This is my second time using Smart Doors and all I can say is Michael and his crew are still nothing short of Amazing! They did a fantastic job on the installation of my new garage door and opener. They also did the capping which matches the rest of the house perfectly. Very pleased with the work and I'll continue to recommend them everywhere! Just wish all the contractors I've hired were as professional and had quality craftsmanship as the guys at Smart Doors!

Jani and Marian are awesome! Upgraded my ugly steel air vents to Aria vents (retrofit), ran an hdmi cable in the ceiling for a projector and installed a Tesla wall charger in my garage. They did a great job on everything. There were some issues with the paint not matching because of possibly mixed paint being used on my ceilings originally but they assured me they can fix it and they delivered. They painstakingly matched the colour as close as possible through several trials and nailed it. Theyre magicians! Also, we had an unfortunate incident where the first HDMI cable was faulty. The wire was in and the ceiling sealed up. Doh! They helped redo the job and didn't ask for extras. Stand up guys! Everything looks great! Huge thanks!

Matt and team were great. They came and installed a beautiful railing around our swim spa. Crew were friendly and efficient. My only criticism would be their clean up. They left some garbage and didn’t remove tape used to mark where the posts would be installed, completely, before installation. So I had to use a box cutter to remove as much of the tape as I could since they installed the post right on top of it and the post didn’t hide the tape. And the tape used was red on a grey deck. Stuck out like a sore thumb. Anyway, still giving them 9/10 stars because the installed railing is very sturdy and looks great. I recommend going with these guys if you have any glass or mirror needs. I’m going with them for additional glass work and I’m sure it’ll be just as fantastic.

The team at H2O Waterproofing is fantastic. I previously had waterproofing done by KP Waterproofing/Albatross, and the company didn't do a good job at all. Our finished basement had to be partially demoed during a renovation, and we realized water was leaking in from outside. This caused black mold everywhere over time. We thought this is impossible because we waterproofed seven years ago. I thought that's ok, we have a 20-year warranty. I called the original company, and they said they weren't in business anymore and said too bad and weren't going to honour the warranty. Now left in a tough spot, I had to search for a new company but was also leary after being burned by the previous one. H2O Waterproofing came to the rescue. Jakub, Jerry and Oscar did an excellent job! First, they did this when temperatures started dropping, and we had a couple of below 0 days in which they couldn't work. It was no problem because the next day when we had decent temperatures, they promptly showed up and finished the job. Also, the materials used were of better quality than what was used previously. The crew kept me informed every step of the way. They diagnosed the problems, fixed them and cleaned up after they were done. They're very professional, courteous and genuine guys. I can't recommend them enough!

Watermart is great! Donna-Maria was fantastic to work with and was very patient in explaining the details of the quote and answering my many questions. There was a bit of a concern as to where the softener would go (old house) but Watermart came on-site, took a look the situation and explained my options. Luckily I was able to put it in the preferred location. The installer, Kenny, was courteous and efficient. He was on site, explained the work he was going to do and walked me through the install, functions etc after he was done. I initially didn't see much of a difference between the hard and soft water so Watermart came out a second time to test the water, after I gave them a call about it. The technician Zia was efficient and confirmed the water hardness levels. He did a test in bypass mode and while the softener was running. To be honest, we only felt a difference about a week after installation. Maybe the system needed a bit of time to work through our pipes. Overall, it was a very good experience and top notch customer service. I'm very happy with Watermart and would recommend them to friends and family.

Andrei from Metro Plumbing and Drains is an awesome dude. Couldn’t be happier with the service he performed. Called him about my leaking toilet, and he said he’ll come out the same day! Within 3 hrs he arrived, assessed the problem and fixed it with some parts in his truck. The toilet needed to be reseated, new gasket and a new supply hose and everything now works as good as new. All done at a very fair price. Thanks Andrei!

James and his team were awesome. Arrived promptly and were flexible. I needed some additional branches cleared away and even though they were time strapped, he made it happen. Cleaned up the job site and removed all debris. Very happy with the service and I'll definitely call him again when my trees need pruning.

Big thank you to Village Copper Company. I'm sorry that this review comes so late. Long long overdue. After a shoddy job on the roof over my box bay window from another company, who convinced me that an aluminum roof is the way to go, I was feeling pretty crappy for beliving them. I'm sure an aluminum roof is not the worst but these guys did an awful job. Enough about the other company though. I contacted Village Copper Company and man am I glad I met James. Not only did he rip out the garbage the other company put in, but he installed a beautiful copper roof and managed to fix the uneveness in the roof which was as a result of the other company. If I need any kind of metal roofing work, i'll definitely be calling James and Village Copper. They're true professionals and their clean up after the job was done was amazing. Not a single piece of scrap left over. Dealing with several contractors previously, that was a first for me.

Needed to paint a 2br 2bath condo on short notice. Luckily, I found a few options, however, my decision to go with The Painting Hub was based on timing and communication. From the start, my interaction with Dan was awesome. Clear, easy to understand pricing (great self-serve option) and coordination of the crew to start on finish within the time needed made for an awesome experience. Carlo, the painter that arrived on-site, was knowledgeable, friendly and did an excellent job. We walked around and he explained what he would be doing and the approximate amount of time everything would take and got started right away. You can tell Carlo takes pride in his work. He pointed out things he didn't like and re-did it where necessary. To me it looked fine but he wanted everything done perfectly. Like I said in the subject, couldn't be happier with the work and experience with The Painting Hub. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a painter. Thanks again!

These guys are nothing short of professional. I have to say Dave and Chris are awesome. They knocked on my door, explained/verified the service they would be performing and let me know they'll knock when they're done. I have to say, they finished pretty fast so I was a little skeptical. I got out my ladder, took a walk on my roof and sure enough, they did a great job! The windows also looked fantastic. I just wanted to make sure those two were specifically recognized for the awesome job they did. They knocked on my door, let me know they were done and mentioned the various ways I could pay, shook his hand and they were on their way. I wish all my home services were handled to this level of professionalism and efficiency. Thanks guys!

Orlando and his team are nothing shy of professional. I contacted Signature construction to build a custom floor to ceiling built-in and install a motorized projector screen in the ceiling. Orlando worked tirelessly to get the job done on time and within my budget. Both he and his crew always left the job site clean and tidy. The finished product was awesome! My wife and I couldn't be happier. In fact, we were so pleased with Orlando's work that we asked him to do a back-splash and install a custom folding table in the laundry room right after the job was done. If you have an intricate or custom job or bigger renovations, Orlando and Signature Construction is the best.

Bledi and his crew are awesome! I recently hired Aluminum's Masters to remove and install new eavestroughs on my house and was very pleased with their work. We had an incident where the downspout didn't fit into the old downspout out into the backyard and although they provided a solution, since they didn't have the right size pipe or adapter, it wasn't ideal. I ended up getting an adapter that worked and Bledi came back and did the fix the next day! I was quite impressed with that. I will continue to use them in the future and will recommend their services to others.

These guys are nothing less than professional. Fantastic work, competitive price and their installers are awesome. Knowledgeable, install was done with the utmost care and clean up was better than expected. Overall I'm very happy with my new garage door and opener. Best thing about this door vs my old one was the difference in temperature in the garage. This insulated door is sealed so well the garage is actually warm therefore our basement is that much more comfortable since we have an entrance door to the garage. Thanks again guys!

This review is way overdue as my fiance and I had our mold issue resolved last year but felt it important to share our experience with Canada's Restoration Services. Alex and Aris from Canada Restoration Services are both very professional and do amazing work. We discovered some mould in our basement, which I thought was small enough that I could get rid of myself. Well I was wrong. Just because there's a little mold that you can see, doesn't mean it stops there. There was mold everywhere! I called Canada Restoration Services based on the reviews on Homestars and within 24 hours, Alex came out to assess the problem. He was very knowledgeable and provided a couple of solutions to fit our budget. After deciding to go with them, within a week, we had Aris and his team from Canada Restoration Services working on removing the mold. They were early, efficient, professional, completed the project faster than anticipated without sacrificing the quality of work. Thanks guys for all your work. I have been recommending you guys ever since.

Sick of not being able to properly get out of the car due to a narrow retaining wall that was also bowing (must have been a major design/structural flaw), my fiance and I decided we had to do something about it. After several quotes and meetings with other contractors, we decided to go with Harbord Valley/ Garden Gnomes. Boy were we happy we did! Not only did we decide to do our retaining wall but we also ended up doing our whole front landscaping which included an interlock driveway, natural stone steps, and an Ipe walkway. What a fantastic job they did. No kidding! Check out the pics! Tristan and Josh are nothing short of professional. First, Tristan did a CAD design based on our ideas we discussed and his own suggestions which we loved. He must have visited our place at least three times before we finally agreed on a design we liked. Talk about patience and dedication without even knowing he'd get the job. They worked within our budget and always suggested cost saving ideas as the budget was very tight. After hammering out details and signing on with them, they started two days later and showed up everyday rain or shine. The level of detail and professionalism really surpassed our expectations and their knowledge about landscaping, arboriculture and horticulture was refreshing. They cleaned every evening before leaving, so that there was the least amount of dirt/mud possible which is very important since our house on the side of the street with a sidewalk. We would highly recommend Harbord Valley/Garden Gnomes Landscaping as their main goal is the customer satisfaction and not to rush the job to move on to the next one.
