Perfect service! We just moved into our new home and Tom replaced all three locks in one short visit. Very nice guy, he loved our dogs too. We'd definitely recommend Tom to family and friends!

We just purchased our first home and as such, required all locks to be changed. There is only one person to call for such a task, and that is Tom Baillie.

My family had used Tom in the past for work at our other properties. His work is efficient, well priced, but most importantly, of the highest quality. Tom fixed all problems that were present with the locks (i.e., no dead-bolt on the garage entry).

Tom was extremely accommodating with respect to availability, ensuring myself as a client was well taken care of.

Tom presents himself as a kind, patient well meaning fellow. After he finished the job he sent me the invoice. The amount surprised me so I asked for a breakdown of the costs. We exchanged about three emails where I only asked for clarification. I paid him in full within two weeks after receiving the invoice. When I followed up with an email about possibly needing more work he shot back: "I have no desire to do any more professional work for you." I was very surprised and offended. I asked for an explanation but have yet to receive any. I'm sure the quality of Tom's work is good given all the great reviews. I can't explain why he would treat a customer this way.

WOW!! Fast forward 8 months and the front door doesn't work. I called Tom and he came by, walked in the house and said, "I remember you, you're the one who gave me a 4 (now 0!) on Homestars" then he saluted to me and said, "good bye" then turned around and walked to his car. He then told me to "call someone who cares." I did...and they looked at the Tom's materials and work and said it was sub-par at best. Put that together with his attitude, and that equals 0 on Homestars!

We moved into our house and needed the locks re-keyed. Tom was very accommodating of our schedule and even came on a Sunday for non-emergency work. I also wanted a keypad lock on the garage, and Tom was able to install one that matched our current locks so all locks have the same key. Excellent, friendly, efficient. Oh, incidentally Tom tells me he used to be a paramedic (in my mind increases trustworthiness). The one minor bit of damage done to the garage door is not noticeable, and Tom will come back when the weather warms up to repair it for us.

Tom Baillie's service is outstanding. We found him through this site and called him to change the locks on a house we just purchased in Riverdale. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and trustworthy. He arrived on time and was efficient and professional. Tom provided clear information about safety measures without pressuring a sale. But I think what really stands out is his passion for what he does, including serving and helping others. That's perhaps an unusual thing to say about a locksmith, but it's true for Tom. He's first-rate and we plan to use him for other jobs, as well as to recommend him to others.

He listened attentively to my concerns and requirements and, so that I could make informed decisions, he then explained all the possible options, pricing and timing required before proceeding with the work. Tom installed two high quality deadbolt locks, which he guarantees indefinitely, and made as many copies of the keys as I needed. Thanks Tom!

My front door was split pretty badly at the lock, and barely closed. Tom came by the next morning, put a plate on the door to reinforce it and even altered the new (high quality) deadbolt to accept the same key that my family has been using for years. Highly recommended.

Tom came on time, was very friendly, and got the job done quickly at a reasonable price. What more can you ask for? I would definitely recommend Tom, and will be calling him in the future for any other needs that arise.
