoid any installation problems!

Ralph and Frank were on time, courteous and professional. They brought in a clean drop sheet to cover the carpet before starting the work. They offered to clean up, hang the crystals and move the table. I had to finish cleaning the crystals and get some replacements, so I declined.

I had this work done for my parents (their house). I am happy with how everything turned out, especially with the chandelier in the dining room.
I will call RLC Electric for any future electrical work.
