Delivery from Ontario to Alberta

Never hire this company. Lost, broken things. Unreturned phone calls. Uncaring attitude. Weeks late delivery with no calls to say why. We had to make all calls to attempt to get information. Insisted on pay before delivery. Missing an antique table, antique hutch and the top off of an antique small table and who knows what else.

Service

I had a move with multicity moving about a week ago now, I was moving from britsh colmbia to mississauga. I have to say despite my concerns and being stressed out with moving in general I had a great experience. I booked with a lady named Nicole she was extremely good with answering all of the rediculous questions I asked and making me feel comfortable with this big move. I liked how she kept in contact with me during the process and ensured that I was satisfied both with the movers coming to get my things and after I had recived them. On the actual day that the movers came I was a bit of a mess ! They arrived half an hour late but I really liked that they called me ahead of time to let me know that they would be late because of traffic, so i didnt have to worry. There were so many things to do and i wasnt sure how long it would all take, I have moved once before with another company in the past and the lack of organization from the movers was brutal. To my suprise with this company, the movers were very polite and professional and made me feel better in trusting them with my things. They wrapped all of my furniture and they even gave me a few extra boxes and helped me pack some last minute items. I was impressed with the fact that they took the time to label each box and as they loaded they even made a list of all the boxes and furniture I had, I got to keep a copy of it.

When my things finally arrived, I was so happy to see that the same movers dropped them off as when they got my things the first time. They brought everything into my home and allowed me to show them where I wanted them to put my things for me which made it a lot easier for me in the end. Everything was still wrapped and packed up in the original boxes I put them in on the day they left. And after going through the list they gave me I have recieved everything. Nicole gave me a call later that morning and asked me how everything went with my move and if I was happy with the service. I was so relived that my move went smoothly and that I didnt run into any problems and I was happy to tell her that.

Overall after my experience with this company, I can gladly say that if I were to ever move again I would go with them. I am thankful that everything arrived in one peice, and I was so excited when my things came I even tipped the movers !

move

I recently move from Vancouver BC to Toronto, ON. I have used this company Multi City, and found them to be wonderful! I moved my daughter and I, from our one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment in Toronto.

The main person I dealt with Meghan, she was very helpful! I was so nervous to higher a moving company, but I was very much reassured by Meghan everything would be okay. when the movers showed up to my house, they were professional, and cared for my things as they were their own.

Shipping my goods was no problem! it only took 8 days and I received my goods. The delivery was great, the gentlemen came in and place all my items where I wanted them. I was so pleased with the manners and respect these fellows had.

I had many many questions and concerns through out this process (I am such a worry wart) I continued to ask by phone and email to Meghan and she had no problem answering them, and helping me through the process. I would receive replies within the business day from her. She was very patient and understanding.

I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for reliable movers, and an affordable cost.

Household move from Cochrane, AB to Guelph, ON

BEFORE you even consider Multicity Moving - please read my story. I would classify this entire experience as being the absolute worst customer service fiasco I have EVER encountered. If there was an opportunity to grade this company as a -10, it would not even describe it. We are in the process of relocating from Alberta to Ontario. We decided to do a preliminary partial move as I went ahead of my husband to Ontario. We shopped the web and Multicity was reasonably priced, and the "General Manager", Brock was very pleasant and helpful. We paid our deposit and agreed to work with Brock. HOWEVER, once the deposit was paid, Brock was highly unapproachable and very unresponsive. We were due a pick up of good on Aug 10 - given a vague time of perhaps 2pm....and finally the truck showed up at 9:30pm that night. The drivers were disgruntled and complained about a delay at a house before. My husband ended up helping them load the truck. The items were then shipped to a warehouse in Edmonton and then grouped together with other orders - then shipped to a warehouse in Mississauga, where it was then loaded on a truck and sent to my house. Delivery was made on the date in Guelph as promised - however, no confirmation of time is given to you so you have no idea when they are going to show up. The delivery team was actually very good...the 3 gentlemen were very courteous and pleasant - they should be commended. There was considerable damage done to our goods. Our mattress (new) had a huge black dirty mark on the side. A teak chair (irreplaceable - about 60 years old) had it's backrest snapped. My grandmothers Wedgewood china (a wedding gift to me) was in a box clearly marked "extremely fragile" and contained a 8 set, 5 piece dinner set and it was CRUSHED. like not dropped...but literally as though a heavy piece of equipment was dropped the box - the sides were popped open. Only 3 plates survived and 5 tea cups. We had another box with beautiful ceramic platters that were shattered as well. I filled out my claims and submitted within the 10 day time period and have not heard a word from them as of today's date. Naturally, Brock did not respond to my husband's calls regarding the claim. We spoke with a customer service representative who told us that we were one of 42 families having items shipped out of Edmonton that filed claims. 42 families!!!!! Needless to say, I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and we have hired a much more expensive and professional company to complete our move. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Terrible Move to Buffalo from Toronto

Its hard to fathom how people can treat people like they treated us and then sleep at night... and then do it again everyday. Terrible terrible people. We were told 2 days for delivery, it took 7. The only reason it took 7 is because we were on the phone constantly for days harassing them, demanding delivery. Abraham and Brock are very bad people. It must be a family run operation or something because they all cover each others backs. But it gets to a point where they forgot the stuff they tell you, and they don't care. I once called Abraham's phone and said "Abraham?". He said "No". I said "you aren't with multicity?" He said "No" and hung up. It was unreal. A few days later I called that same number and spoke to Abraham, but he obviously didn't remember.

Two pictures are of the unmarked truck that picked up my stuff. Notice the orange tape with the "MultiCity" name written on it. Can you believe that? Also the the other two are of the truck that arrived with my stuff which was just stuffed to the max.

Moving from Florida To Peterborough (due to health issues)

They were late for pick up causing us to pay more for accommodations i Florida as al of our items were already packed. And I lost 2 days work b\c of this. They were a week late on delivery as well. We were asked to meet them at Canada Customs at 10am and they arrived at noon and were terribly rude and unprofessional. Several items were
broken, boxes crushed and upside down on truck. Even dressers were brought in upside down. Our things were finally delivered yesterday, to our great relief. I will add pictures later, once I get into the boxes. Their customer service is deplorable....even laughing out loud at our concerns!!!
Maybe a "class action lawsuit" would dispel their arrogance

A horrible horrible mover!!!

Dear friends,
You really do not want to try Multicity Moving. It is a terrible terrible company. We moved from Toronto to Calgary last Month. They will pretend to be nice before you sign a contract, but they are very rude; especially, the general manger, Brock, he is the person that you never want to talk with. They lost my many valuable items, but they never try to find them or compensate for the loss. They also overcharged me extra 100$ for warehouse handing fee which is not on the quote. Moreover, they added almost 1000 lbs weight which overcharged about 500$. As their driver said, adding 1000 lbs is nothing to this company. Here I am telling everything true, and I hope other people will not be hurt by their dishonest service.

DONT WALK... RUN FROM MULTICITY !!!

Dear Readers, please read my review but also the recent reviews below of this company - MULTICITY, before you decide to hire them. I completely REGRET not reading the reviews, before I hired Multicity. I so regret it !!!! I have dealt with many moving companies in the past, I have moved several times across the world and moved around in Europe and Canada, BUT I never ever experienced such rude, unprofessional, incompetent, unfriendly and awful customer service until I hired Multicity. At the beginning they are all very polite, friendly and professional...no doubt about it, BUT.. DONT BE FOOLED, because once they come for your belongings...that's it !!! The nightmare begins ! Customer service with Multicity went from GOOD/POLITE to HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL service ! And the person who calls himself the manager - Brock, wow...where did they find him??? WOW !!! What a joke ! And how is it possible someone like him, can be in a position such as a manager ??? Who offers such poor, terrible, horrible, awful and unprofessional customer service to their clients ?! Plus, every time I would call the office, (AFTER they took our belongings), Brock the manager, could never give me a concrete answer of WHERE were our things or WHEN would they be delivered to our new home? And would you believe that, every time I called the office to speak directly to him, when I was still on the telephone talking, he would LITERALLY hang up the phone leaving me hanging...on the phone. Unbelievable ! And you call that customer service ?!?! WOW !?! Before Multicity came to pick up our belongings at the house, Brock himself and the Sales Rep Meghan, were very polite, friendly and CONFIRMED several times over the telephone to me... assuring that our belongings would be delivered within 7 to 10 days at the destination, WITHOUT COUNTING THE SUNDAYS on the calendar - NEVER HAPPENED !!! And that was when our NIGHMARE began...when they took our belongings. From day one, they gave us their word that our things would arrive within those 10 days...They were late 10 days !!! My family and I (we have a baby) had to live on hard wooden floors in an EMPTY home for 10 DAYS STRAIGHT !!! Because we couldn't afford to be eating out EVERYDAY and stay in a hotel, we had to buy extra things to have, in order to SURVIVE with our baby !!! Such as air mattresses, utensils, bed sheets, towels, plates, pots, cups, pans, things for our daughter, etc. - ALL EXTRA EXPENSES which could of been voided if Multicity had been honest and a reliable company. We trusted this company and its been nothing but a total nightmare, with everything...from their customer service, to the day they delivered our damaged and broken items, they CAUSED during the move. The sales rep told me that we would be up-to-date with where our things would be at all times in transit- NEVER HAPPENED !! I was the one who had to call the office several times and majority of the times I called the office: or No answer, or no employee knew what was going on ? Or where our belongings were or when would they be delivered? NO ONE KNEW NOTHING. Plus every time I spoke to our sales rep she would say: okay I will look into that right away madam and I understand your frustration, I will call you right back today - NEVER HAPPENED !! They say they will call you back but they never do and forget the emails, because they really don't bother to reply back either. Now imagine our frustration...in an empty home with a baby...no furnisher, no items, no pots or pans to cook...no nothing !!! All because Multicity did not comply with their word when we first hired them back in August this year. Plus, the say no hidden costs...well I disagree because we were never told we had to pay for extra packaging such as the TV the movers packed and other items. Sales Rep said it was included with the quote. And their inventory sheet was totally incorrect and I did not sign it. Furthermore, when we got our things (10 days later), I was told by the sales rep and the manager that we would received our receipt of payment together with our Scale Ticket - NEVER HAPPENED !! The Driver who delivered of things, said sorry madam but I don't have nothing to give you.. you will have to contact Multicity to claim your paperwork. Which I did ! I called and email them many times throughout that week and after several attempts of calling and sending email (plus all the stress I went through)...I finally got our receipt, BUT still till this date, NO Scale Ticket to proof our weight. Nothing. The only information we have of the total weight of our things is on our multicity contract where someone wrote on contract the weight but where did they get the number?? So I called and said to the sales rep, so tell me, where is the proof of my weight ? Where is the scale ticket with my name on it? She would always reply with the same answer, I am still waiting for the reply back from the other company who delivered your things. I will email you right away, once I receive a copy. Well...its been now almost 2 weeks that I have been requesting our scale ticket... and still nothing. No email. No calls. No nothing.
So my advise to the new clients is - if you care about your personal belongings and don't want any headaches or problems or extra expenses...THEN STAY AWAY FROM MULTICITY !! If I still haven't convinced you with my horrible review above, then have a look at some of our pictures that we took when we received our things. Our hearts were broken because most of our furnisher was engagement gifts and now they are destroyed or broken. We filed a complaint regards to our damaged items, and their reply was, we will get back to you after 3 to 4 weeks. Huh..if they are like their deliveries dates, than I can see that it will probably take them 4 months if not more to get back to us and that is..If they will compensate us for all our trouble, losses and damages caused by their company.TOTAL NIGHTMARE, that we are still going through unfortunately. KEEP AWAY !!!!! There are many more other moving companies !!!

Moving from Mississauga to Edmonton

I would first start by saying that I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. It has been a month now, since I contracted this company to move my belongings from Mississauga to Edmonton and I haven't received them back. I have been contacting each week to inquire when they are going to be delivered, they don't reply to my emails. I moved to Universityn and most of the textbooks I bought where in my boxes, and had to buy used textbooks to avoid missing assignments. I contacted them by phone, and they told me it takes 2 to 3 weeks for my items to be delivered, which doesn't even make sense, for something that should have taken only a week, furthermore now that now that I've waited almost 4 weeks. The customer service was unhelpful, and I haven't received any answer to when my items are going to get them. I am extremely frustrated and very disappointed.
