Our fireplace is encased in polished, engineered marble tile, and while the colour wasn't terrible, we did want to brighten up the room, while modernizing our space at the same time. I've painted tile before, and it's not for the faint of heart. With that, we called Tom to get the job done right. Tom's an absolute professional, and takes excellent care with his work. He was punctual in his coordination and start/finish times, and did an absolutely perfect job on our fireplace. We'll be bringing Tom, and likely his crew, back to help with updating other parts of our house, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a professional painter.

Simply put, Sean is the man! We had some conceptual drawings of what we wanted in our new mudroom, but needed a skilled cabinet maker to build the final product. Sean quickly measured the space, took our ideas into account, offered some very useful advice, and executed beautifully. He made some great looking cabinets, and a stunning wrap-around walnut bench. We couldn't be happier with the end result - thanks Sean!

I contacted Adrian via Homestars, and was totally impressed with the quality of work and service. Adrian explained my options and helped me come up a solution to run ~60ft of line for our grill. He was punctual and very friendly. HIGHLY recommend Becklumb's to anyone needing an experienced gas fitter.

Contacted Maple based on their Homestars reviews and wasn't disappointed. The team of two arrived promptly and did an absolutely fantastic job, inside and out. They were fast, very outgoing, and I would recommend Maple to anyone looking for this type of work.

Called ACE Electric to install a new plug on our wall and found them to be very courteous and professional. Armin was quick to get the job done and did great work. I'll for sure be calling on him and ACE for future needs.

We brought in Ben and his crew to take down a garage/shed that was very badly in need of repairs. Ben and his team were extremely courteous, professional and thorough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, or contract them again - a fantastic company to work with! Thanks for the great service guys!

We contacted Foam Comfort after having seen their trucks in our neighbourhood, and knowing they're a local business. Our attic insulation needed 'topping up', and we wanted to spray-foam insulate our porch overhang, in an attempt to reduce the heat loss from the second floor. The team at Foam Comfort is incredibly nice to work with and clearly have customer service top of mind. Dan provided extremely valuable advice when it came to opening up our porch overhang, which ultimately led to his team being able to do their job quickly and properly. They worked around our demanding schedule and were tidy and courteous all the way through. Our second floor is now holding heat better than it ever has before, and I suspect we'll see great results when the A/C is on in the summer. I'm very impressed with Foam Comfort, and would recommend them without hesitation.

Alex is a stand-up guy, and goes above and beyond to ensure you're satisfied with the work. We recently hired Toronto Fence to design and build both a fence and a railing for our existing decks. They completed the job VERY quickly, and on budget. Further, due to some awkward spacing issues with our house, they came back and made some minor changes at no additional charge. Alex is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to contact them for future projects.

I've come to rely on David and his team a couple of times over the past few months, as my furnace in my home is getting on in years and I also own a rental property. Each time I've called, he's been extremely responsive and genuinely takes pride in his work. I've found engaging QuickFast to be effortless and I have the greatest confidence in the quality of their work and people. Would definitely call them again and have recommended them to friends/colleagues.

Had these guys in to inspect a 'mystery' pipe that was the suspected source of infrequent basement flooding. While the team was extremely professional, and courtious, they were unable to determine the role of this pipe in our house, and were unable to tell us what might be the cause of the minor floods we experienced during heavy rain. A camera was sent down multiple drains in an attempt to determine the issue. This work ended up costing us ~$270, but unfortunately didn't help the team (or us) understand the problem. The proposal that was written, was to jackhammer a 6ft section of our basement floor to 'inspect' the system and determine what repairs would be needed from that point forward. This would have cost us ~$1700, and would have been mostly exploratory. In getting a second opinion, the problem was IMMEDIATELY identified as being a broken sump pump (~$500 installed). Had I contacted this other company first, I could have saved the $270 we spent on the camera work. I can't believe that a company with this many positive reviews and this much experience failed to inspect (or even ask about) a sump pump, which resides right next to where they were standing. Further, in speaking with a Drain Works representative after initially posting this review, I'm now further convinced in my decision to work with another organization.

Andrea was an esssential part of our renovation process, by helping us choose the colours of our new kitchen, along with the counters and the backsplash. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out and are thrilled with her level of service. When we couldn't find a backsplash we liked, she found some samples that worked and even ended up getting us the tiles at a discount! We've since painted the entire house based on her colour recommendations, and purchased our new sectional from one of her preferred suppliers. The best part about the process is the fact that she was there to help us select the fabric to match our new kitchen/paint, and saved us more on the sectional alone than we've spent on her services overall - truly amazing! I'd highly recommend Andrea to anyone looking for design/colour inspiration. By engaging her first, we saved countless hours and thousands of dollars.
