We got 3 quotes from highly rated companies found in HomeStars, and decided to go with Master Deck because of Alec’s honest and straight shooter approach. While another contractor insisted that they would tear down an existing fence and overhang and charge us again to replace it, Alec was perfectly comfortable with working around the structures. I realized that the other contractor probably wanted to do the job as fast as possible instead of taking the care to work around obstacles. Alec and his crew arrived by 8 am every morning and worked diligently with professionalism to demolish and build our new deck, braving some cold/windy weather in April! Alec was easy to work with and accomdodated my specific design requests with a no-fuss, no-muss attitude. They even went above my expectations and raccoon-proofed around the base of the new deck, and fixed a few loose things around the fence for us. We’re so glad we chose to go with Alec and his crew at Master Deck, and his quote was very fair. We can’t wait to enjoy our new deck now! Keep up the good work guys!

We had Clarke Bsmt Systems install a triple safe sump pump years ago, and have continued to use them to perform regular maintenance on the pump. Fitz was great, explaining how we can better maintain the pump ourselves between service calls. We had him look at an issue at our walk-out basement pad, and he thorough explained the problems, and intervention needed. He got back to us with a quote and today, he returned with Adam to complete the project. We're very happy with the workmanship and their professionalism. Fitz explained everything along the way, and they arrived as scheduled, and left the job site extremely clean. We're very glad that we have found such a good company with excellent standards to work with! Well done Fitz and Adam!

Vule and Bosko were a great team to work with in tiling of my basement floor area. This project was very challenging due a very uneven floor. Vule was very good at explaining the challenges to me and presented options. They started exactly on time and worked diligently for the time Vule said the job would take. He even advised me on the right kind of tile to choose, even though originally I had my heart set on another tile which would have resulted in lippage due to the unevenness of the floor. We were very happy with the end result, and we were really glad to have chosen Vule Tile.

We used Encore for a storm door installation and aluminum capping of basement door entry. This job was originally given to another contractor who never ordered the storm door and Leyte project unfinished. Mike from Encore came in and advised me of what needes to be done, pros and cons of options, and gave me a quote that was very reasonable, without any pressure. I gave them the job, and the door was ordered and installed exactly as promised, in the expected time frame. The two gentlemen who came on installation day were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I know I will be a repeat customer. It is truly a breath of fresh air to find competent, accountable, and competitively-priced home improvement companies like Encore. Thanks!

I am so pleased to have decided to go with Reliable Home Comfort. Dave and Rob were very patient in answering our questions and concerns. Our builder model Lenox 90% efficiency furnace started to have problems after 7-8 years, and our repair bills started to accumulate. We decided to take advantage of the federal and pronvincial rebates still available and changed the entire system. We decided to go with Reliable Home Comfort because of their competitive pricing and warranties. Andrew and his team installed the furnace and AC in one full day, and kept our place clean and tidied. The process was seamless. We are now enjoying our new, and much quieter furnace, which will hopefully translate to some savings in our energy bills too! Thanks Dave and Rob for a job well done! Keith from Clarke Basement Systems was very professional and thorough, and gave me another lesson on how the pump works and how it should be maintained, since I have already forgotten since its installation few years ago. I was very happy with the initial installation few years back from Clarke, and still very satisfied with their maintenance service.

This is our 4th floor we have had installed by Robert (and Derek). We have used Robert for over10 years now, and have never been disappointed. We would wait for them to do the job even if their availability may not be as soon as other installers. They started the job exactly on the date scheduled, and finished exactly on time. I know this because once I made the mistake of asking for another installation company to install our second floor hardwood, and the results were disappointing and nothing compared to that of Robert and Derek's. We have used Robert at recommendation of a friend who is a distributor of a reputable hardwood flooring company (Vintage hardwood) on several projects over the last 10 years. Each time, he has come through with top quality workmanship and reliability. His prices are very fair. I have used another company before for another project because Robert was not available for the timing I needed, and I was sorry that I didn't use him that time. I could really tell between the difference in quality of workmanship between the other crew and Robert's work. Our last project was my mom's condo with glued down Vintage engineered oak with cork underpad. The condo flooring was perfect, and the condo went from average to glam!
