A++ experience from start to finish! Rick is very knowledgeable and a true professional and had our new floor installed in no time. His crew (Atila and Tomas) were organized, tidy and worked tirelessly to finish the job and minimize on any interruptions. Everything about McLaughlin floors is first rate. Rick even installed a matching trim along our kitchen cabinetry, which we never had before to make for a more finished look. We HIGHLY recommend McLaughlin Flooring to anyone considering them.

We hired Rick and his crew to install engineered-wood flooring in our living/dining room area and two bedrooms. They arrived on time as arranged and were very polite and professional.
They removed old carpeting in no time, and firmly screwed down the exisiting sub-floor, then checked for any squeaks.
The engineered-wood was laid within two days and we are extremely satisfied with the new floor. It is solid and there are no squeaks as we walk across it.
We have no hestiation in recomending them, and will ceratinly consider hiring them again for future projects!

Rick and his crew came highly recommended by neighbours and we were impressed at the quality of installation at their house.
For our project, they removed the old hardwood on the entire ground floor. They screwed down the existing subfloor and installed new plywood sheathing before installing the new hardwood, thus eliminating any preexisting squeaks.

We wanted to replace with laminate flooring and Rick and his crew helped us remove (and keep) our carpets, added extra floor reinforcements, and installed our desired laminate flooring with trims. Our home looks so much nicer now with the laminate floor colour matching exactly with our stairs. Rick and his crew were very professional. They went the extra mile to stay late and finish the project in just 2 days. On top of that, he gave me great advice on how to improve the finish on our stairs as our home was newly built. I will be recommending Rick to friends and family that are looking to improve/replace their floors in the future. Thank you once again!

This review is long overdue, but I had to find the time to share me and my familys sentiments.

My elderly disabled parents were looking to get rid of all the carpet upstairs and the change the staircase as well (which also had a carpet liner), in preparation to sell the house. After sifting through a few companies, our final consult took place with Rick from McLaughlin Flooring and his associate Max. My father (who is incredibly hard to please) was floored (no pun intended) by their professionalism, attentional to detail and overall knowledge. After that initial meeting, we quickly confirmed that we wanted to book them for our project as soon as possible. Max executed the staircase of our dreams and we are beyond pleased. He was extremely professional, tidied up every day, constantly kept us in the loop, took my parents disabilities into consideration, kind hearted and took absolute pride in his work. I could go on and on, but it was truly a pleasure (which most people wouldnt use to describe renovations). We were actually sad to see him go. Thomas and Attila also executed a great deal of work, removing all the carpet, moving the furniture, installing the new flooring and everything else in between. They were a great group of guys and we would absolutely recommend them to any and everyone. They may have done too good of a job because after they nearly completed upstairs, my parents decided that same week to have the downstairs done as well. They worked incredibly fast, with attention to detail and efficiency. Now my parents dont want to sell the house! Rick and his team were the first to respond with a phone call to my HomeStars inquiry. They were thoroughly professional throughout the quoting process, carpet removal and installation of engineered hardwood on the second floor of our home.

They moved heavy furniture back into place after the work was complete (after asking us where we would like each piece placed) and swept the floor before they left at the end of the job.

The whole project took two weeks from my initial post on HomeStars to completion of the flooring installation.

Rick and his team did a excellent and efficient job of changing my carpeted floors over to hardwood. Rick helped sourced the Maple hardwood and the colour that I wanted, including sourcing the design of baseboards I needed to match with the rest of my house. I plan to use this company again in the future.

Rick and his team did an incredible job of completing this job. Rick came to the house with all sorts of samples and ideas for installation, carefully and patiently walked us through the installation process and then came on time and delivered the work on budget. The results are incredible, a full new modern hickory floor in our 100 year old Victorian house. I highly recommend using Rick and would use him and his team again.

We had originally picked flooring we liked but found out the thickness wouldn't work. Rick went and sourced several samples and brought them to our home for us to decide. He was able to complete our home in three days, but quality was not compromised.
