We chose Lucy's because of favourable reviews. Our house was empty and needed to be cleaned before the new owners took over. Although the cleaning overall was satisfactory--the carpets in particular were excellent--we find ourselves not as enthusiastic as some other reviewers. We had to clean out the film and residue left over from cleaning the oven. It's understandable the oven has to cool from the clean cycle but had we not returned to the house to do a few things , it would not have been noticed and the new owners would have to contend with it. There also seemed to be a bit of a communication problem--we understood from the general cleaning duo ( both of whom were very pleasant ) that the stairs and the landing leading to the rooms below would probably be handled by the carpet crew who were coming in the afternoon. That part didn't get cleaned at least not very well. We ended up doing it. I suppose we could have called and asked for it to be done but for the hour or so we spent , it didn't seem worth the trouble. Anyway, it was good to have the house done and as I said, the carpets were really great. Axel and his team are friendly and polite and showed up on time.

A few years ago, Sheila's installed blinds and drapes in our house. We were completely satisfied with every aspect; from initial consultation to installation. Naturally we went to Sheila's Window Toppers to get blinds for our new condo. Once again, the same top quality service was given. We really appreciate the attention to detail. We certainly highly recommend Sheila's Window Toppers too anyone--fair price; great products and amazing service.

We called Real Estate Movers because we read favourable ratings in Homestars. Well, they certainly lived up to those ratings. From the very first contact onwards they were very courteous, easy to deal with and very flexible. The movers arrived right on time and began loading almost immediately...and my goodness...they were fast!! They did not slow down at all until all items were unloaded and placed where we wanted them. We feel we received excellent value for the price--The rate was reasonable and competitive. I'd recommend this company to anyone.

Neal has done small jobs for us in the past and we were very satisfied so when it came to a fairly major wiring upgrade, we turned to his company. We needed this done in order to facilitate the sale of our older home which was of the aluminum wiring era. He and Ken arrived on time, worked steadily and effectively. As well as the outlet pig tailing, they found and replaced 2 faulty breakers in the main panel. They also removed an existing dishwasher wiring from a counter outlet and installed a dedicated circuit . We are very pleased with the result and highly recommend the company.

We recently had an alarm system installed by Liberty. Right from the start we were very impressed. Doug Stebner, the representative, was professional, friendly and articulate. He explained the options clearly and made appropriate recommendations to suit our situation. Burns Harris, the installation technician, was very polite and worked efficiently. Burns phoned to say he would be a few minutes late. That was greatly appreciated!!--who besides a company like Liberty gives that kind of customer courtesy anymore! We highly recommend Liberty to anyone wanting a security system of any kind.

We just had bathroom renos completed by Herb and his crew from Versatile Renovations. They arrived when they said they would, worked extremely hard and tidied up each day before leaving. From start to finish they were amazing! All the work was done to a very high standard - the tile work in the main bath is outstanding! We were kept informed as to what was happening every step of the way. We were very impressed with their work ethic, honesty, integrity, attention to detail and pride taken in the work. Herb is definitely a man of his word and master of his craft! We will not hesitate to call on Versatile for any further projects and we highly recommend this company to anyone.

Really glad I found a Better Way Plumbing. Jason and Daryl did a fantastic job of repairing an outside water tap. Previously, a different company was hired to do the job. It was a failure. Jason did the repairs properly and , I might add, for a better price including all parts and labour, than the other company. Jason and Daryl were pleasant and professional. I highly recommend Better Way to anyone whether the job is large or small.
