Gem Windows and Doors

Very happy with the job Gem has done. There was a small glitch with scheduling, but that was resolved and after that everything went very smoothly. The installers did a brilliant job, from the moment they arrived to the moment they left, you could see a professional team operating. They replaced our old outdated entrance way to a new modern beautiful entrance, exactly as we envisioned.

Gem came out and measured and told me about how long before they could do the job. The timeline was accurate, and the installers were exceptional. Knowledgeable, very tidy and friendly. I would highly recommend Gem.

Very disappointing. We have been trying to have our metal glass doors replaced for the last 2 years and after numerous attempts to reach out to Jim now we are being completely ignored. Quality of the doors installed is very poor with scratched glass and inadequate quality. After many promises from Jim to have these doors replaced now I cant even get a hold of him. For a company that prides itself on quality and excellent customer service, this is very disappointing. After giving them many chances I have to resort to this in order to get any response. I would not consider them for any other project and would definitely stay away. If there is an issue you will get many promises but no real solution.

As soon as we decided that we wanted to use GEM to supply and install interior glass doors into our Principal Suite hallway , the general manager came to the site to measure for a quote. Next a check-measure and doors were ordered. Ready for installation about 2 weeks earlier than quoted.
The installers were terrific! Great job. The doors are beautiful and wonderful quality ( black metal frame / handles and grids ). We would recommend them without hesitation.

Joe, Mike and Alex installed custom doors to accommodate wheelchair access.
They worked at an amazing pace to complete the installation.
A few years before Joe and his team installed triple glazed windows throughout our house. Significant savings on heating and greatly reduced street and neighbour noises.

Gem windows will always be our first choice.

Gem installed 20 windows and 3 sliding doors for me in 1999 and 24 years later, the doors needed some adjustment and 2 windows needed minor repairs. I sent photos, Jim provided a quote, service scheduled for 3 days later and the service team arrived on time. The fellows were professional, personable, neat, tidy and quick. They also saved me money by not replacing parts that the photos showed as possibly required.
So, super quality, long lasting product and GREAT customer service.

Its been over 15 years since I purchased complete windows and doors from the folks at Gem. Yet they were quick to find me in their records and help me to fix a broken and ripped sliding screen door for my patio.

From the people like Megan who handled me at the front of the store to Jim in the back executing the fix and helping to guide me with the reinstall, I was most pleased.

Gem Windows and Doors is a great example of the expression buy local. Well done all and thank you.

Purchased a double screen door for our garden patio doors. Lovely! Thrilled with the product and service. From the moment we stepped in to the show room we knew this was the company we wanted to deal with. The service from Jim and his sales and support team was incredible. Very knowledgeable. The gentlemen who installed the doors were friendly, professional and worked until the doors were perfect. Were very pleased!

This is a case of total neglecting, careless and incompetence connected directly with Jim. Well over 3 years since GEM has installed our front door, installer at the time had to use our tools to install the door which turned out to be well over a 1/4 inch offset -judging by the manufacturer who just recently came out to try to fix many issues with our door-. A real dreadful experience, just about a nightmare still remain. Shame on You! Watch out folks,
