Was disappointed in this company. Service was generally uncommunicative much more could have been done on their end to ensure customer satisfaction and answer questions with more than the bare minimum answer.

Staining on existing floors was uneven. Workmen used product other than one selected, much to the consternation of neighbours who had to deal with the smell.

Installation of new product required follow-up visits to fix problems. Subfloor was no properly mended before installation. They did come and fix one problem, but they should have done it right to begin with.

Also did damage to brand new drywall by attaching tuck tape to it.

Company also did not offer quarter-round to match the floors only white quarter-round offered. Ended up having to do it ourselves.

Special mop purchased from company to clean the new floors broke upon first use.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Downtown Flooring for the job well done. The Torlys Summit Beech Wenge engineered hardwood installed at my place looks stunning. My friends who have seen it are amazed how beautiful the new floor is.

I'm glad doing business with downtown flooring and would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to my friends. Their full installation/service (removing existing carpet, moving furniture, etc.) made it a lot easier for me to make this home project a reality. Thanks to their installer who worked very hard and very meticulous, he's just so good! He completed the installation (from foyer, living/dining room, den, and bedroom) in just 2 days.

Downtown Flooring is a custom shop who focus only on flooring jobs - and have been in business many years. As expected they were knowledgeable and able to help us select an appropriate product. Quality of installation, speed, and cleanup were all up to par. The price felt on the high side but everyone else we've talked to told us it's about right. There was extra work to repair the subfloor (which we found out about after all the carpet was ripped out) - we authorized this and had been warned this might be the case (very old Victorian home). Due to the unevenness of the rooms they had extra work to do and it was handled expertly. Finally - I received a call from Stephan regarding some sheets of plywood the installers had left behind. He apologized and arranged for pickup the next day.

Exellent service from Stephan. With only a few days notice, he was able to come up with the carpet we wanted (great in-home service). The installers arrived on time, were friendly and well-mannered with a "nothing is too much trouble attitude". Great installation that was tricky (3 closets to get into, oddly shaped room). They took all the debris away and even offered to vacuum!! I will be going back when it's time to do the other rooms.

I looked for the flooring at a number of places, the prices were better. The selection was good. The service however was excellent, we felt that they tried very hard to get the flooring to us at the time we needed to have it and that they cared. They even came to inspect the work that was done on the subfloor becuase we were concerned that it was inadequate. The installation was very good and we lov the floor. Marmoleum rocks.
