I can't speak highly enough about the team at Downtown Flooring. We had a disastrous experience with another flooring company who did such a terrible work that they were fired mid-job. I am so glad that I called Downtown Flooring they have restored my faith in the contracting world. Eric took the time to explain all my options, reassure me that my house would be put back in order, and recommended flooring solutions that would work in my home. He came back a few days later with many hardwood samples for me to choose from so I could see a selection of wood grains and finishes in the space it would be installed and to match my selection to my budget. The project started exactly on time actually the installer Andy showed up a half hour early! Andy is such a hard-working perfectionist. He cleaned as he worked. Even though he ripped up old flooring and sub-floor, there was minimal dust. All the old flooring went straight into his truck for disposal. Andy shimmed and sanded the subfloors to level them, and even got rid of a height transition between the kitchen and the dining room. Before he nailed down any flooring, he took the time to go through the wood and lay out nice patterns and varieties in the wood. He made some great recommendations to make the air return and ventilation system integrate better with the new floor. All the finishes (baseboards and quarter round) were installed to perfection. I am so happy with my new floor. This project was on time and on budget. If you love your house and care about quality of work, professionalism and expertise, then Downtown Flooring is the right company for you.

Eric was professional and great to deal with. The installation crew did an amazing job and were perfectionists. High quality vinyl flooring in basement and staircase with landing. The crew was very pleasant to deal with and would highly recommend them.

Eric was great to deal with, was prompt and answered all of our questions. Helped with any documentation needed for our condo board as well. Andy did the installation and was great as well. We are so happy with the overall outcome and would 100% recommend to anyone.

How lucky for the people that gave this company a 10/10. I was not as fortunate. First used this company about 6 years ago, no problem, then hired them about 18 months ago to lay hardwood and carpet throughout our home. Our floors are starting to creak likely due to the fact the subfloor was uneven I've been told. The crew was sloppy and in a hurry to get the job done and out of there. A couple of boards had chips in them, cutting around vents not done properly so the covers did not fit on some. Instead of staggering the dark and lighter pieces they just slapped down 3 or 4 of the same color all together which is very noticeable. They cut the wood inside the home, we have a front porch, back deck and garage this could have been done in, just pure laziness. This was not a home under construction,the home was a mess my painters had to clean the walls before they could paint which was an additional cost to me. They pulled my fridge out to lay floor and pulled the hose out from my water dispenser which cause water to leak in the basement, thankfully my handyman was down there and alerted them right away. They hired someone to install metal posts on my railings, then the carpet installer hammers the paint off some of the posts during installation and when I brought this to Steve's attention he basically told me he wasn't responsible for that. He never went to the house to inspect the finished job but was at my home in a flash to collect his money. Now with the new issue of the floors starting to creak after less than 2 years I really felt I needed to write this review.

Did some research, called Karesz at Downtown, very responsive. Very good to work with, knowledgeable, polite. We chose a beautiful hardwood floor, in a herringbone pattern. Was a little nervous as this is tricky to install. Long story short, Karesz and crew did an amazing job, finished ahead of schedule. The floors are gorgeous - I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Very professional crew, they did a great job in the floor installation of all bedrooms in my house . Tidy work, no mess, clean job, attention to detail. Highly recommended.
