My kitchen faucet had been leaking for some time so I called Valentin to replace it with a new one that he would supply. The countertop was getting rotten so he installed a metal support plate to secure it. New valves and supply lines were also installed as the old ones were in bad condition. Valentin was right on time and did the job quickly and efficiently. This is the second time I have called Strong Plumbing to do work at my house and would highly recommend them.

My front flagstone steps and walkway had been slowly deteriorating over the last few years, but this past winter was particularly brutal. Some of the flagstone was crumbling into little bits, and there were a few flagstone sections that had completely detached from the underlying cement foundation. I could no longer just patch the damage with cement over the summer months so I decided to call a professional. I noticed that Mace Masonry had a high score on Homestars, so I called them up once the weather had turned warmer. Carl was able to view the situation in a couple of days, and he gave me a range of options. I decided to have the damaged sections removed and replaced. In late March Carl and his workers started - first the damaged sections of flagstone were removed as well as the underlying cement foundation (which was in bad shape as well). On the second day new steps and walkway were formed, concrete poured. The last day was the toughest part of the job - new flagstone was cut to size and relayed over the new walkway and steps. I am very pleased with the overall appearance of my front steps and walkway - the new flagstone is a perfect match with that part of the old flagstone which did not need replacing. More importantly, the walkway-steps are solid and secure - no longer do I use orange pylons to warn pedestrians to watch their step! The worksite was tidied up nicely, and Carl always answered my questions via email or phone in a timely manner - I highly recommend Mace Masonry for any stone - masonry work you might need - I`m glad I called Carl first!!!

The 2nd floor toilet had broken (the handle along with the float mechanism inside the tank) so I called Valentin. We scheduled an appointment quickly. Valentin was prompt and replaced the parts (he had all the necessary parts in his van). The old supply valve was rusty and frozen, so he replaced it with a new one as well. This was the second time I had called on Valentin for plumbing repairs, and he left the job site spotless this time as well. Strong Plumbing is the only plumber I will ever consider calling, and highly recommend Valentin.

This was the 2nd time I called 1-800-gotjunk to get rid of rubbish. The first time was a large clear out of accumulated junk which went quite well, so I called again. We replaced an old wooden fence with a new one, and needed the old one disposed of, along with the rubble from the demolition. Joel and his partner were on time, quick and efficient. The old fence was gone in no time flat, and I was quite happy with this second experience with this company (and definitely will call on them again in the future to help keep my property tidy).

We`ve had Gem update our windows and doors since the early 90`s. --- always a good renovating experience. Today they installed 2 windows, and all looks great! The installers were efficient and left the job site spotless. The windows are a great improvement over the old ones and will make our home more comfortable. Gem is the only window and door company I`ll ever consider using.

My house in Bloor West Village had some plumbing issues, so I decided to try Strong Plumbing as its Homestars rating was a `10`. Valentin responded to my text the same day, and we arranged an appointment for the very next day (a Monday!). He arrived when he said he would, and gave his opinion and very reasonable estimates on the work that he recommended. There were four jobs which he completed: 1) replacing a leaky valve (which was the most difficult as it was in a tricky location in the ceiling), 2) replacing the mechanism inside my ancient toilet tank (the toilet was leaking and wasting water), 3) connecting the waste water discharge from the laundry machine so that it drained directly into the underground pipe (it used to empty into the laundry tub, where it was in constant danger of spilling over; thus no more worries), and 4) replacing a valve which had completely seized up. Overall, Valentin was quite efficient and courteous. He even noticed some small, potential problems (i.e. the bathroom faucet was loose so he tightened it), and made some suggestions as how to avoid these problems from becoming catastrophic. The quality of the work was excellent and very reasonably priced. Whenever I will require plumbing work in the future, I will definitely call Strong Plumbing!
