Dim lighting switch was installed incorrectly which shorted the wiring to two other rooms. Despite all attempts to rewire and repower, I still could not get electrical power in the three rooms. I called RLC Electric and Ralph came to my residence the next day. He solved the problem immediately, he rewired the switch and also fixed my door bell which needed a a new transformer. Great guy, professional, friendly, and expert in his field.

We recently had our house sided, and before the new facing went on, we had Ralph in to do wire up the exterior lights, path lights, a new doorbell, and do some long overdue correction of electrical malfeasance by previous owners. (We're talking a detached garage powered by indoor wiring running through a hole in a metal window frame and underground without a conduit, and a handful of similar nightmares). Ralph and his crew (up to 5 guys at one point) descended on the place and put in a lot of hard work...second shifts for most of them...to clean it up. It was all inspected by the ESA, who commented on how clean the work was. Throughout the work, his knowledge and experience were apparent...he clearly knows the electrical code cold, yet is still not afraid to read the directions when installing unfamiliar fixtures. He was also respectful of our house and communicated ongoing progress and challenges proactively.

This actually the second time I've used Ralph's services...he also did a job about the same size to clean up the most dangerous electrical problems highlighted by the home inspector when we first moved into the house about 6 years ago. Experience was equally positive that time.

Ralph provided a quick and detailed estimate for us, and explained all the issues that needed to be addressed in order to replace all the knob & tube wiring in our 1933 house, as well as fix the wiring errors that had been conducted when the house was somewhat renovated prior to our purchase. We had in fact conducted a Knob & Tube audit of the house, which ended up being worthless, as Ralph and his crew reviewed ALL the wiring in the house, correcting it and bringing it up to code. He was extremely flexible and responsive and was able to get the complete job done on the long weekend that we were away. His estimate was significantly less than the others that we received, and he it was done in far less time as well. Ralph took care of the work permit and the ESA inspection, which made things easier for us. He is thorough and extremely professional. He explained options to us and made us aware of the building codes current and to come, to ensure that our wiring would be in compliance. He is extremely conscientious and honest in his work and showed us some damage that had happened during the wiring and what he had done to repair the damage. He was a pleasure to deal with and I will recommend him highly for any future work.

Much like the other posters here, we had a great renovation experience with RLC. We first contacted Ralph in early July 07. He came to our home to provide a work estimate 45 minutes after hanging up the phone - on Canada Day no less! Given the scope of the work required we were expecting the project to span many days. Ralph dealt with the coordination of Toronto Hydro and ESA quickly and professionally and managed to complete the project within the space of a day with his colleague Ramon. The work easily passed ESA inspection. Highly professional, excellent rates - we can't wait to have him back later this month for more electrical work... thanks Ralph!

Ralph did our basement electrical including bathroom, kitchen, laundry and family room. He took the care to explain the why's and how's of everything we needed. Excellent service! Price was very competitive and work was on time, clean and professional.

Ralph and his team worked tirelessly until the job was completed to perfection. The team was polite and very respectful. Ralph rewired our entire 1930s bungalow, installing new cables, switches, outlets, lights, TV and satellite cables, speaker wires, timers, and a bathroom fan. His work is very professional: he took great care in planning our project (he spent almost 3 hours in our house before he gave us a very detailed list of tasks and a reasonable price quote!), worked extremely hard to meet the deadline set by our insurance company for replacing the knob & tube wiring in our house, knows the electrical code very well and passed the ESA inspection with high-flying colours. Ralph is a specialist in rewiring old houses: he removed all old wires and installed the new wires with very little damage to our walls and ceilings. He also gave us very good advice on how to modernize the electrical system in our house. We are very happy with the result.
