We are extremely happy with the results and have noticed that the ventilation in the house has improved. Artur and his team treat your roof as if it was their own. We delayed getting our 20 year old roof replaced until we discovered multiple open holes and leaks. All of a sudden we needed an emergency roof repair at the end of the season. Artur and his team came to the rescue. Within 1 week, juggling many bad weather days, they arrived on site and completed a 15 hour task in 9 hours. There was some additional cosmetic work needed which they completed, as promised, one week later (again working around bad weather days).

Optima installed a new patio door and we are very pleased with the door and the installation. During the estimate interview (2 weeks before Christmas) it was implied that the work could possibly be completed in 2-3 weeks. Mid-January came and went without any communication from Optima. We contacted Optima in late January to agree on a February completion date (8 weeks after the estimate). It was disappointing that Optima did not appear to have an order tracking system and that there was no follow-up from Optima over the 8 weeks. Note: A change request was made in late December on the understanding that the factory had not already started building the door.

We are extremely pleased with Red Robin Masonry. For 20+ years the bricks and cement on both sides of the garage door have been falling apart. We asked for 2 Homestars quotes. One quote indicated that they could not match the bricks so the 2 layers of broken bricks would be replaced by 6 inches of cement. Red Robin Masonry provided us with 2 choices of bricks that would not require any changes to the exterior of our house. The before and after images (attached) show how well the new bricks blend in with the old ones. The team worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. You would never know they were on the property.

We contacted EcoComfort to help warm up a bedroom above our garage. We ended up getting more than just a warmer bedroom. Our entire 2nd floor is much warmer than before. And, another bonus, we can expect the upstairs to be cooler in summer too! Within 24 hours we noticed that our furnace was running much less than before (30-40% less), so we hope our heating and cooling costs will reflect that. The EcoComfort team were professional, pro-active, courteous and clean. Offering suggestions on weather-stripping that we could do ourselves, as well as indicating additional services that the EcoComfort team could provide (repair, paint and seal the existing attic hatch). For our house it was feasible to use a window opening to directly access the room with the attic hatch. No need to have the front door wide open on a really cold December day and risk losing a 60 year old family heirloom Christmas cactus plant! As others have commented, we should have done this years ago. We are extremely pleased with the work done by the EcoComfort team.
