Hired Triple T Appliance Repair five years ago to fix a badly shaking dryer and he did a great job - lint needed to be cleaned out and the blower wheel had been thrown out of balance from lint causing the shaking. Five years later and the same problem returned. We tried to clean out as much lint through the lint trap but it wasn't good enough so I called Triple T again. He arrived on schedule, took off the front panel and door, inspected everything and cleaned it out. Then he said he couldn't put it back together as he had somehow damaged a connector on the front panel on one of the control boards. He said he would take the board with him as he had a technician who repaired these things for him, and that he would have the board back to us and reinstall it in one or two days, tops - for no extra charge. Over two weeks later - after numerous text and voice mail messages - Triple T never showed up until I asked him to return the parts he took - these parts were worth well over $500 new. The parts then appeared at our front door, early the next morning with no knock on the door. Anyway, I took a close look at the board, saw that 4 pins on the connector in question were slightly bent, easily straightened them in 2 seconds, re-inserted the plastic retainer on the pins, and it was fixed just like that - perfectly. Triple T could have easily done it himself when he was here. Anyway, in re-installing the front and top panels I also had several extra screws left over and subsequently found that Triple T had removed several screws unnecessarily - forcing me to remove the panels again, inspect the inside frame carefully and reinstall all of the extra screws back into their correct locations. What I don't understand is how a technician who was so great five years ago could turn into a major disappointment five years later - servicing the very same issue on the very same appliance!

We would definitely use this company again. We hired them to move furniture and appliances around within our 3-storey house as we were moving from one unit to another newly renovated unit. We had a game plan of course, but the guys arrived on time and immediately got to work completing everything we needed within the 4 hour minimum window. The workers were very friendly and pleasant, and it was tough to keep up with them even though they were the ones carrying the load.

Roman of Wood=Mood actually approached me after seeing my request for a tile contractor in an "early bird gets the worm" . . . or rather "job" scenario. For Roman, it turns out that I already had purchased the vinyl plank flooring for our full basement reno and the 12x24 vinyl tiles for our new first floor kitchen, and would be looking for an installer after my tile contractor was done and gone - service which Roman was still pleased to provide even though his company tends to do more traditional wood flooring. Anyway, we received what I felt was a really good price and Roman was quite willing to meet our schedule - which they did. His installer Bart was very fast and very accurate in installing both products which pleased us very much.

We sought out Meeham Plastering & Drywall for for their excellent rating and were not disappointed. Gavin drywalled our basement renovation project where we had lowered the basement, and did wall and ceiling patching to our first floor new kitchen reno where we had to run new electrical wiring and put in a new ceiling bulkhead. All-in-all there had to be quite a few ceiling bulkheads on the project which increases the difficulty of the work. Gavin completed the work within the schedule we had allowed and did a stellar job. Gavin is an Irish plasterer by trade and his attention to detail showed up on the project. We truly appreciate the work and would highly recommend Meeham Plastering & Drywall for your project.

We sought out Tilestars on the basis of their top reviews, and hired them on the basis of price and confidence in skill. We were not disappointed. We wanted a tile-setter who was not going to farm out the work to someone else and who would be there full-time for the duration of the job and that's exactly what Dimitri did. Our project involved the tiling of floors and all of the walls in two new basement washrooms as part of our basement lowering project, a relatively big job, and the work was carried out to perfection even though walls and squareness of the room weren't perfect - Dimitri made it look perfect. We truly appreciate the work and would highly recommend Tilestars for your project.

Very pleased with Consumers Choice. Louie was contracted to install the ductwork, zoned duct system, and central AC using Goodman (furnace & AC) and Honeywell equipment which I had purchased. Many companies would not do that, but I still received the same warranty that they would pass along to me if they had bought it. Overall, it was a complicated job for a residential project as the system was set up for 3 zones with 3 thermostats using Honeywell's highly-rated Truezone system - not a common house HVAC system in Toronto. The Goodman equipment selected was also their top of the line digitally controlled, high efficiency furnace and 2-stage AC unit which frankly, not many HVAC companies are that well-versed in installing. Added to the mix was that I'm a recently retired architect and expect excellent results. Louie and company came through in flying colours. In routing the complicated ductwork, Consumers kept runs compactly located in the designated concealed areas with no issues. In starting up the system, we noticed that while Goodman's equipment is great, their technical documents tended to be poorly written and inadequate. Since Louie is an authorized Goodman dealer and technician, he had no problems working with Goodman's technical people in Houston.

We were very happy with VMB's work and highly recommend them. The prospect of lowering of a basement floor is a complicated enough venture what with site logistics, schedule, underpinning, waterproofing, weeping tile and sanitary drainage, temporary structural supports and more, but I'm a retired architect and this particular project also happened to be my personal home with very specific design requirements - a challenge which they gladly met. We lived in the home through the entire schedule, though we were located in the second-third floor unit. It still added to the complexity of coordinating the work. Mike, their site manager was always available, responsive, very knowledgeable about the work and always conscious about the schedule. The workers were all hardworking, knew their daily tasks and simply got it done. Happily, VMB was not the type of company to waste everyone's time with 'nickel & diming' arguments. They are as interested in getting the work expeditiously done to your satisfaction as you are in wrapping it up as quickly possible.

We needed to change our eavestroughing on the lower roof system to comply with Toronto's sanitary disconnection requirements, and Bledi installed all new seamless aluminum gutters and downpipes for the same cost of trying to muck around and modify the slopes of the existing system. End result is that it was brand new work that looked far better than what we were originally expecting. Bledi also ensured it met City requirements for drainage.
