My neighbour recently had new floors installed by McLaughlin Flooring. I was very impressed with the end result that I contacted Rick to get a quote to do mine. Rick came out very quickly and provided what I felt was a very reasonable estimate. He explained everything that would be done in detail, answered all of my questions and we scheduled a date for the work to begin. The tear out of the old carpet/laminate floor went very quickly. They moved all of my heavy furniture and took great care in covering it all. His team, Attila and Tamas did a fantastic job installing the new flooring, baseboard and shoe mould. They even helped me move heavy boxes to the garage which they didn't need to do. They arrived promptly at the time they told me they would be here each day, worked the entire day and cleaned up every day before leaving. Rick checked on their progress often and the job was finished on time. I highly recommend McLaughlin Flooring and have already referred them to 3 people. I also needed a new staircase. Rick referred me to Max who he works with. I am in love with my new stairs. I will write a separate review for Max under Nord-Ost Railings. Thanks Rick and team for a wonderful experience.

Rick and his team installed engineered hardwood on my parent's main and upper floors. They did a tremendous job. They are true professionals and my parents are really happy with the work they did. They also completed the job in the allotted time my parents were told. Rick is very responsive and knowledgeable about flooring and will answer any questions. His team are polite and addressed any issues or concerns my parents had. Rick also recommended Max refinish my parent's stairway, which they did. I would highly recommend Max refinish anyone's stairway. The work Max did on the stairway is immaculate. Max puts forth effort, care, special attention to detail and exemplifies a high level of professionalism. My parents are very happy with their stairway as a result. Overall, I would highly recommend Rick to install floors and Max to refinish stairs as they both do exceptional work.

I was a bit overwhelmed by all that needed to be done inside this older house that I had just purchased. I had initially just wanted the upstairs bedroom and hallway flooring changed (one room was carpet and the others were older flooring). My budget was limited and I was getting worried from the pricings a few contractors had given me. I also had a basement floor that was "squishy" when stepping on parts of it. When I asked the other contractors, they said it was due to the foundation of my basement...I was a bit skeptical about what they said but they all said the same thing.

As soon as I met Rick and spoke with him in person, I felt a sense of calmness and trust immediately. Rick and his crew were incredibly professional, efficient and polite. There was no nonsense or upselling with Rick. As soon as he stepped on my basement floor, he knew that the previous owners had either laid the flooring directly over a carpet or carpet subfloor. Sure enough, Rick was right! The quality of Rick's materials were fantastic, the job was done beautifully, and most of all, his pricings were so incredibly fair that I was able to also change the flooring of my living room to fit within my tight budget.

His crew was great- the tear out of the old carpet/tiles went smoothly and they prepared the subfloor for the installation. The flooring guys were prompt each morning, and tidied up each evening. Their work was beautiful.

We called in to get a quote for flooring change on the entire ground level and for a room upstairs. They were very prompt and contacted us the same day and came by the next day day. Rick provided us clear explanations, quotes with a clear break up and answered all our queries. They took an overall of 2.5 days to complete all the work. They got good quality hardwood from their supplier (included in the cost) , moved all the furniture, installed Hardwood. If you are looking to work with someone who communicates well, does an excellent job, good professional, I recommend you hire Rick and team. PS : He is so passionate about flooring, you will see it in his eyes and his work :)

RICK and his team did an EXCELLENT JOB on the industrial hardwood installation in my house. I had two levels and a basement level done. His installers are professional and did a precise job in all areas of the house. Rick explains the process as it goes along and the house is kept really tidy during the install. Rick has a STAIR GUY named MAX and if you need stairs done get BOTH of these guys. Trust me, Rick is the professional you should go to for WOOD FLOORING!

Rick and his team did an amazing job while doing hardwood flooring installation in our house (upper level). Job involved removal of carpet all the way to the installation of engineered hardwood. The way Rick managed to get an exact match to our existing hardwood floor on the stairs was outstanding. He got various samples and wanted himself to be convinced with the match before even showing that to us. When it came to the actual work, flawless job done in 2 days. They cleared the entire dust and ensured there is no dust left behind. We have recommended Rick within our family and even they are impressed with the job. Great work Rick!

Called in contractor to do hardwood on whole second floor, they removed carpet, screwed down the floor, moved all the furniture, installed Hardwood and quarter round
Very punctual, said they would be their at 8:00 am and were they all 3 days on time were very clean and profession

Rick and his team were very professional. From the first meeting Rick explained how the job would go, suggested preparations, and presented some quality floor choices and underlayment that met the condo board approval. The floors and quarter round were installed in the timeframe specified. The floors are beautiful and the precision around door jams is perfect. All debris was removed as the team cleaned as they went. Everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Rick's team for your flooring needs, and I will use them again in future.
