I hired Downtown Flooring to install walnut engineered wood in my condo and they did a beautiful job--Voytek the person who did the installation did a great job--he even returned to do a repair that was caused by another tradesperson. I was very impressed with the overall work that was completed.

Needed new flooring in den to match the rest of the place and Downtown Flooring did a great job. The match is almost perfect and sales rep Gurp Dhamrait was very helpful and accommodating. The intallers were very professional and respectful - and they did excellent work!

We were finally ready to remove the ugly carpeting on the stairs and 2nd floor and replace it with wooden floors. We had been saving for this project for longer than we had hoped.

I researched many companies, took quotations from four and chose Downtown Flooring Company. I had a positive reference from a neighbour about this company which is why I chose to receive a quotation from them. I had never heard of them before.

Jack arrived as scheduled to do the estimate. All communication with Jack was timely, efficient and clear. Samples were left as requested and advice provided as needed. My sense that the work would start and end on time was one of the main considerations along with skill level although the price was a consideration in our choice. For these reasons, my husband and I contracted to have our work done with Downtown Flooring.

The work began on time and ended slightly before schedule. The team that removed the carpeting, etc. did an excellent job of clean-up. This team who installed the wood flooring was also personal, professional and skillful. I have no complaints whatsoever about the installation of the wood flooring. It looks terrific. 10/10

The worker who installed the carpet to the third floor also arrived on time, completed the work professionally and was easy to have in the house.

The workers who installed the wood stairs from the first floor also arrived on time, completed the work as scheduled and finished on time. I did have two small issues with the quality of the work. Jack immediately ensured that this work was redone although it did take a bit of scheduling time with the worker before that was done.

The pricing they gave us was in the middle of the group we took estimates from and, I believe, was fair. Jack lowered the estimate when it turned out that our sub-floor was in excellent condition and less work was required than expected for his company.

I found Jack to be organized and to be a man of his word.

I give this company 9 out 10 and would recommend them as reliable, professional and skilful.

The best quote we received after approaching 3 other carpet companies. We received better carpet and better service/value overall. They were very accomodating, courteous and did their job quickly. Perfect install and we are very happy with our purchase. This company has great communication and I would highly recommend Downtown Flooring to anyone of my family or friends.

The guys from Downtown did a great job especially in the ares of where the seams meet and the stair risers are carpetted. Highly recommend them they installed the underpad and capet and it is beautiful and at a reasonable price too

I contacted Downtown Flooring after checking with Homestars.com to decide on an installer to replace broadloom with engineered hardwood in my downtown condo. Jack Deline, the salesperson, was excellent and answered all of my questions very honestly. I was very impressed with his professionalism and decided that I should do this contract with Downtown Flooring. I had received another quote from a competitor but I believed that Downtown Flooring would be my best choice and I was certainly not disappointed. The installer, Voytek, did an excellent job and he was extremely efficient, cleaned everything perfectly, matched the walnut wood in an artistic manner. Walnut has many different colour variations and Voytek did a very fine job matching the light to dark variations. I was extremely happy with the completed project. I will recommend Downtown Flooring to any of my family and friends who are doing a similar project.

We had hardwood floors and stairs throughout done as well as carpeting, and very nice laminate in the basement. There product is excellent and they were there on time when they said they'd be there. We had one small problem and they came immediately to fix it. We were very happy with the price given we did all that hardwood and two full rooms of wall to wall.

I had initially gone to Downtown Flooring to determine the replacement value of our floor after a February flood. After we finally gave up on the contractor assigned by the buildings insurance company to conduct repairs we went back to Downtown Flooring and asked them to do our floors. Even before we knew we'd be using them they were helpful. Way more helpful then the jokers we were dealing with.

When we finally gave them the go ahead to do the floor they finished it in a day. We couldn't move our stuff out of our unit so it was all moved to one side. We had planned to move our furniture at night so they could complete the other side of our unit the following day, but the contractors simple moved all our stuff for us and finished in a day (not that I would expect they do this for everyone, but it was such a nice gesture). So after 4 months of dealing with stupid insurance companies, Downtown Flooring finally swooped in an solved our problem.

They did a great job on the floor, they had great contractors working in our place and overall everyone we dealt with was very professional and helpful.

One thing to note, they will not deal with insurance companies. The reason being they have lost money on unpaid jobs due to defaulting insurance companies. I can't say I blame them for that. I'd still recommend them to a friend in a heartbeat.

We were quite disappointed with Downtown Flooring, despite high hopes. They were hired to complete a removal and replacement of carpet in the upstairs of our house. Work was generally shoddy - there was noticeable damage to the baseboards from the installation, a number of unneccessary seams/joints, some household items went missing, and the patterned carpet was installed incorrectly (crooked).
We had a meeting in the spirit of cooperation and gave them the opportunity to address the problem by replacing the areas of concern, but they were not interested in doing it unless we paid extra. Would not use them again or recommend them to anyone.
